Well, I have the same stuff planned for today. I am getting ready for work now, and when I get off, I will go visit with Brayden. He took a whole bottle for his 6:00 feeding yesterday. It took him about 40 minutes to take the 40 mL, but he did it. :yippee: He is up to five pounds and 0.5 ounces. His problem now is that he gets comfortably full and he goes to sleep, so you have to keep waking him up to get him to finish the bottle, and sometimes, he just won't wake up, so they have to stick the unfinished part in his tube.
He is making progress though, and I hope if he continues, he will be home soon.

I can't wait until you get him home Leigh!
I ended up having a crazy day yesterday, lots of people over, it was fun. I have a parent meeting and dd#2 has soccer practice at the same time. My inlaws are going to help me out until brichard gets there. Have a great day all!
Leigh, I can't believe you are back to work already. Nobody would ever not take a year (or more) off in Canada for leave. Will you get to take time off again, once Brayden comes home?
Angie, glad you had a good time yesterday and yay for your in-laws!
Decided to work today and go to the funeral home tonight. It's an hour and a half out of town and we're taking a sister and her dh, then picking a niece up in another town on the way. Two of my sisters, a BIL and my brother are taking my Dad tomorrow for the funeral.

That's just GREAT, Leigh. :yippee: He'll be home before you know it. :)
I'm suppose to go to dh's aunts house to clean today, and I'm trying to convince myself to still go... but my back isn't any better and I don't want to go there and start lifting things and making it any worse. I think I'm just going to hurry/call her and tell her I won't be making it. I feel bad but I just don't want to risk pulling it out completely.
Seeing my plans have changed for the day, I really have no clue what I'm going to do today. Maybe clean my own house, without any heavy lifting. LOL
I was surprised to wake up this morning to see a For Sale sign in front of one of my neighbor's houses. :) They've lived there for years and years... her mom owned it before she did and she inherited it. I hate to say, but she's not a neighbor that anyone will really miss... so hopefully it sells quickly. :)
Not much else...
Hope you all have a great day.

We get 6 weeks for maternity in the US. You can take a year for the family medical leave act and return to your job or a comparable one, but it's unpaid.

That's very sad, especially in Leigh's case. :bawling:

Could you not clean your dh's aunt's house without the heavy lifting and get paid for it?
Hope your neighbour's house sells quickly.

I called and asked her what was on her agenda for me to do today. It involved lifting boxes, some heavy... and moving them from one side of the room to another. I didn't thnk I wanted to chance doing that... so I asked her if there was anything else she needed done that didn't involve any kind of lifting and she said no, so I guess I'm staying home today. I may put in two day's instead of one next week to make up for my time lost.

Why do I live here??? I think it's only 12 (unpaid) weeks in a year for Family and Medical Leave. I've had to fill positions when people haven't returned in 12 weeks. If someone takes 6 weeks in January and more than 6 weeks in August/September, they're out of time, and I have to post their job. It stinks.

Wow ok so this is gonna be weird posting late today...
woke up 20 minutes before "work"...went to a 6 hour assistant training meeting. Came home passed out then cooked dinner.
We worked our butts off yesterday cleaning for 7 hours yesterday then I went to a minor legue baseball game....so got home about 11:30 lastnight.
Tommorrow will be another crazy day but we're hoping to get the major stuff done so friday is easy.
So if I disappear for a few day that's why!!!

When Brayden comes home, I can take 6 weeks leave, but I have to use my sick leave to get paid for that, and I don't have but about 3 weeks of leave left, so I will have to take 3 weeks unpaid.
Crazy isn't it. Take as much time as you can, its so worth it to be with them.
I am so happy for you that he is doing so well.

I'll bet you can't wait. Enjoy every minute you can with him. Have you looked into day care yet? I'm sure you probably already posted about that, but I can't recall. LOL
