MM! My grandmother is comming to visit here for the first time. As you can imagine, I'm going crazy around here trying to get all these remodels done. I can't quite get a good garden idea for the space in front of the new chicken coop. It gets full sun from noon till early evening. I plan to put window boxes on the walls of the coop, two sets on either side of the window. I need ideas for the bed just below it. I think I need to connect the boxes to the beds with taller plants and flowers. Anyone have any ideas ? ßß!

When is your grandmother coming to visit? Hopefully you'll get everything done and ready. Sorry I don't have any ideas for you! Good luck! :)
OK..I am confused..why is this post call "bath towels"??? LOL
Portulaca, bouganvellia, vincas, lantana, geraniums, marigolds are all great sun loving flowers.

I am also confused. I was expecting to read about how to keep my bath towels fluffy ----a chicken coop was the last thing I expected.
If we are talking about plants, I do not have a green thumb but I do know that mexican heather grows great in Florida! I am in Tallahassee and I can't kill it. I don't water it, my husband tends to mow it over every other week and it continues to flourish!! We have it lining our driveway and around some larger trees and it always looks beautiful! Everyone in the neighborhood always compliments us on how well our yard looks--ha ha the jokes on them!
Hope this helps!

MM! Karla my Grandmother will be visiting here at the end of July providing all goes well with her health. We are really excited. Although she has lived in the US since she was a teen, she still maintains the old ways from her village in Italy. I'm hoping she can help me with my veggie garden a bit. She'll be traveling with my favorite Aunt, this will be her first time here also since the remodel.
We're still working on the house. Things seem to be progressing, naturally not fast enough for me.lol The kitchen. bath and new flooring .......ugh !!! You have to wait for one thing to be done to complete the other. The plumber still hasn't finished the new bathroom, which is holding up the kitchen and flooring......
We bought the paint to repaint the interior and exterior of the house. But you can't paint inside until the floor is done etc.... The painters will be here tomorrow to paint the exterior. Oh and now HH (Goddess knows I love this man but he is making me crazy right now , as if we didn't have enough confusion right now) has decides to remove 2 of the Almond trees on the property. :-0
I just keep reminding myself this will all be done by the time my family gets here. Breath, just breath.....LoL
I bought egyptian cotton towels from JC Penny and am working on crocheting flower motifs in #10 cotton thread to add later. Saw sometjhing simular in The Garden Shed magazing for $54 a bath towel. Yikes !

Sounds like you have lots going on right now, but it will all be so worth it - if you can survive it! :newwink: Your grandmother's visit sounds like it will be a special one for you!!! How exciting! Hang in there and keep us posted!! :)
I know you want things to be nice for your GM's visit, but I bet she will enjoy just being with you. I hope everything comes together the way you want it to, but if it doesn't, take a breath and enjoy her visit.
