bubble bath and girls?

just wondering what the mildest bubble bath is for girls? dd loves baths and wants them often, we bought some scooby doo bubble bath yesterday and it says its mild.....I wouldn't want her to get an irritated you know what.....just asking cuz, I remember not liking bubbles in the bath when I was little....

My pediatrician said that it isn't really good for little girls to take bubble baths because it does tend to irritate their private area.

I don't know of any bubble bath that wouldn't be an irritant but maybe a little Baby Shampoo in the tub wouldn't be too harsh and she would still have some bubbles.

I have heard the same about no bubble baths for little girls. My niece had lots of urinary tract infections and her ped said no bubbles. Doesn't seem very fair does it? :( What about bath paints or colored/scented body mousse for something fun??

What a shame. I didn't know that. I have boys. Ds loves to get in the Jaquzzi and fill it with bubbles. I do too, but then you have to clean the darn thing. I'd rather take a shower. :lol:

I have a little boy, also, so I am not an expert...but I had heard no bubble baths for girls either. If you are going to let her have a bubble bath, then I would suggest baby shampoo, like another poster did. Also, maybe a quick rinse in the shower after may help.

My dd often gets irritated when she takes bubble baths. I have been getting those "tub tints." The kids love them and they are learning that you can mix two colors together to make another color.

try using a soap free baby bath product. The type you use on infants in the baby bath. They produce loads of bubbles and are gentle on the skin.
