We have been saving marker lids for a year or so. Actually a mom had asked us to save them as she wanted them for something she was doing with elderly at her job. When she switched jobs we just kept saving them in hopes of finding a use for them.
Anyway, we had some cheap jump ropes with the plastic pieces on them and they would crack and break when the kids jumped with them. So I it occurred to me to drill a hole in the marker lids and slide them onto the rope. It makes a heavier rope, but works great.
Okay so this is probably useless information for most of you, but I'm just so tickled with myself for coming up with an idea, I had to share.
