Ds just informed me that nothing fits...so I asked him what he meant he was dressed yesterday...He has two pairs of shorts that actually fit, all his underware are snug/tight.....yikes....we might be heading over to Kohls later for some Boy clothes....Shirts are good, some are snug...

This normal for a almost 11 year old to go through giant growth spurts...he is almost 5 foot 3 already....he is going to be a tall drink of water.

Yep, pretty normal. He is tall for his age. My brother was 5'10" in 6th grade, but never grew after that (hit is adult height). DH was 6' in 6th grade and grew a foot a year till he graduated high school.

I hit my adult height at 13, it just turned out to be 5'! LOL

I expect him to be tall, my birth father was 6 ft. 3 in.
dh is 5 ft. 11 in. I am 5 ft 6 1/2 in. Yes I shrank an inch....

how tall was your birthmother?
poor ds' birthparents are like dh and me, 6'2 and 5'2..so who knows where he will end up in the spectrum.
dd's are both fairly short 5'6 and 5'2.
interestingly, the formula and the old wives tale puts ds at 5'9 and he is already 5'10 (so not sure if he will grow more) but with dd, we get two different heights 5.2 and 5.6. I am thinking she won't be growing much more. About fainted the other day, walked in on her changing and she had a FULL amount of pubic hair!! thinking her period is right around the corner.

my bio mom was 5'4

my mother was a petite 4'11.

WOW about dd....I have seen peach fuzz on both kids privates, and I am so not ready for this....each is wearing deoderant...one because he needs it....one because she has been ready her care and keeping of you book....girls are so different than boys....

we are now looking for facial wash that isn't too drying but acne cleaning

My dks had sports physicals the other day. The big "issue" lately has been the number of strangers who come up to either dh or I and say, "Your boys are twins??" Dh and I say...Um, nope! 2.5 years difference. It's hysterical. Oh boy...this does not sit well with ds1!! (He's "insulted" to be mistaken for a 10 year old! LOL Ds2 thinks it's kind of cool that people think he might be 12! LOL) Ds 1 (who is 12.5) is only 4'11"...he desperately wants to GROW taller!! The doctor reassured him that he hadn't gone thru his pre-teen growth spurt yet...and confided in me that he is just passing through the first stage of puberty! Oh my! Ds2 (almost 2.5 years younger) is only 1.5" shorter...and outweighs his brother. The doctor also mentioned that he hasn't gone thru a growth spurt yet (yikes!) and hasn't even left the first stage of puberty! He's just an overall bigger kid.

My ds 1 has many kids in his class going through huge growth spurts...changing voices...etc. I try to tell him that his time will come...but he doesn't like being one of the shorter kids in the class. Oh brother! Unfortunately, as we have informed him, he wasn't blessed with the "tall" gene...I'm only 5'3" and dh is only 5'10".

Neither of my boys use deodorant on a regular basis...even though I think they should. (Not because they have an odor...but just because I think it's a good habit to get into, and now seems like the time.)

:) Got that right. LOL I was glad when my second was a girl too so she could wear all of dd #1's hand me downs that were still in perfect condition. By the time dd #3 came along all of dd #2's clothes were pretty outdated (5 years between them) and so I bought a bunch of new ones... or slightly used. :)

Save $$... kids are expensive! :)

That's so funny. Brichard's brother is married with no kids. They both work have loads and loads of money in the bank. He "sort of" brags about having a lot in savings and how we should have more put away. I always say that my 3 precious babies are our 401K. I'd rather have them and be home with them than all the money in the world. They may have lots to retire with, but nobody to come visit them.

Ok, off my soapbox and I apologize in advance if I have offended anyone.
