View Full Version : Friday
I have the day off and I'm waiting for someone to come fix my dishwasher. Please keep your fingers crossed for me. I came across an ad in the paper today for a dental assistant in a American dental office located off base. I called and talked to the lady about the job and she asked me some questions. She's going to talk to the Doctor and call me back. I don't know how much the job pays, but the hours are part time and the office is located less than 5 minutes from my house! Please keep your fingers crossed she calls back with some good news (as in they want to interview me). I had given up home on a dental job and now I have a little ray of hope.
After the dishwasher guy comes I have a ton of errands to run today. I like being off during the week. I have 3 leave days left so I think I'm going to take one day off a week until I graduate.
Jen, hope it want the job, it pays lots and they hire you!
work till 10. haven't mention anything (i think, losing my mind) but ds started vomiting last Tuesday. We don't know if it was something viral like dd and because of his stomach issues that's how it manifested itself in him, if it's the start back of the year from hell or if it's some kind of anxiety thing. he's lost 7 lbs, having trouble getting him into his specialist and they called and said 'should he be in the hospital?' well, how the hell do i know, why don't you let us get an appointment with you and you tell us???? grrrr
anyway, he went back to school yesterday. came home at 1:30 and slept till 4 am. praying hard that it was viral and it will be over.
dd is so much better, you wouldn't even know she had been sick.
i am ready to get off this roller coaster now, the ride is starting to make me sick!

Dh has an early appointment this morning so were up early again today. I love it when he gets an early start like this. LOL I'm hoping that seeing he's up/out early he might be able to get home a little earlier too... but we'll see.
I have Sarah today. Dd #3 is also spending the day with me. Were going to eat at, as Sarah say's it... "Wendy's house" (Wendy's) and then stop at Menard’s. Dd heard that they're having a clearance on all their candles... so thought we'd pick them up now/cheap while we can. She's just about done getting everything set up for the wedding. Were waiting on the dj's... but they're just not responding. I told dh that if we don't hear back from some of them pretty soon, they're off our list. It's been over a week and a half since we've contacted them... and I think that's plenty of time for them to get back to us, or to at least send us some kind of information. We've gotten as far as knowing they've got that particular date open... but that doesn't mean that gives them the job. When dd #2 got married our mailbox was crammed full of pamphlets and our phone was ringing off the hook with potential dj's wanting the job... which is certainly not the case this time. We'll see. :)
Picking my mom up after dh gets home tonight. I don't know where were going to eat tonight, hope it's not anywhere big because my stomach has been a bit on the sensitive side lately and I probably shouldn't eat too much. Then to Wal Mart and back home. It's suppose to rain for the next 3 day's... so I don't see us doing too much in the way of outdoor activities. Will maybe pick up a new book to read while were out tonight.
Hope you all have a great day...
Ann, you need to get all those sick vibes out of your house! Your poor family! Have you ever considered that your house might be a sick house?
I am getting ready to go to the gym. Since I started 2 days ago, I have lost 4 lbs. Before y'all start cheering (lol) it was water weight. I am still at the extreme top weight, but at least most of the bloating is gone.
Well I slept on my new mattress last night. Can't say I had the best nights sleep ever....it might have done with the hour nap I took earlier in the day. LOL

I am so glad it's friday.....I'm drained this week. My mouth still hurts....just not anything like before.
Nothing major here....just looking out the window and it looks like a nice day.

My last day of freedom before nursery school starts next week. Just picking up around the house and may go buy the paint for the downstairs bathroom.
We're meeting friends for dinner tonight and I can't wait, that'll be so fun!
Jen, GOOD LUCK!!
Ann, gosh... I can't imagine how you're feeling through all of this illness. Seems everytime you turn around "the other shoe" is dropping. I was wondering if there is something in ds's school making him ill. Dd dances with a girl who is literally allergic to her school building, so she takes online classes.
Diane, have a great time with Sarah & your dd! :)

Glad to hear your dd is feeling better... keeping my fingers crossed for ds that it's just the flu bug or something. Can't imagine having to go through all that again. :(

I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you about the job. :) Keep us updated.
Ann, I pray your ds is better soon. I can't imagine how scared you must feel for him and recently for your dd as well. I also hope it's nothing more serious than viral.
Amy, WTG...at least you're going to the gym, even if you are just losing water right now.
Diane, hope you get some responses from some dj's soon.
Jen, hope you get a job offer.
Sista, enjoy your last day of freedom :jester:
Vea, enjoy your day.
DS ate better last night, but he's still a bit testy about what he thinks he can chew on, lol. Working today and it's going to be a gorgeous day. Meeting a co-worker for lunch. Still need to get groceries in the house.
Jen-I hope your get the call to be inteviewed and they see you andn LOVE you and hire you on the spot!
Ann- you poor thing, I can't imagine what your all going through.
Jenn-enjoy you last day of freedom.
Amy-WTG on being consistant getting to the gym everyday...hey 4 pounds is 4 pounds...AWSOME!
Diane-enjoy your grandaughter and daughter.
Busy day for me....work, then I have some errands to run, and finally getting my nails done...we are having spagetti for dinner, so that part is easy.
(((Ann))) I hope ds is feeling better now and it is just a virus. Glad to hear dd is feeling better.

(((Ann))) I am so sorry you are all going through this. I was wondering the same thing as Amy when I was reading your post. Has your paint and insulation ever been tested? Or the schools? Praying everyone gets and stays healthy in your family.
Amy, good for you. I admire anyone who goes to the gym, I've never been even though I did peek my head in a women only gym in my town once. I should be going, I'm out of shape. At least now that ds3 is in school I will go for more walks, too bad they are so short to get him to school. lol But in the winter it's harder to walk through snow so that should act as weights on my boots right?
Diane, have fun with Sarah today. Hope you get a dj soon.
Jen, hope its a great job and they hire you!
Went to Baton Rouge for dinner last night. Food was great, huge amount so the rest of mine is in the fridge for lunch today. Going to get something done around here like more tidying, organizing and hopefully even put away some laundry. Promised ds3 we could go for a walk and see if FB (our priest) is home. Still haven't seen him since getting back except on Sunday at church and we have some Manitoba wild blueberry wine for him. He can compare it to the kind they make in the east. Not much else planned. Hope you all have a good day :)
well, he's home again today :(
i wonder if it's something in this house all the time. i am trying to get it tested but it's hugely expensive and hard to find truly qualified inspectors.

He was doing so well at home for quite a while, wasn't he? Would you think it would be more likely to be the school instead???

Think about all the off the wall illnesses her family (and her) has had in the last few years. The only common thread is that they live in the same house.
Ann, didn't a room in your house flood once? I keep thinking toxic mold that could have formed after that.

That's true... but her ds's was ongoing until he stayed home from school for months on end.

no, never had a flood. ds is the only one who has anything odd consistantly. 6 years ago was when dh had his headache. from the people i have talked to, if the house was causing him to be sick, it wouldn't be cyclical, it wouldn't only effect him, it would be progessive.
amy, that first link is just to a property inspector company. i know Rick even. Real estate property inspectors are used by a buyer of a house during the contract stage, they look at the things stated in that ad. i am looking for a TRUE enviromental inspector. like i said, finding a good one (there are alot of shysters out there cause of all the mold remediation) and one that is not about $5000 is hard.
like i said, i have explored everything.

Well, with dh out of town it looks like it's just me and the kids all weekend and that mean I'm hangging out at the community centre all morning. dd has gymnastics (8-11:00) ds has hockey (9:00-10:00), girls have dance (10:30 -11:30) . At least dd's gymnastics and ds hockey are in the same place and the girls dance class is in the school gym right next door. After that I think we will hit McDonalds for lunch and then see where we go from there. We have to go Wal-mart sometime in the afternoon. ds has a project for school already to work on. It's not due for a month, but he is eager to get started. concidering he usually leave everything until the last minute... I just glad he seems enthused about it..... got to get him going before the motivation dies out.
dh should be home Sunday afternoon sometime.
Ann - glad your dd is feeling better, hope your ds soon follows.

What's he doing presenting on a project on the weekend?

His presentation was yesterday(Friday) morning. He flies back into Toronto this morning, but is staying at his brothers until tomorrow. Three of his brothers are getting together and taking him out for his b-day. They want to make it a "guys weekend". He is coming home tomorrow, should be here by noon. The kids have planned a 'family' surprise party for him for when he gets home. They are doing everything.... food, cake, decorations, etc. They even made their own gifts.
