Have I ever posted about this? I found the idea on another site years ago (sorry Pam and David!). DSs 1 & 2 thought it was the greatest thing. I tried it with DS3 a few years ago, but he saw no humor in it. I may try it again this year - surely he's forgotten. You take red jello and let it set up in a glass to look like Kool-aid. Add a straw too. A scoop of vanilla ice cream with buterscotch topping looks like mashed potatoes and gravy. Soft peanut butter cookies can be shaped to look like chicken nuggets. There's candy that you can buy that looks like peas and carrots - I'll have to see if I can find it online again. Or, I saw something recently somewhere about a Mom who made food - vegetables, etc. - out of soft candy (I'm assuming Starburst or something) for professional food photographers. That might work, too. I really must get back to work!!

I just saw some in the April Family Fun magazine - looks like the same ones Angie linked. In the magazine, the Chicken Not-Pie looked so real!!
Donna - They used Starbursts for the carrots and the chewy Jolly Rancher candy for the peas bcuz they said the green is darker than the Starbursts and looks more real. :)

I think this would be a blast! The website said that the peas/carrots candy was sold by the pound, too? Or was that just the peanut butter/chicken nugget things?

There is such a thing as peas 'n carrots candy. Our Hallmark used to sell it years ago.

I wonder if Hallmark still sells Peas and Carrots candy. You can buy it online, but I was going to use the Starbursts, etc. was so I didn't have to buy so much, and pay for shipping. Seems like one year I got it from Macy's or something and it came in a cute glass jar.
I may try a different one this year.
Cool site...thanks for sharing
