I can't believe it's Saturday morning and I'm awake and up before 7:00. Just couldn't sleep for some reason. Am finishing up my laundry... still gotta make coffee and then I'm going to putz around on the computer for a while. Nothing in particular planned for the day, not sure if dh has any plans or not. Maybe we'll go bumming. :)

Dd and her fiancee have an appointment to go look at a place for their wedding this morning. Keeping my fingers crossed that it's going to be big enough to hold everyone. I swear they've called just about every place possible and they're all already booked. There is already someone waiting in line for the place/date they're going to go look at this morning. Lucky dd called/inquired about it first or I'm sure that would be taken too. I can't believe they need $700.00 up front to hold it... no refunds. :) I told dd she'd better not back out for some reason or she'd be owing us $700.00. LOL I don't think that would be happening, but you never know. LOL

Anyway... hope you all have a great day.

Diane...

I have so much to do before hopping the plane tomorrow, yet here I sit just stalling away. LOL Obviously, the biggest thing is to get everything we need packed. Then I have to pack the dog's and the ferret's things for their designated boarding and drop-off today. A whole evening without our pets will be very weird! :bawling:

Had no plans for the day and then ended up going to 2 different libraries this morning and a couple stores. I was looking for a lunchbox for ds and couldn't find one. It's times like this I miss the states. I just ended up shopping on line and got some good deals. Now I'm officially done school shopping.
The kids switched rooms last night and ds's is done. Dd's is almost done. The only thing left is all the pictures on the walls. Those can wait. I need to sew a rip in ds's comforter and I think I might watch a movie while I do it. Finished one book last night and started another this morning. Laundry is my only goal today and it's coming along.
Amy- how is the new ferret doing?
Ann- I agree. Sleeping in until 7 is such a treat for me. I think you get up way before I do. My alarm is set for 4:45 but it's about 10 minutes fast.
Diane- will they (dd and her df) know today if they are going to take the place?

I can understand doing ds' packing, but why are you packing your dh's and dd's stuff?
It is weird when the animals aren't in the house!

Ds3 is 4 today. He's so excited. Kids are tidying and dh just got rid of a pile of stuff on the patio. Thank goodness it's nice enough to have the party outside with the pool open. Gotta run to the grocery store for a few things or everyone at this party will starve. lol Stop and pick up balloons. No plans later today, should be nice and relaxing, hangin' round the house/yard.
Hope you all have a good day :)
Ann, I pack for all the kids and dh too when we go anywhere. If I didn't they would leave everything behind including clean underwear. lol Kids would only remember toys and books. And if they didn't have clean clothes they just wouldn't care, so it's up to me! lol

Morning, well I have the last load in the dryer, I slept till 7:15 am...I have all my clothes packed, dd an ds have what they want to take on thier beds, I like to double check what they are bringing, ds never packs enough and dd over packs, girls  I am getting really excited, have a great check list and am just waiting for those clothes to dry, I feel asleep before I got the last load in the dryer....can't get there until noon...so I am not stressed about it... The house usually rents from Saturday at noon to the Next saturday at 10:00 am. cleaning service comes through in between.

I am bringing the DVD player in the house and have some of my favorite movies packed...although I did get some new books I can't wait to start on.

Have a great time Amy! ENJOY your vacation.
Ann Good luck on getting that job you want. I am so rooting for you!
Diane I hope dd and her df find a place for thier wedding.

Everyone else Have a great Week.

happy birthday to your ds!

so? if they had dirty clothes, what's the problem. they would learn. I always have extra toothbrushes, but if they forget something or choose not to pack it, it's their problem not mine.

I am not packing for the family! I meant that we had to bring up all the laundry and gather things so we can get packed. I did do ds's, but dh and dd were on their own. I need to do the basic packing like suntan lotion, shampoo, towels and etc.

Funny turn of events today. Dh and dd talked about going to the National Park today and spending the night. It's now turned into dd's girlfriend and her stepdad going too! They are going to have SO much fun. I'm actually jealous because they are doing my favorite two hikes while they are there. :(

I have to work 1-6 then I guess it'll be dinner and a movie for me tonight! :)
(while I catch up the laundry)

Mel, happy b'day to your little man!

Have a good trip, Amy and Renee!!!

Not much planned today. Dh and I got some banking done for my Dad, washed the car, did groceries, and cut the grass. Think I might join my sister and her granddaughter (sweet little cuddle-bum Victoria) for a visit with my Dad. I'll take some pics for his bulletin board.

Mel- Happy Birthday to your ds. I can't believe he's 4 already.

We just got back from a long walk. The weather has turned beautiful (in the 70's) and I'm loving it here again. I watched "In Her Shoes" today. Cute movie.

:happydnc: Dd and her df loved the place they went and looked at this morning and... the wedding is officially going to be on May 5, 2007. :) :) Now we've got to hurry and get the caterer/dj and photographer set up. Hopefully everyone we want to do it is available on that date/time. :) What a difference having it 4 months sooner makes. 8o

They stopped over here on their way home... took us out to TGIF for lunch. Ate enough but not too much. I didn't want to walk around feeling too full for the rest of the day. Anyway... am glad everything turned out okay.

Mel... HAPPY BIRTHDAY to your ds,
Renee and Amy... hope you both have a great time on your vacation.

Wow, the place for the wedding looks great. Have fun with the rest of the planning.

Mel - it's late and your ds is more than likely sleeping by now, but adding my birthday wishes as well.

dh is feeling a bit better today so ventured out for a bit this morning. The rest of the day we just sort of hung out around here. Did a few things around the house. nothing too exciting.

Tomorrow is our church picnic. The kids are looking forward to all the games, races etc... Should be fun.

Very nice! Will she be using the church, too? Will there be many flowers for pictures in early May?

Yes... she'll be using the church too, so everything is at the same place. There probably won't be as many flowers, but the lady said it's still very pretty there and still make for good photo's. :) We'll have to see about that... otherwise there are a few other place not that far away that would be a nice place to take pictures. :)

Thanks for the b-day wishes. Ds had a great day. He cried when the girls next door had to go home. It was late and they all had a bon fire in the backyard which was over. He was just tired but upset all the same. Didn't want the day to end.

Diane, the place is beautiful! What a perfect location for a wedding. Dd must be so excited.
