Tragic Accident

Yesterday in a neighboring county a tractor trailor coming off interstate plowed into a school bus knocking it off the axil and turning it over. So far 2 students have died, 2 are critical. Nine kids on the bus at the time. It was the next to last day of school. No signs that the truck even tried to apply the breaks. Big NTSB investigation. Keep these families in your prayers.

How terrible!! I will definitely keep them in thought and prayer. I hope the injured recover OK. My ds was in a bus accident a couple months ago - thankfully no one was seriously injured - only minor. It sure makes me think now every time one of mine get on a bus. Please keep us posted on how they are and what happens.

Oh my, what a tragic end to a school year. My heart hurts just thinking about it. Keep us posted on the two injured children. I'll keep all these families in my prayers.
My children both have little pins with a prayer to St.Christopher in their backpacks. There is also one in our car to protect up wherever we my go. It's no garentee, but I do believe in the power of prayer.

Just an update on the accident. Sadly another student died this week. One left in the hospital in critical condition. NTSB report stated mechanical failure. It seems 7 of the 10 brakes on the truck did not work. Driver said he didn't realize that until he was on the exit ramp. Makes me wonder how often brakes are checked.

How awful. :( I just hate it when stuff like this happens, especially to know it possibly could have been avoided. What a sad time for all involved - will keep them in my thoughts and prayers.

How awful. I bet that truck driver isn't doing very well either, at least emotionally. Prayers to the families...
