Uh... yell, bite the heads off the people I live with, basically make them miserable.
Uh.... eat.
Or shop.

More recently, I've found myself confronting the "stresser" head on - freaks them out, they totally don't expect it from me but it makes my life easier.

Hang in there! Are you stressed over finding another job or going back to your current one?

Depends on the stress level, but these come to mind as my usuals: Eat, shop, clean, cry, take a bath, read, listen to music/dance, go for a walk, talk to friends!!

I feel it's important to take some time out for myself. There is only so much one person can do... and when you've reached your limit it's time to STOP. Stop worrying about what everyone else thinks of you or what they want/expect from you, and start thinking about and taking care of yourself, because when/if you're not happy... nobody is happy. :)

Hang in there Renee... this soon will pass and you'll look back and realize that everything that has happened to you is a blessing instead of something bad. (((HUGS))) Something much better will come along and you'll like it a lot more and be a lot happier.

ITA! I know it's difficult when you are in the moment and there doesn't seem to be an end in sight and you have no clue what the road ahead holds, but try to hang in there and hold onto the faith that this is happening for a reason and this too shall pass. {{{Renee}}}

That pretty much covers it for me too. I love to shop, to de stress or if I'm happy. I realize there is a problem here when I dream of really great malls that I've never seen and wake up thinking 'omg, I should be an architect and make a ton building these fabulous malls'. :rolleyes: Hang in there Renee, I know it's tough right now? When are you going for your next pedi/mani? Don't you go on a reg. basis? Maybe you should book in a massage or facial this time.
(((hugs)))

Eating always works good. :) (Seriously I've heard that milk chocolate improves your mood.)

The one thing that has helped me in stressful times more than anything is praying. Twice in church our priest made a point to say that the side door by the tabernacle is always unlocked and encouraged us to stop in and 'just say hi'. He also said that bringing your troubles to Jesus in the tabernacle is very powerful. (Okay not trying to push any religious beliefs--just making a reference point here).
So sometimes in the mornings when I have to go in really early, I will take a few extra minutes and stop in at church. Once I get over the initial 'fear' that someone will see me and question why I'm there (like I'd be stealing something), it is a very peaceful, calming feeling. I can pray anywhere but I can focus so much more in a quiet church. I usually just give all my troubles and concerns over to him. There have been a few times late at night when I feel overwhelmed that I seem to hear a voice in my head urging me to go to church to pray. I haven't yet acted on it--not brave enough to go. I guess I'm worried that dh will think it's wierd. (He doesn't come from as religious a background as I do and often pokes fun at my mom for her devotion to the church.)

Hope things look up for you!

Sorry no real advice here...but when I'm totally stressing and can't stop thinking I play my hand held yatzee for a while....or do something that take concentration.......because then I can't stress. I also am a big cleaner when stressed.....with load music of course.

Hang in there!

I agree about confront the stressor head on. I usually whine, vent and be angry/stew by myself and then confront the stresser, but that works for me. Good luck and hugs.

I'm so glad you are better today Renee.

ITA w/Linda in how I deal with stress. I almost feel like sometimes I'm given the stressor to make me pray/spend time with God.
