Anyone have one? I keep hearing how great the George Foreman ones are and was thinking on getting one but don't know where to start. The biggest ones, can you cook two steaks on it at the same time or are they too small? Are they good for grilling veggies? Are the G F better than other brands or should I look for something else? Please help me, I am lost! LOL

We have a small one (think it's GD. would have to look LOL) and I think we have used it once. However, I think some people love them and use them a lot. (Didn't imamama use hers daily? LOL)

I really wanted one and my mom's bf said to borrow his before we buy one. We used it once and then it sat in the pantry for 2 months before we took it back to him. I bought a grill pan that I love and it is alot easier to clean up. My girlfriend has a GF and she says she uses it all the time, but I've never heard her talk about it at all until I asked her if she had one.

I just don't know if I would use it often so I am leary on going and spending a lot of money on it. I also didn't think I would use a crock pot much and I do. I'm sitting on the teeter totter...do I? don't I? lol
Okay, also saw a very large smoker? at Loblaws that was the size of a bbq. Anyone have one of those and are they worth it? It would be like slow cooking meat over coals all day? Does smoked meat taste much different? Guess the important question should be if it does taste different, is that good? LOL

We have a smoker, but we don't use it very often. The meat does taste soooo good though.

I use my GF grill on average once/week. The teflon coating has mostly peeled off, but I just spray it will PAM and it works great.
The grill panels on mine don't come off, so it is kind of a pain to clean afterwards.
Also mine only has a 5 min warmer to get up to cooking heat and it great for one round of cooking food...but if I have more to cook than will fit on the grill, it is too hot by the second round.
Look for removable grills/temp control/etc. and I think you would find you love one once you try it.

Leigh, does the meat taste much different from a bbq?
Darlene, thanks. I found some online but was confused as to what is good/bad and the good ones seem to be more pricey than the meat smoker. But, I want to grill indoors too! ahhh. LOL It does help to know that you use yours more often, maybe I would too. :)
I had one I loved that was a GE brand and the grill plates came off. I used it at least once a week. My mil got me a new George Foreman one Christmas of 2004 and I have only used it 1 time. Maybe it was the difference in the outdoor temp or something. In AK we used it all the time. In CA we never used it. If you do get one, get on with removable grill plates. It makes it so much easier to clean.

I personally think that the meat taste different than meat off the barbeque. We usually don't put any sauces on our meat from the smoker, but we do on the meat from the grill. I don't think the meat from the smoker has as much of a burnt taste as the smoker meat. (and I don't mean we burn the meat on the grill...lol that is the only way I know to explain it)
we have a foreman grill....its ok, Its hard to clean or at least I think so....
this one looks so cool, we saw it on the food net work http://www.target.com/gp/detail.html/ref=br_1_2/601-3280747-2837715?%5Fencoding=UTF8&frombrowse=1&asin=B000AB9LTU
