I love to burn candles, (anything spicy) especially this time of the year. I like Yankee candles and Partylite. Are there any others that are good quality jar candles out there? Just wondering what some of your favorites are?

I love spicy too, Diane. I love Yankee - Spiced Pumpkin and Autumn Wreath but don't splurge and buy them very often.
I simmered whole cloves and cinnamon sticks a week ago and every time dh walked into the house, he commented on how great it smelled. I may just get a mini crock pot and keep some on low....

Depends on what type of candle. Partylite candles are my favorite tealight/votives. I will not burn any other votives. I also love Colonial Homes jar candles and Yankee Candle jar candles. I will also burn their tealights, but will not burn their votives as I do not like how they burn. They aren't as "clean" as Partylite candles are.

As for scents, I burn different candles depending on the season. Right now I'm burning cinnamon, pumpkin, cranberry and apple scents.

I love all kinds of candles, but Yankee are my fav. I do like Partylite too, just haven't been to a party in a while. Speaking of parties I just got invited to one of these... www.bagdaddy.com

Another way to make your house smell yummy is to put some of your liquid fabric softener in a saucepan on low on your stove. You could also put it in your mini crock. That is if you like the smell of your fabric softener!

I personally like things like vanilla, Bayberry, sweeter ones.

I usually stick with yankee candles

But my dad had some and they are great

I love them because theyhave the alumium lid so you can put out your candle without that funny smell.

I love those mulling pots, cute little mini crocks...

Have you tried those scented oils? I think Glade makes them? They look neat

My favs are Yankee. They are (were?) having a Columbus Day sale and many candles were BOGO! :yippee:

I also like "The Barn" candles - I usually find them at a craft show I got to, but have also seen them at Cabela's and online. They are in a mason jar. :)

I have a few scented oil burners that I got at Bath and Body Works this summer during their huge sale. I had a fruity scent for summer and now have a cinnamon something one for fall. I usually just light the tealight for 10 or so minutes and then blow it out and the smell lasts for a long time. The gal at the store gave me that hint bcuz the scent permeates fast and will last long and then you also save on the oil. :)

Vea - I have a little wirey thing that you use to dip the wick into the wax and then pull it back out. It gets the flame out and the wax kills the smoke instantly.
