I can't believe my baby is two today!! I'm excited, but on the other hand I don't want him to grow up so fast and I just can't believe it's been two years since I had him!! I know it'll be like this forever with my dks where I look back wondering where the time has gone, so I guess I should just get used to it now rather than :bawling: about it all the time...if only it were that easy. LOL!!

We're off to a bday party for our nephew today, so we'll have a party here next wknd. Oldest ds and I are off to the store to get doughnuts, bagels or muffins this morning. We haven't or should I say he hasn't ;) decided which yet! :)

:bday: Happy Birthday to my baby! :bday:

Happy birthday to the little guy. They do grow up fast. Before you know it he'll be 20 like mine.

Happy birthday to your little guy. Two is such a great age. They have the independance to explore and learn so many different things. If only ds could be two again.
I wouldn't want dd to be two again, she was a real whiner at that age.

:bday:

Hope it was a special day!!!

There was a time I thought I'd never see the end of diapers. Now, I can't remember the last time I changed one!! (Can't say that I miss it though! LOL)

Kids do grow fast-- just be sure to take lots of pics and videos of them!

Thanks gals! We did have a good day - didn't get home until 9 last night, but the day went by so fast. The dks got to go swimming and they loved that! :) Our birthday boy did have a little meltdown at the party we went to, but he missed his nap - snuck in a quick one & it just wasn't enough.

I love the two's, but this little guy is much more of a handful than our first one. Anyone else have a completely easy first child and a monkey for the second?

Oh yeah! Hard to believe that dh and I actually created both boys, sometimes! My oldest is very emotional, yet easy going. My youngest is very loving, clingy, and particular!!! As they get older they even look less alike ...to me, at least. Your ds and I share a birthday...almost! I've had my bday on Memorial Day LOTS of times! Glad the day was wonderful!

I have several friends who've said if they'd had the 2nd one first, there wouldn't have been a 2nd.

I have said the same thing! I love him dearly, but he's a busy and determined one! I guess those could be looked at as good qualities....when he's older! :newwink:

Ours were just the opposite on challenges...
My oldest ds (just turned 2 may 20th) is very determined too. Good thing I didn't base my want of more children on him... We just hit the "terrific twos" lol baby cereal all over the floor this after noon (entire box of baby oatmeal)lol. Our youngest is lovable and extremely easy going. Always smiling...

Here is my theory on the subject.
If your first one is a wild child, then God rewards you with a "good" child if you are brave enough to try again.

If your first child is the easy one, God gives you the wild child to wipe that smug look off your face!!!! LOL

 ROFLMBO!!!!!!!!!!!! LOVE your theory! :D

...and if you've survived "easy" child 1 and "colic, no-sleep" child 2 and are still finding things to smile about (and He is in a joking mood), He sends child 3 with the intensity and perfectionism that will drive you to be questioning the continuation of the species. (Mostly joking--but REALLY!!!)

 I totally believe it, but the funny thing is I could still see us having another!

I do think it would take a lot of convincing to ever get dh to agree to a third at this point, but I think if there's more space in age btwn #2 and #3 we could do it! :newwink: LOL!

How funny! But, you may be right.

I was really a wreck emotionally (divorce, college, making my mark) with my first one. Unfortunately much of that time is a blur. The 2nd one was such a joy. He was without a doubt the best baby. I went into labor at 24 weeks, got it stopped, then had him at 36 weeks after worrying the whole time. I took the rest of the school year off and enjoyed that time so much.
