The very minute some kool aide gets on the kitchen counter, I wipe it away, even tried a clorox cleaning cloth but the stain still sits there and I have to rub and rub. Any easy way to get them off? It's not even a light counter, it's green marbley looking. It does eventually come off, but it has to be wiped a dozen times first. Thanks for any ideas. :)

I always take mine off with 409. I would have thought the clorox would have worked though?? Yikes!

I have used liquid dishwasher soap. The kind you use in automatic dishwashers. I just spread a little on and let it sit for a min or two. Then wipe it clean. Only problem is the counter is clean where the stain was an the rest is dirty. LOLOLOL.

Good luck.

MM! I use Lysol kitchen cleaner with bleach. Works great on the PVC patio furniture too ! ßß!

Maybe you need to apply your cleaner and then let it sit there. Just walk away and let it set. I've used Lysol kitchen cleaner w/ bleach, fantastix w/ bleach, and my favorite - soft scrub (usually w/ bleach) on juice/kool-aid stains as well as berry stains from canning jams. No problem.

I use glass cleaner...Glass Plus. I just spray it on and as Lynda said, let it sit a few minutes. That usually takes care of most stains for me- jello (when the kids make it ) to kool-aid. Good Luck!

but you need to leave it there for a few minutes...

I'd try white vinegar... that usually works for me. I hope you can find something that works FAST and not only after two weeks of washing/scrubbing. LOL Good luck!!

Suprised the bleach didn't work. I keep a bottle of bleach and water for all those kool-aid and tea stains. My counter is very light and it works like a charm.

Get out the sandblaster and buzz off those stains.

Not my area of experise but I know dw uses Vim micro-gel to clean the counter tops and they are always stain free. (we have white countertops --- not recommended)

that happens to me every now and then I usually just pour a little bleach staright from the bottle and then get sponge and it comes right off just make sure you go back and wipe it with regular water to make sure you got all the bleach. You dont need alot "just a dap will do ya" :) Hope that helps

Can you believe that the bleach never once occured to me? LOL
BigDaddy, I used to have white counters too. They looked great when there was nothing on them but Heaven's to Betsy if the kids decided to make jam crackers before I got there. LOL
Thanks for the advice everyone. I will try a few different cleaners. I just couldn't believe how fast a kool aide spill will set into a stain. They are out now and I haven't made any since. I think I have some fantastic I will try and leave it sit next time.
