View Full Version : Still losing
I went to the doctors today and I've lost another 2 pounds. I went to Wal-mart and bought 2 new pairs of shorts for camp. A size smaller - yeah! I did make the mistake; however, of trying on a new bathing suit. :bigcry: It fit fine, and I should have been happy, but the cellulite is still there.

Kat,
I'm dieting too, maybe we can encourage each other. Got any great tips? I'm just trying to cut out snacking and I'm exercising as much as I can. I don't want to be too hungry cuz then I get really short tempered, and I've got all three of the boys home with me all day!

Donna, I wish I did have some great tips for you, but you know them all already. I feel like I'm cheating anyway. I am taking Meridia. Huge risk of diabetes in my family. Great GP's, GP's, mom, aunt, sister, cousin. I check my sugar all the time and so far so good, but the weight was slowly getting out of control. When my younger sister was diagnosed this year, I knew it was time for me to eliminate one risk factor. Anyway they have been very helpful. I was off them for about 2 and a half months to see if I could maintain my loss. I was thrilled to learn I had even lost 2 more pounds. I did get a refill today with summer and vacations and reunions - too much temptation. They are expensive and not covered under insurance.
Anyway, I'll cheer for your success and you can cheer for mine. It's a battle.

Good for you. I would love to get rid of 5 or 10 pounds but to be honest I don't do anything about it but wish! LOL I don't exercise, well, maybe once a week which isn't enough and I do walk to pick up the kids but it's only 1 block away. Do you all go to workout at a gym or at home? What has been the most beneficial exercise of all?

I work out at home. We bought a home gym basically. It consists of a universal weight machine, a bench, squat bar, and dumbells. We also bought an elliptical trainer that I run on, however now that the gorgeous mornings are here I walk early in the am. I work out 6 days a week and alternate between weights and cardio.
I walk at least 20 minutes on a treadmill but it's more for my lower back pain, I'd hardly say it was aerobic. I read at the same time, so I can't walk to fast. I also like Tae-bo, but just haven't got into that habit yet. I prefer to work out at home. Ocassionally ladies at church or school will get together, but I'd never pay to go to a gym.
congradulations.....I agree who needs a bathing suit... not me, not yet.....how fun that your able to buy new shorts.....keep at it, you sound like your doing great.....
