We like to ride our bikes together, and we do at least 2 bike rides for charity events each summer (15 mile rides). Other than that, we really don't say "plan" for exercise as a family. Sometimes it just ends up that we are doing active things together.

I just sent two of the boys down to the park, does that count?

We don't do much as a group, usually in twos or threes - walking or bike riding. We've been debating a gym membership because the boys and dh want to lift weights, but I think we're just going to buy some and make a work out area in the garage. Also, dh and I are going to get bikes.

We sometimes go for walks around the neighborhood, but it's not always all of us. This summer we played kickball a lot and that was a blast! It was just for fun, but I fihure it was great exercise. I was constantly out of breath....guess that happens when there's only two people on a team and you are running non-stop. LOL Other than that, dh is outside with dks a lot doing different sports things, but there's no real set exercise plan.

The only thing I do with dh is walk. and we'll usually walk at least 2 miles a day. I wouldn't think of exercising in front of him. :( I make it a point to do all my exercises during the day when he's not home. LOL He's a very nice/sweet loveable/gentle guy. I love him dearly... but for some reason he always (thinks) he's got a better idea/way of doing them. For some reason... I'm doing them wrong or... there is a better way.   Drives me crazy... LOL I like to do what works and is comfortable to me... and when he's exercising he can do them any way he wants. LOL :biglaugh:

We've done a lot of hiking together this summer. Dd#2 loves to do my "biggest loser" dvd with me, and it's quite funny!

Before I got pregnant, we exercised every nite as a family. Dd would ride her bike as dh and I skated on roller blades. I pushed ds in a jogger stroller while I skated. We mapped out a route that took 30 mins. I can't wait to get back into the routine of doing that after dd#2 comes. When she's old enough, we plan on joining a new family gym that opened up here.

I'd need the stroller to hold me up on roller blades!! LOL!!

:biglaugh: :biglaugh: Me too... LOL I have a pair of roller blades but haven't put them on in years. I think the last time I had them on I fell down in a pot hole in the street and banged myself up pretty good.. 8o I sat down and took them off and I have never put them back on. Damn things are dangerous!!! LOL 8o

Oh yeah... I turned the corner and... there it was. 8o As soon as I saw it I was in it. :biglaugh: It wasn't funny at the time, but when dh reinacted it for me later... I had to laugh. My little neighbor kids go so fast on their roller blades... don't know how they do it. I remember when I was younger how good I was on my skateboard... but I could never do that anymore either. Must be an age thing. LOL

I was thinking about this today and heck, even if I did see a pothole that wouldn't have done me any good. LOL! Rollerblades and me just wouldn't be a good match.

Actually... I think I probably still would have ended up in the hole if it had been two feet wide and right smack in front of me. :biglaugh: I think I had only had them on a whole two/three times before... so I wasn't very good on them at all. It didn't leave a very positive impression on me either... LOL

We go for walks around the neighbourhood and bike ride. But this summer it just seemed way too hot to bike ride. The kids spent a lot of time in the pool even after dinner. I'm sure once night sickness goes away we'll be back to walking at least a few nights a week. Even a short walk will do us some good and help the kids sleep at night. In the winter dh ski's with the kids and they all love it. Not my cup of tea and this year I have a good excuse to not get on them.
I've never been on roller blades but loved roller skating as a kid. Not sure if I would love it now since I'm pretty wobbly on ice skates. lol
