I bought some touch up paint for the bathroom, and it is now painfully obvious that my bathroom is NOT Atmosphere Blue. Who knew when dh said to do a test spot, that that meant I was supposed to let it dry before deciding it matched. I'm thinking about sponge painting it, but I don't want it to look like clouds in there. Any other ideas?

Use a feather duster! or go buy one of those textured rollers and add some glaze to the new paint and paint over the old.

Definitely get some clear glaze to mix with it to make it more "pliable". You can either rag on or rag off depending on which color you want to highlight the most. Ragging on means that you will dip a bunched rag into the paint and "pat" on the color making the color you are working with the highlighted color. Ragging off if more subtle. You pain on the new color over the old color and then take a dry bunched rag and pounce against the wall to remove so the paint of the original wall color comes through.

Whenever I faux paint, I like ragging off the best. It looks slightly aged and textured.

Oh cool. Might try the ragging off technique with some glaze in there. I'm only dealing with the toilet area, so its not a huge project. There are cabinets and a lot of trim in there though, so there would be a lot of cutting in if I (and by I, I mean dh who does not trust my painting abilities at this point) had to completely cover the old stuff. Plus, I like the old color better - its a light, chalky blue. Very understated.
