I guess I realized that a little bit, but not to the extent that it really does get to me. I've been horrible the past few days just gritching and moaning and griping and snapping, etc. Dh took the kids to play at the creek this afternoon and gave me the opportunity to get a good hour's worth of cleaning in. I can't believe how much better I feel!!! 8o Someone please remind of of this the next time I'm suffering from pms??? Pretty please?

Am I turning into my mother??? 8o :nervous:

ROFL!! I have to laugh because when we play euchre we always face my mom toward the dirtiest part of the house. It always throws her game off. We look around and point out a cobweb or something out of place. It is just hilarious!

I'm glad you got things tidied up!!

ROFL! I am the same way with the mood when the house is overwheming me. Lately I swear every day I swear I am telling someone to pick up after themself and lately I've added comments about no one ever having to pick up anything left behind by me. So, where you were glad to have that hour alone I guess I am looking for some help or just the basics of each person being responsible for their own stuff so I can clean. lol

My mood changes with how clean my house is too! LOL If I get a good scrubbing in, then I feel elated for the rest of the day. I have heard people who are like that are lacking orderliness (is that even a word? LOL) in outside word. Kinda like cluttered house, cluttered mind. That is so me.LOL

Can't say I've ever felt that much better because of a clean house. LOL But, I'm glad that you do!! :) If I need to cheer myself up...usually cleaning is not the first thing I think of.

I am that way, not because I got to clean but because the house is clean. Just feels so much better when it's done. I do however must admit that I am what Amy said, cluttered house/mind. Think I thrive on chaos or I just tell myself that I do to make myself feel better about having too much junk I need to get rid of. lol I am determined that one day I will be free of clutter and be a minimalist. I hope! LOL

Angie, that is such a crack-up! Does your mom know you're doing this on purpose??

Karla, I have the same (constant) gripe about no one picking up after themselves. Usually right before I'm ready to clean I'll go through the entire house, room by room and have everyone pick up their crud and go put it where it belongs. Makes cleaning tons easier, lol!

Amy that describes me to a "T"! I can't seem to think or get myself organized if things aren't at least semi-neat around here.

Judy, let me know if you find any such thing as a happy medium! :D

I think dh is glad he and the kids got away for a while this afternoon. It does feel so nice to have things under control again. It wasn't horrific or anything, but I think my clutter tolerance level has significanly lowered in the past few years!

At any rate, it's nice to know I'm not nuts. :crazyroll

Pam, I have yet to find a happy medium for sure with things .. uggg !! but when the carpal hit had to learn to let it go. spent almost about 1 month in tears because things were so yuckie to me. At that time everything had a place and it BEST be in its place; but NOT since then .. lololol I have gone back and forth so much attempting to figure out just what would make me happy with it that for a long time would just dust, vacuum, and make sure the dishes were all done. (now that created a problem because I am right-handed) and the left one just took so long to work with .. lololol not sure I will ever find it either .. lolol if I haven't in the last 12 yrs dont' think there really is one; but it sometimes just drives me NUTSO .. grrr .. lolol And thats when I have to be careful for sure, because thats when the "cleaning" can lead to throwing things out.. not good not good.. lololol :goofy:

If you really want to make her crazy, face her toward the kitchen and leave cabinet doors open haphazardly. (That one gets me too!)

I have gone in her house and opened all the cabinets while she was gone. :tinysmile

Dh hates it if I take something out of the microwave before the timer ends and don't clear the remaining time off....so sometimes I do it on purpose. :goofy: :D

OMG... this is me!! Dh is always having to clear it out for me because it will sit there and blink until it is. He'll open it up and of course... my coffee cup is usually always sitting in there. (because I was heating it up and forgot about it) LOL Glad I'm not the only one who does this... :)

Ugh... this would drive me crazy too. I would definitely have to get up and close them. I also can't stand things hanging crooked on the walls. Ugh...

I don't leave stuff in there - I take it out before it beeps and then the remaining time stays on there instead of going back to the clock. (make sense??) For whatever reason it drives dh :crazyroll :goofy:

The microwave thing drives me crazy too. Brichard does that all the time! He also will pull the can opener out of the cabinet, open a can, and leave the lid on the can opener and leave it all on the counter. Arg!! lol

Okay, that would irritate me, too. It's like dh making a sandwich and leaving the crumbs on the counter!! Grrrrrrrrrrr! LOL! Somehow I see a difference btwn theses things and me not pushing one simple little button. :D

Dd did that one time... I didn't see it and accidently cut myself on the sharp corner of the lid. Ugh... Never did that again.......

Things like that or... crumbs? Dh likes a snack before he goes to bed and sometimes will make himself some toast. Puts it on the counter when he butters it then leaves the crumbs behind. I just hate waking up to crumbs and/or dishes in the sink. :( I've told him that if he's ambitious enough to make a snack he should have as much ambition to clean it up. LOL

Years ago my mom left the lid attached to the can and then my brother stuck his hand in the can and of course it got stuck in there. Can't just pull it out, will cut him. Mom was beside herself and my unlce came in at around the same time. He managed to cut the can open and gave my &^!* about leaving the two attached. If it wasn't for his cool head at the time, mom is sure brother would have lost fingers. Guess his hand was really wedged in there. I always totally take the lid off and then squeze the can so it cannot fall out. If I'm chopping veggies or something I will fill the can with any peelings or garbage just to make sure.

Ugh... funny how you don't forget those things and how we make sure it never happens to us/our children.
