View Full Version : Halloween Costumes?
Ok, I know some of your kids are too big :bawling: to dress up....
but for the rest of you, what are you dks going to be for Halloween? and do you buy or make thier costumes?
DS will probably be the grim reaper again.....
DD is up in the air....always waits to the last minute....
we buy as I hate sewing...LOL....
dd is talking about trick or treating, but not sure what she is going to go as.

Not too sure what Sarah's going to be yet. I know Dawn's been looking for a certain thing... just can't remember exactly what it is. LOL I've seen a lot of nice/cute ones at garage sales... like new, because of course the kids usually only wear them one evening a year. LOL
I'm hoping we have a lot of kids coming to our house this year. I think last year we probably had more than we've had in a long long time, but we've gotten even more new kids in the neighborhood, so am hoping we'll get even more. I love seeing all the little ones all dressed up. :)

I love helping the kids get costumes ready. I'm not sure if ds3 still wants to be Mario (from Nintendo) or not. That's okay for inside but not going out at night if it's cold. I have a lot of warm, furry costumes he can choose from. Elephant, Pooh bear, horse, lion, can't think of the others. The lion would be cool with a sens jersey on since the Ottawa Senators mascot is a big lion in a Senators jersey, Spartacat. lol
The older boys haven't mentioned anything but I am guessing ds2 will be Darth Vader just because he has a voice changer he loves to play with. lol I love to make costumes, I don't have a sewing machine but it's amazing what you can do with a hot glue gun. lol
My sil called me last week. She has twin boys 3 yrs old. One is going to be a chocolate chip cookie (think she's using fabric and bristol board over hoola hoops) and the other is going to be a glass of milk. Too cute!

Well ds would love to be something involving a chainsaw or large knife, but that's not happening. Something alien/monsterish I'm sure.
I've always wanted to have the boys be something cure for Halloween, but after about age 3, we've usually been Batman, a Power Ranger or the like.

I found out tonight that Sarah is probably going to be a little bee. The costume was handed down to them from Sarah's little cousin who wore it last year. :)

Oldest ds wants to go as an army guy - I got BDU's off of Ebay. :)
Ds2 is wearing the skeleton costume that oldest ds wore 3 yrs in a row. LOL Ds 2 is just thrilled that his brother isn't wearing it and is letting him wear it. :crazyroll
I bought a flower costume at Old Navy for dd, but now I am thinking of making her a Pebbles costume. With her red hair and the little "whale spout" she has gotten many comments of looking like Pebbles, so I thought I could add a bone and come up with a dress. :tinysmile Creative I am not....wish me luck! LOL

Oh... how cute!!! I bet she'll look adorable. :) I just love seeing all the little ones all dressed up so cute when they come to the door. :) They have absolutely no clue why they're all dressed up the way they are... but as long as they're being given candy and some attention, they're as happy as can be. LOL

I was showing ds3 some costumes online yesterday. He needs something that can be worn at school that he can sit in. I came across the Chicka Chicka Boom Boom costume. A tree with all the little letters all over it. He finally agreed. It's going to be so cute. Need to find a brown sweat suit and a hat that I can sew some big palm leaves and coconuts on to. The foam letters should be easy to find. To go trick or treating he has some warm animal costumes including Winnie the Pooh so he can have his pick.
Thinking about this what do you think, at least I could work in it...comfortably
