Hi all. Amy's post (about her teacher mom) and resulting posts with lots of you talking about favorite teachers made me decide to tell you about what I do each year.......I take a picture of my kids with their teacher. It is neat to look back on them over the years, and I am hoping that the kids will appreciate them when they get to the reminicing stage of life! I wish I had a picture of my grade 6 teacher/principal....he was the greatest and has since passed away.
Take one of their school too... although the kids have yearbooks with the school pic in it. When I went to elementary school, we didn't publish yearbooks, and my school was burned down (arson) about 20 years ago. I can still picture it in my mind though!

I let ds keep my camera today, and he had a ball taking pix of all the teachers and his friends. I got really tickled cause he wanted to be sure to get a pic of his last year teacher.

dd's school (jk - gr.5) give all the kids a disposable camera during the last week of school. (I think they have a parent that works for the company and gets them donated) They can get photos of their friends, teachers etc. We have to pay for developing, but it's worth it. They have so much fun. dd has come home with some really cute photos in the past.

What a great idea. That would be great for the older kids who could use the camera. I wonder if the company would give a discount if you bought in bulk. I think I'll look into that for next year.

What neat ideas!!
My dd had a disposable camera for preschool this year. The teachers took the pictures for the kids. I sent it in for developing so we're excited to see what's on it!

WOW that's a great idea!!! I bet they had fun just snapping away. I have been getting into scrapbooking and I was going thru some pictures and found a couple of when I was a 7th grader and brought the camera to school it brought back so many great memories.
I'll have to remember that so when my boys get into "big" school( as we call it :) they can do the same
