Been up since six, just can't sleep. I think everyone is making up for my lack of it. It's 8:30 and all is quiet. Thought I would take this advantage to get a little 'puter time before dd takes over. I will have to call them if they are not up soon. both kids have gymnastics this am. dd has a compitition tomorrow. We just found out last night, they are sending her in place of another girl who is sick and can't make it.

Good morning!! I am up and around too. dh has already left for work and the boys are still sleeping. It would be totally quiet except for our obnoxious lab who is out in his pen barking!!!
It is graduation day here so we will be making the rounds of graduation parties this afternoon. Have a lady bringing her dog out to breed w/ours at 9. Guess I better go get my vacuuming and scrubbing done. Have a great day everyone!!!
Well it looks like several of us were up early. I just didn't get on the :computer: . I was up at 4:00 because it was too hot (had to turn on the heat last night). Then found ds up in his room (couldn't sleep - bad case of gas - must have been the mexican food for dinner). I went back an lay down then dh got up at 5:00 to go fishing. Been up since. Have I been productive? :biglaugh: I drank coffee and read. Hey I deserved a little quite down time. Big list of things that need to get done today and a beautiful day to do them.

Well I slept in today. Still need to get my hair washed and stuff but dd HAD to have her shower first and we couldn't get the shower to work. :(
Need to clean house this morning since we're expecting company Monday. We're supposed to meet dh's dad and step mom for supper tonight at Pizza Hut. Then I think they will come back here Monday for dinner (lunch). They're going to spend tonite and All Day tomorrow with the step mom's daughter. (We don't claim the step mom's 2 kids as part of the family--we barely claim her- Long story!) Then spend 4 or 5 hours with us on Monday--you can see how we rate can't you?
Dh's youngest brother and his family will come out Monday too. That will be fun!! :)
Hope everybody has a happy and safe Memorial Day or weekend which ever the case may be. :) :) :)

Today was the first half way decent day we've had in 8 days... and we STILL had a little bit of rain, just not as much as we have had. If I was a duck I'd be in my glory... but this is getting ridiculous!!! They said that tomorrow might be a better day... so I've got my fingers crossed. I've almost forgotten what the sun looks like. :)
Even with it being cold and cloudy, I FINALLY got about half of my garden/flowers planted. Went out this morning and purchased even MORE... I've go SO much planting to do. LOL My back is killing me from all the bending. Ugh!!! It will all be worth it when I'm all done, and it will look GREAT. (at least it had better!!!)
My middle dd was in a car accident last night. She was okay... shaken up quite a bit but... okay. Her car doesn't look too good but at least it can be fixed. A car (about six in front of her) slid on the wet pavement slid out of control. She said her car was the better of most of them. She was lucky because there was a big semi behind her, and if he hadn't been able to stop as fast as he did... she really would have had been in a mess. I'm just grateful that she was okay. :)
Anyway... I hope everybody enjoyed the first day of their long weekend. I sure do wish we could have three day's off every weekend... that would really be nice. LOL Take care you all... :)

I'm finally getting a chance to check in. I spent most of the day with my mom and sis. We had a lot of fun shopping and we all spent too much money. We are not good influences on each other when out shopping! LOL! Came home and then we all met my mom, step dad and little bro for supper. Played outside with dks and now we're all just hanging out. I tried to tuck in youngest ds in but he had a case of the sillies :sillyface so we'll try again in a little bit. I think it's supposed to be nice tomorrow so we plan to head to the lake. :)
Diane - SO glad your dd is okay!!!! It's about time we got a peek of the sun, huh?
Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend!
Diane...I am so glad that your dd is ok!!! How scary!!!
We went to the beach today for about 2 hours..the seaweed was really bad and it was sort of chilly cause the wind was really blowing. The waves were great and the kids had fun.

She said that at first she was afraid to call us to let us know about the accident because she thought we'd be mad at her for wrecking the car. Instead all I kept asking her was if she was okay. I didn't care about the car at all. She kept telling me over and over again that she was fine, but of course I didn't believe her until she came home and I could see her for myself. LOL I worry SO much about my kids out there driving on these crazy roads... it is SO not fun. (you will have your day too... ) LOL This summer my "baby" will be taking Drivers Ed and she'll be getting her permit... Ugh!!! They're all growing up WAY too fast. LOL I don't care how old they get... you still worry about them.... and they just can't/don't understand WHY. :) Thanks... :)

How nerve wrecking Diane! Glad to hear your dd is ok. My dk's are always saying to me ' Stop worrying, I'm not a baby.' they don't understand that no matter how old they are they will always be 'my babies'. and I only worry because I love them so much.
