Thanks for asking gals... he is doing great. He sleeps pretty good, and he is getting bigger everyday it seems. Last appointment he was already 6 pounds. Dh and I are having a ball with him. We wouldn't trade him for anything in the world.

LOVE those questions!!! Totally what I think of when I think of new babies. :tinysmile

How about a few more questions. LOL Do you just love the middle of the night moments with him all by yourself? Or watching him as he sleeps? Are you amazed with every little change, noise, movement? :tinysmile I could go on and on. LOL

Yes, I love the smell of his head, and I love kissing his feet. We don't have the rocker put together yet, but I do love falling asleep with him on my chest. I am not too exhausted because he usually only wakes up once during the night.

Yes, I love cuddling with him in the middle of the night, but heck I love cuddling with him anytime...lol. I love watching him while he sleeps and I will sometimes touch him just to make him move so I know he is okay, especially when he is sleeping very peacefully. I am amazed every day at how much he changes. I love the way his hands move all around as he tries to figure out what he is doing with them. I love his grunts (he grunts a lot) and the way he sounds like a chipmunk. I love his little cat cries, and I know that I will miss hearing them when they know longer have the infant cat sounds.

glad to hear he's doing well and you are enjoying him. How much longer until you go back to work? Who's going to watch him?

I love holding him close and breathing in every little scent on him. I love smelling his milk breath. I love watching him as he stares at me with a totally trusting look even though I know he can't totally see me yet. I love knowing that his head will turn in my direction when he hears my voice across the room. I love watching all of his facial expressions as he sleeps. (He makes a lot of faces) I love giving him the bottle and watching his head turn back and forth as he tries to find it. I love singing to him knowing that he doesn't care that my voice is horrible, he just finds my voice as something comforting. I love knowing that when no one else can make him stop crying, I can pick him up and hold him close and tell him mommy is here, and it makes everything all better. I love running my hands over the top of his head and feeling his little fuzzy hair. I love when he wraps his little hand around my finger and holds it tight and won't let go. I love the way he is laying so content across my chest right now like there is no other place in the world he wants to be. I love the way he smiles when he sleeps, and I love the way his little mouth forms an "o" when you talk to him, kind of like he is trying to talk back. I love watching everyone ooo and ahhh over him and say how tiny he is and how cute he is, and how much he looks like his daddy. I love watching the pride in dh's face when people say that. I love watching dh interact with him and talk to him. I love watching Minnie around him. She has become very protective of him. She pretty much stays right by him, and if he starts crying and I am in another room, she will come let me know.

Basically, I just love looking at him knowing that God gave me the perfect little person, I have always wanted!

Ok, now you have me crying! lol I am so happy you are enjoying every second with him Leigh. Time goes so fast so these really are the moments to treasure. I used to love the middle of the night feedings, rockings because that was my truly alone time with the baby without any interuptions. My kids all did the 'o' too, so adorable. I loved the way they all said 'ohhh' after every tiny sneeze. lol And as they got a little older, to pick them up when they were sleeping and watch the back curve. We call it the 'curly bum'.
How cool Minnie is already protective. It's amazing what dogs pick up.

Awww, I remember that!!! :tinysmile
Don't remember dd doing the "o" until she was old enough to stand and see herself in a mirror, then she'd "OOOOO" at herself.

Love your description.... I agree.... add it to the baby book. It doesn't take long for them to grow up. You may miss his little kitten cries and chipmunk noises as he grows, but don't worry.... you still have many more years of new amazing moments to enjoy. dd#1 is 14 and still continues to amaze me.
