I have 3 nieces and wanted to get them magazine subscriptions for Christmas this year. They are 7, 12 and 14. My dd is 12 and LOVES American Girl magazine. What others are out there that are good that your kids just love? TIA

I think Seventeen is totally inappropriate for 12 year old girls..too much talk about sex and dating imho!!!

dd is almost 9 and loves the American girl magazine.

I agree that 17 is too grown up for a 12 year old.

both my kids love the Nintento power magazine that ds gets (he is 10)

My kids are boys...so this probably won't help you...but they LOVE Sports Illustrated for Kids. My other suggestions:

Disney Adventures

Highlights

Nickelodeon Magazine

Young Miss (Is that still around??)

I remember liking Owl magazine as a kid but can't remember what age I was. The boys had a movie magazine a while back and really liked it, just reviews on different movies and interviews on movies like Harry Potter and Yours Mine and Ours. Sorry, cannot think of the name right now.

My dd loves her AG magazine and she also loves National Geographic Kids mag.
I think there is one called Discovery for girls...? I'm not positive of the content but maybe for the 12 yr. old, it'd be okay.

Seventeen - no way!! You might as well give them Cosmo! LOL

Thanks for the ideas ladies. I have to age Seventeen is WAY too old for them, even the 14 yr old. She's a little slow to mature.
