No morning thread yet? Today is a busy one for us! The girls have their physicals this morning at 10:15 and ds1 has an appointment with an orthopedist to check out his legs/feet at 1:30. It took over three hours for the boys to get their physical done, so I just hope I have time after the girls are done to run back to the school, get ds and get back downtown for his appointment. 8o
Hmmm... that's about it! Maybe it's not so busy after all. I just cringe when things have to be juggled so closely. :D
Hope ya'll have a great day!

Not going anywhere today. Those meds last night made me dizzy so I don't want to drive. Hopefully will get some things done in the house. Depends on how my wrist is tonight I may go to play euchre, not keeping my hopes up because I'm afraid of doing more harm.
Good luck with all the appt's today Pam.
Hope you all have a good day :)

Happy George Washington's Birthday!! (and my dd's, too) :tinysmile
Working around the house today getting it picked up, cleaned, etc. Taking dd lunch and cupcakes at school today then some errands. Picking up my parents for an Italian dinner at church tonight. There is a boy's choir from a miltary school nearby that's performing; dd wanted to do this for her b'day dinner. Quite the cheap date - all the Italian food you can eat for $15 a family! Guys are gonna love to date her! :)
Mel, take care of that wrist. :)
Pam, busy busy day!
Happy birthday to your dd, Jen...too funny about being a 'cheap date'!
work till noon (home for lunch). been invited to dinner at a very dear friend of my family tonite...her daughter and sil are some of our best friends. my dad and his wife will be there too.
Jen- happy birthday to your dd
AnnW - have fun at your supper
Pam - hope the timing works out for your appointments
Mel - take care of that wrist
Lazy day this morning, nothing planned till first gym class at 3:00 today then don't get home till 8:30.
Enjoy your day all

Morning...I think I finally am getting this sleep thing straightened out...I cut down the muscle relaxer at night....Then when I wake up in the night with discomfort I only take a quarter of the pill and it relaxes the pain enough to go back to sleep...slept until dbf got up...but kept dosing off until 10.
Nothing exciting...just some appointments later....maybe pick up a few things from the food store...nothing exciting.
Jen- happy birthday to your dd
AnnW - have fun at your supper
Pam - hope the timing works out for your appointments
Mel - take care of that wrist....I must have missed the post what happened to it?

Good morning!!! What a beautiful day it is today. It's suppose to get up to 30 degrees... heat wave compared with what we've been having. It's nice to have the sun shining again. :)
Picked my mom up early and went grocery shopping. Taking a quick break here before I get Sarah. I haven't had her for a while, and probably won't have her too long today either. They've got an appointment with Sarah's dietition at 3:00. Treadmill and exercise after they're gone. Picking my mom up after dh gets home from work, then to Target to pick up her meds.
Looking forward to a nice quiet evening with dh and watching all our shows. Nothing much else...
Hope you're all having a good day!!

What excercise have you been doing other than the treadmill? Do you use weights?

I took dd in for her add check up. All is well and we are staying on the strattera 18mg. She has had abdominal pain so we are going to switch from taking it in the morning to taking it with dinner. We had lunch at Arby's, then I took her back to school.
I've got to go and fill food pantry orders tonight. I'm waiting for the kids to come home because they love to go with me.
Pam, busy day...hope all goes well.
Mel...take it easy.
Jen...happy birthday to your dd and enjoy your meal at the Church.
Ann, enjoy your dinner too.
Fern...I guess your lazy morning is over now...or almost, lol.
Vea, wow you slept late.
Diane, could you not have hit Target when you were out with your mom this morning so you don't have to make two trips?
Angie, hope the switch in the time of day your dd takes her meds helps with the abdominal pain.

I usually do 3 to 4 miles on the treadmill. We've also got a SOLOFLEX machine that I do a bunch of routines on. Besides that I do anywhere between 35 to 50 sit and push up's. I also have one of those big balls I do a few things on but, that's about it. I'm sure there is a lot more I could probably be doing, but I'm pretty pooped by the time I'm done doing what I do. :)

You'd think... but it doesn't work that way. :( I've had her AT Target on a Wednesday to pick up a prescription after a dr.'s appointment. She'll pick up her script... but nothing else she needs/wants. She'll leave that for her trip there later. I don't think it's necessarily that she NEEDS to go to Target... she just WANTS to go there, because she's getting out of the house (again) and is doing something WITH someone. LOL What can I say... :)

Nothing exciting here - going to tape AI tonight and run out to get groceries. I am sooooo tired though and would much rather just crawl into bed. LOL!

BC child is gone!!! The mom hasn't paid me yet. She is supposed to drop the check off Friday with the loaner clothes she has at home. Just hoping she does it then and have it over with. Kind of wondering if she'll 'come unglued' (her famous words) on us ripping us apart and blaming us for all her son's problems. I really need to be paid but at this point I'm just satisfied that he's gone!! Stupid brat bit me on the leg today--at naptime he walked up to a little girl's mat where she was about to get settled, took her pillow and said "I want this one." The little girl of course followed him crying, "that's mine!" They were down on the floor struggling to get the pillow from each other. I get down, pry the pillow out of his hand and he moves around and bites my leg above the knee cap.
Other than that it was a pretty good day. I got a new preschooler signed up for next fall. His mom was referred to me by her sister. I had this sister's little boy when I worked at the other preschool. When the mom asked her sister about that preschool, she told her to call me. I had no idea that I made an lasting impression on this family. Nice to know I did though!! :)
Jenn-happy birthday to you dd!!
Hope you all had a good day!!

It doesn't sound like he respected you or your aid. :( I've had children in my day care that I didn't quite "click" with... it just wasn't there and I found myself having to try extra hard to like them and make them feel loved and cared about while they were in my care. Sometimes I think frustration gets the better of us... especially when the child in question not only doesn't click with us, but is also not the nicest/sweetest little thing in the world, which makes our job that much harder. :( It's probably a good thing for you and him that he left. Hopefully things will run a lot more smoothly (and quietly) with him not there. Hope you enjoy your nice/quiet day tomorrow. LOL
Also... congrats on signing up a new child!!! It's always so nice to get a referral from a happy client. :)

:) I'd charge them up front for their last two weeks after I had been given notice or... I make them pay in advance when they first signed up. That way if they just get up and leave for some reason... I've already been paid.
I hope she comes today to pay you Linda... nothing like working hard for your $$ and then not getting paid for it. :)

I probably could have. I know the mom wouldn't have liked it. People here just aren't open to these 'new fangled' ideas like pre-paying and paying for a slot rather than the time the child's actually in attendance.
I probably should have pre-billed her for the two weeks, pi$$ed her off , she wouldn't have come back and I'd have been done with him 2 weeks ago!!
