It's Bright and beautiful out... :walkin: ..which means the kids can be outside today :yippee: :yippee: :yippee:
I think I'm going to go check on my frid at work (I was defrosting it)...hope I did not make a mess. Then go to the gym maybe or maybe see if my friend can meet for lunch.
Curious...you all exersice....is it true that excersice makes "Aunt flows cramps" feel better? This is the worse I've had in a long time. Sorry if TMI.
But it's taking away my motivation to go to the gym.
Anyway have a good day!

No answer to your question, Vea. I've always exercised and have never really ever had problems with cramping.... so maybe that's why? I guess I've never heard that exercise helps cramping. LOL
Dd #3 has a dental appointment over this way so she came here right after work today. Had breakfast and will be leaving soon. :) Her bf bought a new car so he left his old one here for Dawn/James to borrow until they can get their truck fixed. Dh and I will probably be driving that over to their house tonight. I've got Sarah today... been a while since I've had her so am really looking forward to it. It's suppose to be gorgeous outside today so we'll probable be spending most of our time outside. (probably at the park)
Laundry, walk/exercise... and that's about it for my day. Hope you all have a good one.

Diane, enjoy having time with Sarah today.
Vea, I don't excercise on a regular basis so I don't know. Hope the fridge didn't make too big a mess.
Beautiful day today. Have to run to Bulk Barn at some point and make sure I have enough ingred. for a cake I am supposed to make for a bake sale on Wed. Not much else on today, laundry may get done today if I'm not outside for all of it. Maybe this week dh will put up my swing.
Hope you all have a good day :)

Today is officially my first day of spring break. I am going to try and get the house cleaned up today, and then spend tomorrow and Wednesday getting the baby's room cleaned out. Thursday, I have a doctor's appointment and then my mom and I are going to the spa. I am going to get a massage and a margarita wrap. Friday, I hope to be able to do absolutely nothing, but relax. We will see though. It really depends on if I get off my lazy butt now and get the house clean. LOL!!! Have a great day everyone!

What's a margarita wrap Leigh?
I know this will sound like I cut and pasted a previous post...
Ds has the flu. He woke up throwing up at 1am and of course his baby sister had crawled into his bed and got yacked on too. Nice, huh? lol Brichard did most of the clean up. Leigh, if I hear you have the flu I am going to feel soooo guilty!! He would have been the one you sat next to! So my day of getting out and getting Easter things prepared is now put off until Wednesday.
I've pretty much gotten the house back into order. I have some laundry to do and the lawn needs cutting badly. My flowers all bloomed while I was gone, tulips and hyacinth. They are so pretty. I am going to make sure and plant more hyacinth next year all around my office window so when I open it I can smell them, I just love that scent.
I already emailed ds's teachers but I need to call the school now...
Good morning. The sun is shining and it feels like spring. I'm loving this! Had a great weekend. Went to see my Dad Friday afternoon then hit Winners where I picked up 2 new pairs of shoes. Headed to another city south of us where we met friends for a light dinner and drinks before heading to a club to see a comedy show. For $5 per person we had 2 comedians entertain us, then we had pizza and a dj. It was almost 1 when got home. Sat. I picked up some food for dinner and took ds to his hockey game in the afternoon. We had a friend come for dinner and then after dinner more friends came over for cards. We were in bed by 1 again, but yesterday I sure was tired. While dh took ds to his last hockey game this season, I hit the treadmill and got dinner ready. After dinner we all watched Walk the Line. I'm glad it's a 4-day work week, lol.

Yes I did, but I'd liked to have seen more of their lives together as a couple after they married.

You don't get Good Friday off?
Oh you just reminded me we have off and I took Monday too. :)
I'm glad the weekend is over, but time is moving sooo slowly! The countdown for dh's bday trip is now three more sleeps! I'm anxiously awaiting a return email from a friend to let me know if I can park one of our cars at their house in Tucson over the weekend or not. :nervous: There shouldn't be a prob, but you never know.
We took dd to the chiropractor on Sat. and from what he said and how long he worked on her we will be removing her and dd2 from gymnastics. :( They're bummed but at least dd1 understands our reasoning. It's just too rough on their bodies.
I have a physical this am complete with the gyn stuff. This is the first time I've done the full thing w/o being pregnant and I'm so not looking forward to it. I would have backed out but dh wouldn't let me.
Knitting this afternoon with a group of gals from church and then it's my night out. Laundry today. Ds1 wet the bed last night. ?( Not sure what's up with that. Nothing much else going on except schoolwork for the girls and keeping up with the house.
Vea, I say yes, exercising does help cramps!!! It can shorten your period time as well.
Diane, enjoy the outdoors with Sarah today! :)
Mel, is Bulk Barn like our Costco and Sam's clubs do you know?
Leigh, have you had a sonogram yet? (ultrasound or whatever they're calling them these days lol!)
Bev your weekend sounded packed full! :) Did you enjoy the club?
(((angie))) I hope ds feels better quickly!
Renee, send the rain when you're done, pretty please??? :) Our sky is cloudy and a little drippy, but we need a good, good downpour! I have a feeling we're in for a lot more fires this summer.

MMMM..... didn't he say he didn't want to go back to school? J/K I hope he feels better soon... bless his heart. At least he got sick now though and not while ya'll were on vacation.
So far, I have been fine... Knock on wood!
edited to add: as soon as I can find the book describing the wrap, I will write the description for you.

[QUOTE=PamE]Leigh, have you had a sonogram yet? (ultrasound or whatever they're calling them these days lol!)
[QUOTE]
Yes, I have actually had three. I had one the day after I found out I was pregnant because without me having regular cycles, I couldn't begin to gage how far a long I was. I was only approx. 3.5 weeks pregnant, so it showed absolutely nothing. He wanted me back in 2 weeks, and it showed the sacs, and then in another 2 weeks, we saw the jellybean and the heartbeat. After we saw the heartbeat, he gave me the green light, and my next sonogram will be in May. We will find out the sex of the baby then.
and why aren't you having annual paps?
'Cause I'm a bad girl! :( My gyn is in Tucson and it's a pain to head up there w/kids in tow for an appt. My reg. doc goes to my church and will do the gyn stuff, but... I don't think so.

Now I remember you posting that before, I think! :D That's so cool that you only have a couple more months before you find out the sex. Keep your fingers crossed that the baby's legs aren't!

It's done. I liked this doc! She actually showed me "how" to do a breast exam (which no one has ever bothered to do before) and then gave me a fake boobie to find the lump while she was doing the pap. It's nice to know what I'm looking for and hoping not to find now.

I agree on that one too! I have a history of cervical and ovarian cancer in my family so I make sure not to skip a year. My aunt asked her doc for about 4 years in a row with very strange symptoms and he wouldn't do it, kept putting her off, so she didn't see someone else. Then found out she was end of stage 3. She made it through, but barely. I cannot stress enough how important it is to go every year without fail. Glad you finally went.

Yes ma'ams. :) This was the easiest pap/pelvic I've ever had, so it's not so bad. The fake boob was really neat... there was one lump and it was different from what I thought I was looking for. It was solid and it didn't move.

My doc cracks me up; he'll be standing there mushing and pushing my boobs and making small talk at the same time "so uh, have any travel plans this summer?? been to any VA Tech games??"

First day of Spring Break. Nice weather, dd had a girlfriend over and I got a good bit accomplished around here. That is until... dd comes in from the trampoline with a twisted ankle. She's still hopping around and cries whenever she puts weight on the ankle.
How do you know when it's a twist or sprain and when to get an x-ray??
Our insurance sucks so, if we go to the ER it's an automatic $500 bucks. I could do Patient First but if it's not that serious, we're out that money.
I don't mean to sound like dd isn't worth it, don't get me wrong. We only get a certain number of $ to spend on our health and I'd hate to blow a couple hundred bucks on a twisted ankle, y'know?
It does not seem swollen and I iced it as soon as she came in and she's gone to bed with a heat wrap on it and some Motrin.... any advice??

Tough call! I guess you'd just have to go with your instincts. Do you know any nurses/doctors/pa's personally that you could call at home for advice? A good friend of ours is a nurse and is always willing to give us advice to help avoid unnecessary ER visits.
Spring break?? Good Friday and Monday after Easter off?? Lucky dogs!!! I don't get either!
Good Friday and Monday are 2 fairly big money making days for me so it doesn't pay to be closed.
Started as a beautiful day! The kids didn't even want to play indoors during preschool today. After lunch the wind came up. By after school it was 86 degrees and windy!!
I can't complain though. I'm so glad it's not winter anymore!!
We have about 5 weeks of school left until summer break. I am so ready! As much as I love my preschoolers, I'm ready for a break from lesson planning. If now I can only get enough enrollment so I won't worry all summer about it.
Need to get headed to bed! Have a good night all!
no Friday off for me.....:(

sounds like you did the right thing, but keep more ice on it than heat. think RICE (rest, ice compression, elevation). do you have anything to wrap it in.
believe me, it will swell if it's broken. can you take her to the pedi today and he can write and RX for the xray if necessary. that way you go straight to radiology.

I was kind of thinking the same thing. When dd1 broke her foot she actually went camping with dh that night and just stayed off of it. I took her for x-rays two days later (in the ER) once we were pretty convinced something was wrong. It showed a fracture and then they waited two more days before sending her to her reg. doc. Her reg. doc waited a couple more days before sending her to an orthopedist. Waiting a bit won't really hurt anything, I don't think. Hope she feels better.

 I've just gotten over remembering BRAT (bananas, rice, apples, toast) for dh's tummy now I gotta do RICE for her foot!
Thank you, though!!
She got up this a.m. and says it feels better - we'll see how things are by lunchtime, and if need be, I'll call the pedi and see what they can do. Thanks again, Ann!
