Up early, just couldn't sleep.
ds lost his game yesterday so is out of the tournament. He's a little disappointed but handling it much better than he use to. He has a few more regular games before the final tournament so is looking forward to that.
we're off to mil for dinner this afternoon. It's an early b'day dinner for dd#1, since mil will be away next weekend. Not much else planned. Just church then come home and do something with the kids.

Good morning. Didn't get up in time for church, darn. ;) I'm enjoying a couple of hours of alone time until dh comes back home. Dd slept over at mom's and is going to work for her today, so she'll be home around 4ish.

I ended up doing nothing yesterday so I WILL start laundry here shortly.

So what is everyone up to today? I plan on a trip to Walmart later, but for right now, I am sitting here trying to settle my stomach. I woke up hungry, and started eating, but then I started feeling sick, so I quit. I am waiting for it to pass. Dh has to finish his school work today. he was going to do it yesterday, but he got started on the yard. It looks so much better though, so I can't gripe. We were going to go to the neighbor's last night for her birthday party, but we were both too tired and were in bed by 9:00. We don't know them that well anyway. We have only spoke over the fence, but I still feel bad about not going. Oh well, maybe I will bake something and carry over later today. Anyways, no big plans for us today. I guess we are just gonna take it easy. Hope everyone has a great day!

Started a Monopoly game with the guys last night - will finish it today. Hope to go to church today, but ds is on crutches (had an ingrown toenail cut out), and df is sick, so we'll see. We have 3 hours to pull it together if we're going. Have a job assignment beginning tomorrow - need to drive over and see where it is so there are no surprises in the morning.

Jen - when your dd works for your Mom, what does she do? Clean house, or does your Mom have some kind of a business?

Jen - when your dd works for your Mom, what does she do? Clean house, or does your Mom have some kind of a business?

She helps clean house, does yardwork, and piddly stuff mom just doesn't have time to get to with stepdad being ill.

(edited) And how sweet is this? Dd said to me "I'd go help Grammy even if they weren't paying me. In fact, I wish they wouldn't pay me". :)

Jenn - that's an "I did something right raising her" moment, now isn't it!!! How sweet!

I woke up at 9:30 in dd's bed and she was scratching like crazy. She has pox all over, in her mouth and even inside the unmentionable spot. Bless her ever loving heart! I'm hoping they are done popping out and now on to drying up.

Another day in the house for us... lol I need to do the laundry which no matter how much I do the pile doesn't seem to be diminishing? How can that be? lol

Ann I feel for you, dh made apple martinis last night, and I am NOT a Vodka gal....feel a little yucky today.....dh went into work, they are having internet/network problems...:rolleyes: I am leaning toward going getting a major hair cut....I let it grow out, and well I now remember why I like it so short.....kids and I are planning to watch the Karate Kid later....not much else planned


Watching I love TOYS on VH1 and laughing my butt off....:lol:

Morning all! I can't believe it is snowing again! Another 20cm forecast! I hope it doesn't get as bad as Wed/Thursday cause I have to have dd to the hospital at 9am tomorrow.
She is getting scoped from both ends and is not a happy camper. She is on a liquid diet since yesterday and is hungry. She has to take the laxatives today, so by tomorrow morning I'll probably have to carry her in there.
Didn't hear anything about the job I applied for, so I am assuming I wansn't granted an interview. I will be going to the employment center on Thursday to see if they have any good job postings that could pay the right amount and be a decent job.

Morning all! I can't believe it is snowing again! Another 20cm forecast! I hope it doesn't get as bad as Wed/Thursday cause I have to have dd to the hospital at 9am tomorrow.
She is getting scoped from both ends and is not a happy camper. She is on a liquid diet since yesterday and is hungry. She has to take the laxatives today, so by tomorrow morning I'll probably have to carry her in there.

Darlene, I hope it goes okay and it's all over with quickly. Poor girl!

Angie, poor dd. My kids had it, not ds3 yet, but they barely had any spots, they didn't get too sick. They were both very young at the time, we were lucky. I hope she finds relief soon. I know when ds1 had hives, he just loved the oatmeal baths. Maybe she will too?

Kids are all gone, some barely slept but were so good. They picked out some movies and watched them in the rec room, didn't have to worry much since they couldn't turn on satelite (even reg. cartoon networks can be raunchy in the night). Fed them all breakfast and then the parents came. They all had a fun time.
Today we are going to the ski hill. Kids have their last day of lessons and since it is so beautiful outside, dh is going to ski as well. Ds3 and I will hang out and play in the snow and watch them. I can see an early bedtime for some boys tonight.

well, I cut it all off...short short short.......love it....

I had grown it out down to my shoulders and it just wasn't doing for me....felt stringy and un attactive....now that is short...boy short.....I feel so light....

dh is going to love it....he likes it pikey short.....

I'm sure your neighbors understood. :) I remember getting so sick like that when I was pregnant too. :( I hope you're feeling much better. :) It's not fun but well worth all your going through in the end. LOL

I've tried growing my hair out a few times... but I get too frustrated with it before it gets to the length I want it to be and I end up getting it cut off. 8o It's SO much easier to take care of, plus dh likes me better in short hair. :)

I saw my sister for the first time since Christmas and was surprised to see that she's growing her hair out. It's been real short for over 25 years... she really looks nice/different. :)
