Not a good start to the weekend...

I got a call from dh about noon. He was going out with a co -worker to get a bite to eat durning their lunch break this morning about 11:30. When he got to the parking lot his car was GONE. 8o :{ He was still waiting for the police to arrive when I talked to him. They got there shortly after and he said he will call back when he is finished with them. It's been two and half hours and still haven't heard from him and he's not answering his cell, so don't know what's up. Hopefully he will call soon.

dh called about 3:30. The police officers filed the reports, have a watch out for the car and are still investigating. They were just going to view security tapes when he called. They said they would call him with any news. Haven't heard anything yet. We are just glad he had the old car today. Not much of value in it other than the car itself. The police are figuring just some kids out to pull a prank, or go joy riding.
I had to load the gang up and go pick him up. dd#1 was out for the day so couldn't watch the little ones for me. Soooo glad it's the weekend.

Wow, you're not kidding that it's not a great way to start the weekend. 8o I hope they find the car... and that it's still in good condition. My neice had her car stolen from her works parking lot a few years ago... and the police found it a few hours later about 20 miles away, parked at the side of the road in flames. 8o Hope that's not the case with you and dh. I hope they're able to get a clear picture of who took the car from the security camera and will be able to find and arrest the little culprits.

dh had not heard anything this morning so called into the station. They hadn't found anything yet, but did get a good look at two young guys on the tape. We got a call later this afternoon for dh to come down to the station. They found the car in Toronto. 8o 8o. We haven't got it back yet but seems to be undamaged. It is being brought back up to our area tomorrow sometime but the police are holding it for a few days. Glad it was found anyway. The two guys on the video are known to the police, now just finding them.... they seem to have dissappeared.

Thanks for the update, Ryleigh. I'm so glad they found your car and it was undamaged. Bet you can't wait to get it back. Hope whoever took it will eventually get caught. :)

They got to two guys who took the car. They even admitted to it when caught. They are both 18. Neither one is licenced to drive. We should get it back later in the week. The boys are being charged with theft, driving without a licence and drug possession. I'll just be glad when this is over with.

Gosh, I am so glad that they found the car and the guys, and I hope you get the car back soon!
