I'm so tired though....my stomach is so mad at me for eating a grilled veggie wrap for dinner.

Think I'll lay back done in a bit....Got dentist (just a cleaning) hopefully it will go smoothly today. Hate that place.

Have a great day!

This is the first week that the kids didn't have summer recreation or soccer games etc. and boy am I paying the price. Dd is so bored out of her mind already and crawling up the walls and wants to go on vacation NOW instead of Sunday. It is going to be a long 4 days. LOL

It is another beautiful day, so I should get them outside. I would love to go for a hike, but ds is a little bugger when it comes to exerting himself on something he doesn't consider fun. LOL

Do they have any friends they could invite over? Maybe ya'll could go to the movies... hope you find something to entertain them.
Dd came home from golf Monday and I didn't see her for 3 hours! She was upstairs playing school, drawing pictures, reading... it was great!

Home alone. Ahhhhh. Dd slept over at mom's and is there all day sewing for her American Girl dolls.

I've got errands to run. Dd's golf coach is leaving and tomorrow is a pizza party for the Girl's Golf group, so another mom and I are working on a gift and I've got a cake ordered. Gotta go find an autograph picture frame. I know I've seen them in my travels, but now that I need one, I bet I can't find one. LOL

My day to go over to dh's aunts house to clean. She said it would be at least 3 hours... so I should be making some pretty good $$. I'm hoping to get there early so I can leave and get home early.

It's a cloudy day today, looks like were going to get some more rain. I finally got caught up on all my laundry. I still need to strip the bed and wash all that, but it's not something that can’t wait until tomorrow. :) Dd and I have been very busy trying to find a place for their wedding/reception. Their original wedding date was going to be September 22nd... and were now at May 5, and that's only if this place is open that day. They've got one other couple looking at it for that day, so it depends upon whether they take it or not. Keeping my fingers crossed that they don't. LOL We'll see...

Anyway, I hope you all have a great day today. Take care...

Diane...

Diane, your dd sounds like my niece. Her wedding date was supposed to be Sept. 23rd. Then she got pregnant and now her new date is May 5.

Another beautiful day, weather-wise, in store for us. Have some more stuff to do to get my Dad moved back home tomorrow, but it's all good.

I have a meeting for women's ministry this morning. Ds and dd#2 went home with MIL last night. Dd#1 is sound asleep and I'm having a hard time getting her up. My neighbor is supposed to watch her, but dd wants to stay here in bed. I'm too nervous to leave her alone though, even if when she woke up she went over to my neighbors.

I had hoped to take the kids to an afternoon baseball game, but it's been raining. I'll have to wait and see if the ground dries up. Tonight at church we are having an illusionist, it should be really cool. Food pantry tonight as well.

Have a great day!

How does you dad feel about moving? Is he okay/excited about it or does he seem reluctant to leave where he's been staying? I'm sure he'll miss all of his friends, but I'm sure he'll make some new ones and end up liking it just as much, if not more. It will be nicer for you to have him closer to home. :)

I'm actually glad the date has (maybe) been moved up. I wouldn't have minded a September wedding but I'm anxious for them to get married... and having it a few months earlier will be very nice. :) Now were hoping that everyone else (dj/caterer) are also open for that day. Ugh...

I'm sooo tired. A reaction to meds kept me up a good deal of the night and I have no clue if/when I can snatch a nap today. A friend is dropping by later to pick something up and then ds1 has to go to school to meet his teacher this afternoon. School starts tomorrow for him. That's it for our day.

I haven't spoken with him myself (I have to call him today), but apparently he's disappointed it's a semi-private room. When he first put his name on the list he requsted a ward room. When we moved him to Brampton we convinced him to put his name in also for private and semi-private so he could get in quicker if anything came up then. Then when we moved him to Brampton to a private room and he was upset it wasn't a ward room. My sister told him to be grateful he's coming home, lol. Men! He doesn't have any friends to miss per se. He loves the nurses and they love him (have even told him they didn't want him to move back here any time he brought it up and some have teased they'll transfer here to be with him, lol). I'm hoping once he's back home he'll be more open to friends.

Ah...your wedding is moving up from Sept. 07 to Ma 07...my niece's is postponed from Sept. 06 to May 07, lol. I'm sure it'll all work out for your dd.

Renee, when my dh and mom had their cadillacs the hubcaps got stolen all the time. they joked that they were probably buying them back from themselves when they went to the hubcap stores.

Ok, so far so good today. Not as nauseas as usual. Need to get that laundry done! I have to be ready to pack on Sunday and between now and Sat. gotta scrub the house, floors and bathrooms need it. Dh is going to paint the hallways going up and down stairs while we're gone and a few touch ups around the house. I'll be so glad to get the halls done, in some places it was only drywall where we renovated and it's impossible to clean.
Euchre tonight, not sure if I'm going. I hope so.
Hope you all have a good day :)
Diane, good luck finding a place and everyone is open to it.
Bev, your dad is moving back home? That's great!

I am sooooo tired today! I got a call from my twin sister at 1:15am this morning. Her water broke! She wanted me to pick up my niece and have her stay the night. Of course after that I was wiiiiide awake and couldn't sleep til I heard news about the baby. I didn't get to sleep til after 6am.

She had an 8lb 14 oz, 19 in long, baby girl! I can't believe how big she is. LOL They are still deciding on a name.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Afternoon all! Another HOT day. Have to work at 3:30 but at least I am in the office so it shouldn't be too bad. Feel sorry for the auctioneers and clerk who have to be outside!

Dh has been called to work on the fields, so our mini-holiday probably won't go off as planned. Maybe we will we postpone it till Sept long weekend or Thanksgiving. I have to laugh at ds...we were planning to go to Minot for a couple of days and he is so excited to be going to the USA! For whatever reason, he thinks it will/would be a great thing...hated to tell him that it isn't palm trees and beaches!

That's how it is here; gotta get in our 180 days. We go Sept. 5th til the second week of June. Maybe you won't have the same number of days off, though. However, we seem to loose more every year. They actually took a week of Xmas break away from us last year.

no offense to all the teachers, but it's all the stupid inservice days. if they took those days and tagged them on at the end or the beginning of the year it would change so much. school was 180 days when i was growing up, but it wasn't all the holidays. we got thursday/friday for Thanksgiving, two weeks at Christmas and one week of spring break and managed to go to school labor day to memorial day. my kids have at least one day off per month including all the holidays!

Sorry to hear about your hubcaps, Renee. Hope they find the little culprits who took them. :(

I just got back a little bit ago from dh's aunts house.   OMG... I've never seen so much clutter in my entire life. I'm not kidding... she's got crap everywhere, and she doesn't want to get rid of any of it. :( While I was there, one of her neighbor's came over and when she told them I was her neice and was there to help her clean up, he said something about taking away all the clutter. Ugh... She asks, "What clutter??? " and was genuinely upset that someone would call all her precious belongings, “clutter“. LOL Another thing... she watches and buy's from QVC... she's got stuff from QVC all over the place. Some of it she uses, but most of it she doesn't. I think she just wants/likes it. LOL She's got a beautiful house, but it's not easy working/cleaning around all that clutter. Honestly... I've never seen so much of it anywhere. LOL Anyway... I made VERY good money today, worked 4 hours and made more money today in 4 hours than I did in a week for one dc kid. I'm beginning to think about maybe trying to find a few more people who might want/need someone to come in to clean their houses a couple of times a month. The money certainly is right. :) I’m tired but I feel good about my day. I can't believe how nice her once cluttered family room looked when I left... wow, what a difference. I even impressed myself. :biglaugh:

well, finally found the answer on their webpage..it is 20 hours to get benefits. now the trick (if they offer me the job and if i want it) is to get them to pay me less but let me work 20 hours.
