Observation day for me. Not sure which age groups I'll be with today, but I'm excited. I realized yesterday just how much I miss working at the dental clinic and how much I miss my job there. I can't imagine volunteering forever just so I can work there, but I really did love that job. Hopefully the next 3 1/2 year will go by quickly so that I can find another dental job.

Jen, if you sign on to work at the center, you have to make a 3.5 year commitment? You can't apply for any other job???

work, laundry, errands...gee, seeing a pattern here?
we are going tomorrow to see the inlaws for the weekend. haven't been there in a while and we are celebrating Thanksgiving now. My brother and his family are coming in for Thanksgiving and I have seen them in 3 years, so it was either see the inlaws early or not at all. This is the only free weekend the kids have till almost Christmas.

Jen-do they have refresher courses so you can stay current on your training while you are not in the field?
Ann-boy you are going to have a full holiday season!

I volunteer at ds's class today. I'm not sure what I will do for the rest of my time. I think I will at least hit the library.

Back to work today. Didn't sleep the best last night since dh isn't here. They left around 7ish last night and had a 4.5 hr. drive.... I just hope they got there okay.

Dd has girls' golf tonight (not last night like I thought) and her scout troop Halloween party tonight -it'll be a late night for her.

Dd's stopping by quick on her way home from work to pick up the tape of LOST that I recorded for her/Bob last night. Dh's got his networking meeting early this morning... and I'm getting Sarah at 11:00 today, so I've got to get most of what I need done right away this morning so I can spend some one on one time with her. :) Not too sure what the weather holds for us today... seems pretty noneventful out there right now. :) If it's nice enough I'm sure we'll end up at the park.

Not much else planned... hope you all have a great day.

Laundry, will it ever end? Not sure what the rest of the day holds. Went to euchre last night, was so much fun. So many people welcomed me back with congrats, a lot I haven't seen since the middle of summer. I really missed going for so long. Of course I fell asleep watching Lost last night and missed Jericho. Hope I can find them sometime this weekend.
Hope you all have a good day :)

nothing major here...Think I'll go to the store and see if I can find dbf's Birthday gift....I'm at a loss.

Been looking online but can't think of anything...my moneys tight right now. And he's aware of that so he'll be upset if I spend much...I may go get him some sweaters for work. He's running low on those.

Dd2 just woke up so we're going to get a head start on schoolwork! :) She has an hour before she goes to mil's for math, so we should be able to get spelling and science done, maybe some reading for history. She'll have history to finish when she gets back and language arts. We want to look for a coat for her when we pick ds2 up from preschool.

General cleaning today to get the house ready for care group kids. Laundry is more than usual because of the seasonal switch. Yuck.

Jen, maybe you'll eventually be able to find work with a pediatric dentist and have the best of both worlds!

Ann, I hope you have a peaceful, uneventful weekend with the inlaws.

Diane, did you get snow last week? My niece said that they got some in Woodbury and we were begging her to send it our way!

Mel, nope, laundry never ends, lol. I've named my laundry pile Mt. Neverest.

Edited to add: last night was uneventful and I slept like the dead! Thankfully no boogey man came to disturb me (or the dog, lol)

I didn't sleep well last night, so it's a good thing I got to sleep until 9:30 this morning! The kids are off for fall break and brichard got up quietly and left for work, sweet man!

We were going to go to the zoo for ZOOBOO but it's rainy so we'll do that another day. I think it is a great day to just stay in my jammies!! Although I really want to go rent The Break Up. We'll see...

Have a great day!!

I guess I didn't state what I wanted to say correctly... I have 3 1/2 years before we leave here. Then I will have a better chance at getting a dental job. They are very limited here. I can apply for jobs now, I'm not committed to this job at all. If something comes up, believe me I will be applying.

I observed in the baby room and the preschool rooms today. I just reminded my why I have stayed away from centers for the past 11 years and why I did home day care instead. I will stick with it and I hope and pray I get to work with the babies. We'll see how everything turns out. For now it's a paycheck and I really do like being around kids.

Pam- my goal when we get back to the states is to try and find a job with a pediatric dentist.

Amy- no, they don't offer refresher courses. If I knew I was only going to be working say 3-4 days a week, I would consider volunteering 1-2 days a week to keep my skills current. I don't know if that would be possible though. It might be something to look into.

home early, something go me, and well...I was running to the bathroom every few minutes for 20 minutes, decided, that was enough....home to rest...and use my own bathroom....oh what is all this about....got my period, so I am not sure if the cramps helped the rest of my intestines or what...but being at work with that kind of thing isn't pretty.....

kids are in the living room....going to lay down, and nap until dinner time....

Jen, where will you go next do you know? Stateside?
