:tearhair: Spent all day yesterday mowing the lawn, scooping poop, cleaning bathrooms, cleaning house and packing for our trip to NY tomorrow. Since NY has both hot and cold weather still, it has been a bear to pack for. I have a huge ski bag duffle that is filled to the gills with just ds and my stuff. I love soft shell luggage because I can just keep stuffing and stuffing! LOL

The good news is, since dh left I have lost the 12 lbs I wanted to lose!!! I picked up such bad habits while breastfeeding ds. I could eat anything and never gain an ounce. Once he was weaned, I still had those habits. UGH! It also didn't help that dh likes big dinners and even bigger desserts. LOL I have retrained myself to eat when Im hungry. That and I keep very little food for myself in the fridge! LOL

Hows everyone doing this am?

I love starting the week out on a Tuesday, only four day's of work this week... :yippee:

Amy/CO... congratulations on loosing all that weight. I wish I could loose 12 pounds. LOL I haven't been out walking the way I should be but I walked all three day's this long weekend so... it's a beginning. :) I usually loose pretty fast so, hopefully by the middle of July I'll have lost what I need to loose. :)

I've only got half of my kids coming back today as a lot of my parents decided to extend their holiday by even one more day. LOL Now, if they had ALL decided the same thing... :) I certainly wouldn't have turned down another day off. :)

Anyway, I hope you all are having a nice Tuesday. I'm actually almost glad to get back into my regular/normal routine. My youngest dd was anxious to get back to school so she could be with all of her friends. She hasn't seen her bf in three day's... (he was grounded) so I'm sure that he was the REAL reason why she wanted to go back to school so quickly. LOL Ugh... I'm sure glad I'm not that age anymore having to go through all of that crap. LOL :)

Have a good day!!!

Diane...

Happy Tuesday! Not much on our agenda today. I'm working on laundry this morning and will probably head to the park later with dks. Hope everyone has a great day!! :)

Amy - Congrats on the weight loss! :yippee: Doesn't it feel great? Last fall I lost my extra baby weight from ds2 and it felt great to be back where I once was!!! :) Have fun on your trip!!!

Diane - LOL about your dd and wanting to get back to school to see her bf! I so remember those days! :)

It's rainy and dreary here today. Ds #1 is supposed to have a ball game tonite, but I suppose that will depend on how much precipitation we actually get.

Dh had to decide whether to take his 4 wheeel drive pickup in the shop (the radiator hose is leaking) or go take the our 'auto guy' about trading it in for a car. We filled up the suburban over the weekend ($60! OUCH!!) He is looking still at an insurance job and if that doesn't pan out then he's looking at going back to school. Either one will involve a lot of driving so he figures he needs something more economical.

Does anyone know if they make a fuel efficient car that will comfortably seat a family of 7 and still have storage space for groceries, shopping, etc?

Wow Amy!! 12 lbs.-- I need to lose about 5 times that much but just cannot get motivated!!! I know my problem though--I refuse to buy package cookies and snacks --make things from scratch and ultimately end up eating it too! :(

Hope you all have a good day!!

It's still dreary and rainy here and no it's a bit cool.
I hope ds's t-ball isn't rained out, it was last week.

I'm working on laundry today and hopefully getting rid of a mouse. He seems to like the kitchen drawers where I keep the towels and utensils so I really hope the trap works.

Congrats on losing the 12 pounds Amy.

Linda, $60! You're right, OUCH. It takes a lot to fill the van too but not quite that bad. I would love to get a car but I would hate to lose the room and seating I have now.

Plus the cadets graduate tomorrow so they are having a 2 hr show tomorrow my little one cant wait. Pretty lazy day otherwise lots of laundry to do,the weather started out nice but then has turned really crappy no rain yet but theclouds look like it's going to dump any min. I hope we dont have storms like last night. Up here we were lucky but out east they had really bad weather tornados and hail looked like it had snowed that much hail thank g-d no one was killed.

went to one of those discount supermarkets today...I don't know if you've heard of ALDI's but my Niece told me to try it...well I did, and I hated it....forget bagging your own grocieries, that didn't bother me, but the store was so crowed, and I couldn't find anything that I ususally buy so I picked up some school snacks for ds, but it didn't impress me really....My niece said that she likes it cuz they have all the things she buys and the regular supermarket, but I can't figure out what she feeds her kids....LOL.......then dd and I went to lunch, she isn't feeling that great, caught a small chest cold over the weekend, so she sounds like a frog :frog: ds has another loose tooth that is so loose it bleeds now and again, so I hate to buy him some chewing gum, (makes him feel like he can loosen it more) ....

Dh is staying in the city tonight to help his brother with moving tommorrow, I miss him, what a baby :bigcry: its just over night I know, but I am exhuasted, guess the thyroid thing has something to do with that...

the weekend was cruddy, it was windy and rainy, I didn't really want to be there, but went for the kids sake, I didn't feel like drinking with the girls so that was an issue with the girls....LOL... I didn't give into the peer pressure either......8) I know I am cool.....
.....

dh told me last night he was bored there this time too...and he was rattled and a little miffed that we seem to be the only parents who are diciplining our kids, there are usually 7 kids running around in our family circle, and I only hear Guy and myself yelling and saying NO.... 8o yes I yell.... Guy said he had a few words with our great niece, and she ran and told her mother, so he ended up having words with his sister and niece, about it...said it really was stupid and that they needed to get a grip....felt bad afterwords sorta, but told me the story and I agreed with him....people are to relaxed sometimes, and when your kids are doing wrong, its still wrong even if its a three day weekend.... right? well anyway....I didn't have a awful time, just would have rather been home.....I guess I'll learn for next time.....

sorry to go on and on...I am alone after all.....

hey Amy, great job on the 12 pounds.....I did the same thing with the nursing, the weight loss was amazing, until I weaned them, the the haits were the pits....

I have so much to do, I don't know where to start. First I made 2 lists this morning: one for school, one for home. I figure the only way to get it done is to commit in writing and then check it off. I got the things done at school, but still need to finish report cards. The home list got shot to heck. We got out at noon today and I was going to clean my bathroom and my closet. Had a sinus headache when I got home so I took some meds and lay down. An hour later my sister calls to see if I can go to the hospital to get Dad who'd had outpatient surgery. She had a job interview to get to. I go, but the doctor didn't release him til 3:30. By the time I get back home it's time to start dinner. I had to get my :computer: fix. I may still get to the bathroom and may clean the bedroom instead of the closet (which is a total nightmare) and save it for Thurs. Tomorrow I have staff meetings and must pack up my classroom, so nothing will get done at home tomorrow. I may even work at school til time to go to church. I think I can get it all done and not have to go back that way.
But I still need to finish checking everything here. so I better quit rambling about what I need to do and get busy.

Amy I am so jealous about the 12 pounds! I've got 20 (yikes) that I still need to lose from baby #3. I just got back from a hair cut, hadn't had it cut in five months, I was really looking like a sheepdog. My doctor gave me some arch supports last week and they really seem to be helping. :) Dh dropped my car off at the mechanic, think it's going to be about $750. Ouch. So I'll be without a car until Saturday, guess we won't be going anywhere.
Renee I don't like those big stores either. You have to really know your prices or you can end up paying more, and I can't find what I'm looking for in those huge stores.
