Found out a few days ago I'm having a girl. Dd is absolutely thrilled!
I had forgotten how cute baby girl clothes are. lol I've been having a blast buying her stuff.
My twin sister is having a girl too, due 10 weeks before mine, so she will have another little girl to play with when they're older.

I totally forgot to ask...
Have you picked out any names yet?
Does your sister live close to you? :) I'll bet you're both excited to be having girls. :)

Her name will be Ava Elizabeth.
My sister lives about 15 mins away. Sometimes that's a good thing....and sometimes not. :newwink:

Awww... I love the name. :)
Some day you're dn and dd will probably be best friends. :) :) It was hard when I had dd #3 because all my sisters had been done having kids a long time before that. My other sister who lives in Washington has never lived close enough for our kids to really get to know each other, so dd was pretty much left alone at family gatherings. Either that or she was always the "baby" every time they played house, and she hated that because she wanted to be the mommy. LOL It's nice to have neices and nephews close in age to your own... :)

That's what I miss most for my dd. By the time I came along, my siblings were in their late teens, so they have kids just a little younger than me.
On dh's side, by the time he came to his senses to marry me  he was 32 and his brothers all had kids ages 6-13 so when dd came along 4 years later... not anyone close to her in age.

Having relatives nearby can be wonderful, but it can also be tough at times.
My sister has drastically different parenting skills than I do. Problems arise when she tries to impose those skills onto my kids, knowing how much I am against them. She flat out refuses to refrain from doing this.
I'm hoping in time, she will stop.
