No Monday thread? I have nothing exciting to say........cleaning people come today :yippee: . Need to decide where I want to work next. No more geriatrics for awhile. Have a couple of pediatric clinics to check on. Also need to get some things set up for the boys for this summer.

Wow, no one here yet today???
dh's family get together yesterday was amazing. They called for rain but really only got a few drop here and there. the kids had a blast too.
but the highlight of my day was a phone call from a friend I haven't talked to in a while. She was going to Niagra Falls today with her sister, but now her sister can't go (family issues). They have Tickets to see 'Live with Regis and Kelly" for tomorrow. She asked me to go and use the extra ticket. Mil is going to stay here and help out with the little ones and I leave at 10:00. Going to take in Casino Rama tonight, show tomorrow, then visit the Falls and make our way back home. don't know why she thought of me, but excited she did. Gotta finish packing.... what to wear..what to wear...what to wear.... :yippee:

Looks like another beautiful day today. I'm busy working on my laundry. I've got Sarah today and would much rather spend the time she's here playing, although she does enjoy helping me throw all the clothes in the washing machine/dryer... even folding them, which is hilarious. :biglaugh:

Going to the park, maybe making some cookies if we have enough time. We've got to go back over to dd/SIL's tonight... we went there to help them with their bathroom yesterday just to find that they hadn't done or gotten any of what they needed to do/get, so we couldn't really do anything. SIL sat and ate 3 big bowls of coco puff's, didn't look like he was planning on going to do anything any time too soon. We waited a while, but finally decided to leave when he started to read the Sunday paper. :rolleyes: We had a lot of things we needed to get done around our own house too and didn't have the time to sit/wait. Ugh..... Anyway... hopefully they'll be more prepared tonight.

I've got to go pick up a 19 inch tv from my friend this morning. They're trying to get rid of it and Dawn's been looking for one for their bedroom, so they're giving it to her. I'm hoping that between her/I... we'll be able to get it in the car. LOL I'm going to leave it in there though until James comes to pick Sarah up, because I'm not going to throw my back out trying to do it myself. :) She'll be happy to get it though.

Going to call the hair dresser soon and go over. Not much else going on today. Ds1 had me cracking up at 1 am. I went to lie down with ds3 and zonked along with him. Wake up on the plastic part of his bed, it's a car bed with a crib mattress on it, ugh, and go in the living room. Find both older boys zonked out on the sofa and dh on the other one. Wake them up to go to bed. Ds2 is groggy so needs some direction/help. I turn my head as I'm going out of the room to make sure dh is helping ds1 and see ds1 dialing the phone!! It's 1 am, not sure who he thinks he's calling but his eyes were still closed. rofl I rush over to stop him and he starts telling me a phone number, dh tells him what time it is and ds is baffled why he can't call his buddy. I laughed so hard. Too cute. He's always been funny in his sleep, not sleepwalking kind of stuff but this and when he was younger he would sing french songs he learned in school in his sleep. :tinysmile
Dreary and cool here, not sure if anything outdoors will get done.

VERY Dissapointed,

Just called friend about the tickets she has to see "Regis and Kelly" tomorrow. From what I saw on tv this morning... tomorrows show is being taped today.... but df tickets say tomorrow. She called the # on the tickets and discovered the tickets are fake. So no show :bawling: It was df's sister that got the tickets, have to figure out what happened there.
On the lighter side..... since our room is booked anyway... non refundable, (and res. confirmed) we are going to Niagra anyway. Always find another way to entertain ourselves. Leaving at 11:30... better get a move on.

Nothing new and exciting here today. We did get most of the laundry and cleaning done yesterday after church, so at least that's not looming large in my mind. :)

Knitting this afternoon with the ladies from church and then my night out tonight. I need to check the library and see what books are over-due. 8o (there's always some, lol)

I normally only get a lunch break. Today our patient right before lunch ended up being a 2 hour appt and it went straight through lunch. We got done, I cleaned the room and our 12:00 patient was in the chair at 12:10 (we ended up being behind until our 3:00 patient when we finally caught up. It was a good day though. I was even training someone today. I can't go to bed yet because my blanket isn't dry. :bawling: it should be dry soon. We only have 1 quilt that fits and for some reason I decided to wash all the bedding today. :rolleyes:

Super busy weekend here. Starting with a visit at my sister's and then groceries Friday night, followed by getting the stuffed peppers prepared for Saturday.

Saturday our contractor came and worked for 5 hours on our deck while I did gardening. DH picked up new wood for a fence we are replacing at the end of our yard. We work right through until 5:00. I made soup and then our company came for dinner and another couple came for cards after.

Sunday the weather was cold, damp and windy. We visited with my cousin/Godmother in another city and then shopped at Ikea. After a catnap and a quick dinner we headed out of town again, to play cards with our friends from dh's dart team.

Today DH and I worked on the fence all day and I cut the grass. DH is napping and I need to figure out what to make for dinner.

DS left Sat. at 5 for a friend's and just got home a couple of hours ago.

Good thing we had a long weekend...I'm bushed!!!

yup, I can tell it's monday! my alarm didn't go off and they had to call from the store at 5:10 to see what was wrong. dh was up but he said 'well, i didn't know what time you were going to work' uh, hello?? what time do I always go to work?? so I jump out of bed, brush my teeth, slap a little war paint on and go to work. got there within 10 minutes of the call. the truly worst part was that I didn't shower yesterday..ugh. the funny part was all my co-workers were thrilled cause they are always late and i never am and now 'i am one of the team'! LOL

Ann, glad you're now one of the team. We're supposed to be at school 15 minutes before kids are allowed in. At the beginning of the year, I'm always at work way early, but by the end of the year, if I'm in the city limits by a quarter of I consider myself on time. LOL

Reading Awards and picnic today. Then we spent the whole afternoon outside. We had various water related activities set up all over campus that we all rotated through by grade levels. I managed to get sunburned. Put sunscreen on the kids, but forget to put any on me. Talk about smelling ripe by the time I got home today. It was a fun day for the kids, but the adults were wiped out completely.

Just finished dinner and am going to settle in to watch Oprah's special tonight.

First official day of summer vacation and what a day it was! I swear every kid must have been up way past bedtime and a couple must have stayed up all night. Most all of them were bears. One little girl (9 yr. old) had an awful day. By the time mom showed up (1/2 hr. late and 2 pages of behavior incidents) the little girl was in tears and totally drained. When she saw that I had the behavior report she said that her mom would put her in foster care if I told her. I told her first of all that if she really believed her mom would do that, she should have decided to behave a lot earlier, secondly, her mom needed to know how she was behaving. I don't think her mom would really do that--it's just an idle threat.

It was HOT today. Probably 90. Pool doesn't open until Friday so the kids are ancy (is that how it's spelled?).

I was supposed to attend an meeting on Meth for inservice, but since my last parent was a 1/2 hr. late I didn't make it.

Can't wait until next weekend--3 day weekend. I need one!
