View Full Version : Need snack/lunch ideas for preschool
I know this has been done before, but I can't get search to come up because of the advertisement. I'm needing some ideas for snacks for ds2 for preschool on Tues. and lunch ideas for Thurs. 'cause we'll stay downtown shopping for a while afterwards.
Here's what I have so far...
pb and banana tortilla
crackers and cheese
How's that for original?

We made the cutest 'banana split salads' in school last week. Split a banana in the peel the long way...but don't cut all the way through the peel. Paint the inside of the banana with orange juice (to prevent it turning black). Place 4 or 5 mandarin orange slices in the banana, and a couple of cut grapes. Wrap in foil. No need to refrigerate of course.
The kids liked them--even my non-fruit eaters!

I hate packing snack for dd. I hope to goodness 5th graders don't need snack this year!!
cereal bars/granola bars
jeff had a great idea for hot dogs in a thermos. dd loves the mini quiches and chicken tenders and they stay warm in her thermos, even soups....

My poor child usually gets something as creative as an apple or a fruit roll up if he remembers. If not, then he doesn't get a snack. Last year his teacher told him if he forgot his snack, he could come by and get and apple from her  . Excuse me, thanks for helping teach my child responsibility!

We give the kids at school puffins cereal for snack....They love it and it's healthier then most.
