Hey sleepyheads!! Where is everyone?
Not much happening here. Dh went to the office for a bit, dd slept in and I'm trying to motivate myself to start laundry and water the outside plants. Gotta work 2-6 and that's it.

Saturday! I'm moving mine!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm exhausted...got home at 12:30 last night...and dbf had soccer practice today so he was up at 8 am...then his friend called at 9:00....ugh its saturday...leave me alone.
Think I'm going to run errands if I ever get moving....need an oil change and thinking about a hair cut.
Have a good day!
Slept in a little Nothing going on here until this afternoon, we are going to our neighbors daughters wedding at 3:00 PM...
I have laundry to do this morning and need to pick up some dry cleaning.
I am thinking about heading out to Starbucks and grabbing a coffee....

Spent 3+ hours this morning re-claiming SOME of my gardens from the weeds!! For the first hour, it's hard to bend over---for the last hour, it's hard to stand up. LOL It started sprinkling (Thank you, God--I must be doing something good in my life!) so I'm taking a little break. I started re-reading Exodus, by Leon Uris. I love that book.....and it seems timely, too, with the current unrest. So, if anyone asks (and not that they would), I'll be sitting on the front porch with my nose in something good.
Have a good afternoon.
Dd's bday party is this afternoon. We got her a guitar and I'm hoping she really loves it (she's been asking for one for a while now). This morning I think I just need to vacuum, sweep and mop. Dh will do the decorating. :)
Dh and I are going out tonight. :)

OMGosh we were at guitar center yesterday and saw a pink guitar with the body shaped like a flower. Couldn't decide if it was the cutest or cheesiest thing I'd ever seen.

We didn't climb out of bed until 8:00. Dh ate breakfast while I made coffee, then I went on the computer and replied to a few e-mails that I should have replied to a few day's ago, but was too busy. Dh's washing/waxing the car and I just got back in the house from watering all my hanging baskets again... geese, have to do that just about every darn day. LOL Just got done talking with dd #3... she's sitting at the baseball field in the hot sun watching her fiancee play ball... He's got five games he's got to play today. It's WAY too hot for that. I can't believe they didn't cancel them. They're warming people not to spend any more time out in this hot humid weather than they have to, and they're out there playing ball. I'm not a big sports fan but... that's ridiculous!
I didn't sleep the best last night... I kept thinking about dh's boss and him having lung cancer. I feel so bad for him/his family and what they're going through right now. Dh said that when he came in to tell him about it he was just shaking. I went through this with my dad and it was the hardest thing I've ever had to go through. I wouldn't wish it on anyone.
Needing to go to SAM's, but won't do that until later. In the meantime I think I'm going to go upstairs and read a while. I'm not going outside any more than I have to. LOL
Hope you're all having a nice day. Take care........
I started to post this morning, but never did finish typing my post. I got up at 7:30 today and squeezed in a nap this afternoon. Dd is babysitting tonight and we dropped her off. On the way home we stopped by and picked up ds's friend who is spending the night here. His cat had kittens 2 weeks ago so we were checking them out. They are so cute and tiny. Need to get dinner started. It's almost 7:00.

A friend of dd's has a heart-shaped bass guitar! She plays frequently on our church's praise and worship team and it's cute to see her up there with it. (What's even funnier is when she's gone and her dad is up there playing it! )

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to your dd. I'm sure she's going to just love the guitar you got for her. Does she already know how to play or will she be taking lessons? Let us know how it goes......

Didn't you just give your cat away not too long ago? I love new little kittens. :) Each/every time I see one, I get the urge to take another one, that is until dh puts his foot down and say's NO MORE PETS. LOL I know he's right, but it's still so hard to turn around and walk away from them. I make it a point never to go in to look at/see baby anythings anymore. LOL

We got up early and drove to a nearby town to pick up our beef. We went halvsies with someone on a cow. We stopped at a roadside fruit/produce stand on the way home and bought fresh corn on the cob, canteloupe, watermelon and tomatoes. Mmm..... I guess that's what will be on our menu tonight.
I'm going to run out now and get some new plants to go along with my shutters/door that are newly painted.
Church tonight. Have a great day!

We gave away the 2 cats we got when we moved here. They have been gone about 2 months now. The one was peeing all over the laundry and rugs. They both stunk. I should have never got them in the first place, I just wanted a cat so bad. I haven't heard from the people who took them (two separate people) so I hope they worked out with their new families. They weren't the cats for our family. :bawling:

Afternoon all. Finally cooled down yesterday, so I made some blueberry muffins.
I have really bad PMS...so trying to avoid my family as I was ripping their heads off this morning and for some reason they weren't responding well to that!
Got ds's room clean through...what a job! He misplaced one of his favorite hoodies early this summer and we have been on the search ever since...thought if we did a real deep clean of his room it might show up...no luck there though.
Middle dd got home from camp yesterday, so I got her to do her room today. She sure brought out a pile of clothes that don't fit anymore. No wonder when I sent her clean clothes they would end up ON TOP of the dresser instead of in it.
Did a bit of work for my auction job today. There is an interesting job listing in the paper this week that I am going to apply for. As much as I love my summers/school holidays off, it is getting increasingly hard to make ends meet without pay for most of that time. My last paycheck was June 27th....I have stretched it as far as I could but I get a little B*&&tchy when this time of year rolls around. What good is it to have all this time off when we can't travel for lack of funds!?!?!? My unemployment check SHOULD be here by Wednesday....at least it will be a little cash.
Best get back to working at this house! Amazing how well I can pitch stuff when I am in a bad mood!

Your family doesn't take well to having their heads ripped off first thing in the morning? I can't imagine why not.
Hope you are having a better day today.
I always to a better job at pitching things when I am in a bad mood too. sometimes too good. A week later I am wishing I would have kept something I got rid of. I think dd#1 may take after me. She was in a really foul mood one day last week and went stomping off too her room. We could hear a lot of thumping and banging going on but couldn't figure out what she was up too. When I went to check on her she had everything pulled out of every drawer / closet/ shelf and had really come up with a pile of stuff she had outgrown or just didn't want anymore (dolls, stuffed animals, knickknacks etc.) She even rearranged her room. she was in a much better mood when she came back downstairs, so glad she worked out her frustrations constructively. I haven't seen her room so neat in a long time.
