Diane, have you heard from your mom how the lunch went?

Good rainy morning ya'll. I guess the rain we had pelting down on us on Monday brought some water into the room in the basement where my treadmill is. Once it dries we'll have to figure out where it's coming in from :rolleyes: . More rain today, but unless it's heavy rain, we should be o.k.

Got more gardening/yard work done yesterday. DH got some sod from a sod farm and we almost have all grass again where for 8 months we've only had dirt.

Taking my nephew's partner to her OB appt. this morning...hopefully she has the baby before her next one (she's due Friday).

DS has guitar tonight and I have volleyball.

Good morning all! It's been a rough morning and it's only 9:30. Two of my dn's are going to see my wrath today if they don't stop picking on everyone else around here. I already threatened to drive them to their homes and leave them there alone. I swear I'll do it too!

Brichard took the jet to Charlotte this morning. That sounds so cool! He had to get up really early but it was easy for him because he was really excited about it.

I've got to get breakfast ready and thinking about taking ds to the doctor, his asthma is really kicking up.

I have a sore throat and feel kinda achey, summer colds are the worst.
kids are going to a ball game and then swimming with the Y.

Looks like another nice/sunny... humid day today. We left the air conditioner on last night to sleep because it was still so humid. :( We got about 1-1/2 hours worth of hard rain yesterday. It helped but it wasn't nearly enough.

Woke up to the cutest little dog sitting on our front step. :doggie: I know I was somewhere within the past few day's where I saw a LOST poster with that dogs face on it. 8o I couldn't remember what it said his name was... I didn't really pay that much attention to the details because I didn't think I'd be meeting him face to face. I went to throw some old bread out for the birds and he just gobbled it up, so I went back in the house and got a bowl of cat food and some water and he gobbled all of that up too. 8o Poor thing really must have been hungry to eat cat food. LOL Anyway... after his tummy was full he went on his way. I'm going to look around at some of the places I've been to see if I can get a phone # to call so I can at least tell them where he's been, that he's eaten... and is okay.

Laundry today... some dusting/vacuuming and that’s about it for my day. Picking my mom up after dh gets home from work. :) Eating at Taco Bell and then off to Target to do some shopping, and that’s about it. Dd #3 and her fiancee will probably be coming over for a short visit after that because he's got a softball game over this way.

When we lived at our old house our basement would leak each/every time we had a big rain. I hated going down there when everything was all wet and having to clean it up. :rolleyes: What a mess!!! Hope you find where it's coming from.

It sounds like they all had a great time... :) She was so nervous :nervous: just before they got there... LOL was just pacing the floor looking out the window waiting for them to come. LOL She was so excited when I called her, she had so much to tell me. They sat and looked through all of my mom's old photo albums and laughed/talked about old times. They caught up on a lot of things they've missed out on since they last saw each other. I'm sure they hardly made a dent LOL but I'm sure at least now they'll be able to call/talk with each other and hopefully there will be a lot more visits. Neither one of them are all that young anymore :( and it was good for them to make amends before something happened to one of them. :)

Good morning. Going to vacuum today and get the rest of the laundry done. Dh and I were going through a bunch of junk and laundry in our room last night. Got to finally go through old purses and toss a few. I always leave a pile of papers when I switch to a new one and think that I will deal with it later in the day, and I don't until months later. Glad it's done. Got the older boys a pair of heely's yesterday and they are thrilled. Think they were expecting to be great on them the first day and not expecting to have to practice but they are getting the hang of them. Ds2 cannot stop grinning. lol Think we are calling for rain and storms today so maybe I will go and put something in the crock pot for dinner. Hope you all have a good day :)

Angie, so glad Brichard is happy and excited with his new job. :) Hope ds's asthma improves. Nothing worse than seeing your kid have a hard time breathing. Ds3 has a nasty cold and his is worked up a bit but thankfully, nothing like last year.

Another hot and busy day. I work with 4 different doctors today. It was kind of crazy, but the day went by so fast. Getting ready to make dinner and I actually know what I am making- taco salad. It's too hot to cook a bit meal.

Dh and boys had bball camp again this morning. Oldest ds was gonna go home with a friend, but somehow we ended up with the friend coming here again....???? The mom brought coupons for mini golf and dh ended up taking them instead of her. ?(

Not much else planned for today. Should clean, but think I'll "lifeguard" out back instead. :D

Just got an e-mail from my cousin letting me know that her dh had just passed away. He was an alcoholic and had evidently been having issues for quite some time because of it. (Liver and kidney failure) He had just turned 52. (my age) What a waste... :(

I really didn't know him all that well... he was never around (even for his family) all that much. He had his drinking buddies he'd hang around with and wasn't too interested in anything else. :) I don't want to sound mean or uncaring... I feel for my cousin, I know she's sad/upset but it's got to be quite a relief for her not having to deal with him and all of his issues any more.... :(

Well, I went to the doctor today. They didn't have the results of my gestational diabetes test yet, but I had sugar in my urine, and I have a UTI, so I am on antibiotics. The baby is doing great. He is measuring right on target and his heartbeat was between 140 and 150. I go back in 3 weeks. They said when they got the results of the gestational diabetes test, they would call only if I didn't pass, so if I didn't hear anything, then I was okay.

Good for you Leigh! I hated the secondary glucose test, I had to take it with my last pregnancy. Sorry about the UTI, did you even know you had it?

Nope, I haven't had any symptoms, but she said you usually have to wait 60 seconds, and this popped up right away, so I guess it was pretty bad.

Angie, Brichard sounds like such a jet-setter now!! :lol: Pardon the pun!

Worked at Hallmark a full day today and I'm whooped! Got dd from mom's, took her to golf, came home made sandwiches for her and dh. Dh came home, got the food went to the golf course and they played 9 holes after her girl's golf class.
I went for a walk then came home and have been online poking around ever since.

Dd's got quite the social calendar the next two days so I need to get the upstairs picked up and clean off the dining room table. Ick.

Thanks again guy's... I really didn't know him that well and wasn't close to him. I feel more for my cousin/her children. It was a weird relationship. :(
