One ds out the door and it's still not time to wake up the other one. Ds3 is sitting here half asleep and refusing to go back to bed. lol Think I may take a run to Costco today to buy new lunch kits. Think there are a few things I need. Dh has euchre tonight, I miss going but won't go until the 'night sickness' is gone. I'm starting to feel better in the day but night isn't good. lol
The kids had a great first day of school yesterday. Wasn't crazy about how long it takes ds1 to get home on the bus. The one he takes he gets home 45-50 minutes after school is out. The bus the girl next door takes she gets home 20-25 minutes after school is out. I will see how the week goes but think I will call to have him switched. That is time he could be using for homework while the house is still quiet before his brothers come home.
Ann, hope you find answers today.
Have a good day everyone :)
I don't think today holds anything very exciting. It's dd's 15th bday :bawling: which we'll celebrate on Saturday. She and dh have music practice tonight at church, so it looks like it'll be a late one. No clues yet on dinner, lol. It looks like dh has agreed to the new dishwasher... but his idea of when and my idea of when never seem to mesh. Prob'ly because I'm a *now* person and he's a *let's really check them over, see what we want, what the deals are* person. Hopefully we'll have one by this weekend, LOL!
Mel, I used to have "night sickness" too when I was pregnant with dd1. Weird stuff, lol! I hope it passes soon.

Not much going on today. Dh's aunt doesn't need me today so am going to stay home and deal with what I have to do here. :) Gotta do the laundry I never got to yesterday because I was running around too much, but I did at least get the house all picked up. I'm watching all the neighborhood kids as they walk down the street to go to school... they all look so nice in their new clothes. :) I'm use to seeing them all in their grubby play clothes, and they look so different dressed up. LOL
Picking my mom up after dh gets home from work. Target and then back home to sit/relax... visit with each other. We might pop some popcorn and watch a movie... depends upon what the movie is. Sometimes dh has different taste than I do when it comes to movies. Once in a while he'll surprised me with a good one. LOL :biglaugh: I can't stand all the blood/gore in the ones he likes. :(
Not much else... hope you all have a great day!
Ann... I hope your dd wakes up feeling better today.
PamE... Happy 15th Birthday to your dd!!!
Diane...

Mel, I hope your "night sickness" goes away soon.
Pam, happy birthday to your dd!
Ann, hope your dd is feeling better today.
Diane, I hope you and dh can agree on a good movie to watch.
Working today. Taking ds to get his braces on this afternoon. Dinner time should be fun, lol. Hoping to get out for a run tonight, but we'll have to see what the weather brings...I'm not ready (weather-wise) to run inside on the treadmill yet.

OMG ya'll! I SO do not want to go back to work next week. :bawling:
We met half of our class today and I'll say the girls are awesome! Behaved, smart, independent. And two of the three fellas are fine but one......... I bet not many of you have witnessed a FIT like this kid had when it was time to leave. He HIT his mom, screamed bloody murder, slammed our door twice and screamed and screamed and cried and hit; and the mom let it go on for, no lie, 10 minutes!
I give her credit for trying to talk him down, but it wasn't working and we knew of his behavior issues from the previous class he was in last year but sheessh!! I just don't know how my nerves will handle this sort of thing.
Then we have a severe peanut allergy. I'm a little nervous about it b/c it seems to even affect this student even if someone eats p'nut butter for breakfast and then comes into contact with him. I've got to come up with a note to send home to parents to advise them not to feed their kids peanut products for breakfast and to be sure not to send in any peanut/peanut type foods.
Sigh....
On the other hand, dd had another great day at school and once homework is done, she's going golfing with her dad. :)
I need to go back to Best Buy b/c this 'puter is toooo slow and I also need lunch and snack foods. Welcome back to the routine! :)
work, post office, errands, home now, dinner and tv....
OH yeah BED!

8o How awful...
That's part of doing day care that I don't miss. I've had a few kids just like you discribed here. Just about every night this one little girl would kick and scream at the top of her lungs as she'd pull her mom's hair, and I witnessed her kick her mom in the face/jaw more than once. 8o
I also had one little guy who'd bite his grandma in the arm while she was trying to buckle him up in his seat belt. (he didn't want to leave) He was 9 years old :( and should have known better. On their way home he unbuckled his seat belt, opened up the car door and tried to find his way back to my house. Grandma had to chase/find him. They ended up having to call the police. Thank God these kids were always better behaved when their parent wasn't there. Hope that's the same case here. Good luck!!!!

I hope that little boy calms down once he gets into the routine. I would never tolerate my child hitting me and it makes me crazy when I see a parent letting them get away with that. I have a friend with a ds who has a severe peanut allergy too. He will also have a reaction just to the smell of peanut butter. Do you have an epi-pen for him?

My day was busy, volunteered for picture day at school from 9-2:30 (with the help of my 4 year old, lol), ran some tables home, went back to school to pick up my dd for a doctor's appt. The doctor was running so far behind that I had to leave to run home and pick up my ds who had gotten home before me and then go back to the doctor's office. The doctor was really nice, as were the whole staff or I'd probably be a little ticked about it. We hurried home and changed dd#2 into her soccer gear, as we ran out to get in the car for her game brichard showed up early, :yippee: we grabbed fast food on our way to the game. After we got home I left again to fill food pantry orders so I wouldn't have to get up at the same time AnnW does to go do it, lol. I'm beat!

My day went pretty good. I started a new preschooler and finally got my Wednesday class set up. We have been searching all over for ds #2's birth certificate so he can get his learner's permit and school permit. Dh mentions the other day he thinks it might be in our safe deposit box at the bank. Neither of us had a clue where the key was or if we even had one. So, I ran home today to grab something else and thought to look in a couple places and WALA! I found the key!! Went to the bank--found his birth certificate! Couldn't get a message to ds in time at school so he could go take the test today so he'll have to wait until next Wednesday.
After work I had a child care providers support group meeting. It was almost 9 before I got home. I'm running on only 3 1/2 hrs. of sleep. I spent the rest of the night in the bathroom. Finally about 8 o clock this morning I started to feel normal again. I'm waiting for refills on my hernia/stomach meds so I'm sure that's why.
sista- UGH! one kid like that can make the whole year seem to drag on. Hope you're able to get him straightened out soon. I have a little guy that throws a fit for mom each morning, but shortly after she leaves he's fine. He comes from another daycare where it sounds like the rules are pretty lax. If they don't want to take a nap, I think she'll let them go outside and play. Not sure if they're supervised or not. When they get done eating they can just jump up and leave the table. I don't know how true any of this is, but there's definitely a difference in expectations of the kids.
Pam happy birthday to your dd. My ds #2 turns 15 on 9/11.
Mel, hope your feeling better at nights soon.
Hope you all have a great nite and great day tomorrow.

LOL... I think anyone who's worked with kids could probably tell a lot of interesting stories. (I'd actually love to hear some of yours... LOL ) It would make some interesting reading. If there was a book... I'd probably buy/read it. LOL
