My 2 best recipes are Chicken Parmesan and White Chocolate Cheese Cake. Chicken Parmesan is the only thing that I make that everybody just loves. It's really time consuming though, and I'm a really slow cook, so I don't make it too often anymore. I made it last night and by the time I pounded all the chicken breasts, breaded and fried them, made the sauce, baked it and made a salad, it was 2 hours later when we ate! Well, I did make a double batch, so that added to the time. At least next time I've got most of the work done. Hope it tastes as good out of the freezer.

The best thing I make, IMHO, is a fabulous triple layer homemade from scratch chocolate cake. The layers have skor bits between them and it is iced with homemade iced frosting and has chocolate curls on the top. Not only is it spectacular looking, it is totally decadent!!! Oh, my mouth is watering now, lol!

I'm not sure what I make the best. It seems not matter what I make dh will say, it doesn't take like his grandma's. GRR! :(
I'm most proud now that I've figured out how to make strawberry pie. I kind of cheat though LOL. I buy a graham cracker crust. Put the strawberries in it. Then I mix up a fruit pudding I found in the store called Danish Dessert. Pour it over the berries. Chill and put cream on top to serve. My mom makes the pie glaze from scratch but I can never get it to set.

Okay gals - you can't talk about these things without sharing the recipes!!
Favs here that come to mind first are Chicken Supreme (bacon wrapped chicken layed on top of dried beef with a creamy sauce.) and Choc Chip cheesecake. :licklips:

All this talk about cheesecake is making me hungry. Where can you find a good peice of cheesecake at 10:30 at night? Craving of the day ~~~ anything gooey, rich and packed with calories!!!!
Don't know what my best recipe would be...... cooking isn't one of my favorite activities, but I get by....
Let me think about it and I'll get back to you.

I love swiss steak and can make a good pot. I like my mothers stew but she likes mine. Trust me, hers is way better. lol And I can't make it, no matter how hard I try. I can't wait to get there this summer, I will get to eat all my fav. foods for 3 weeks. lol
I like my shepard's pie but dh doesn't care for that kind of thing so I don't make it often.
The one thing that I got so many raves about is my ham. Everyone in dh's family always made a ham with the bone in and no glaze. But in my family it was always with a glaze and pineapple. So when they all tasted my ham (okay, my mom's recipe, lol) they couldn't get enough. I was surprised at how much my fil loved it. :)
As for baking, I don't like to bake so the best thing I make is a chocolate cake. The recipe is real simple too, just add eggs and milk or water and a bit of oil to the packaged batter, beat and bake.

Next time you make it try adding a package of chocolate pudding and a cup of mini choc chips to the batter. Pour it into a bundt pan.....:licklips: It's so yummy and moist - a definite fav here - I don't even frost it.
Reservations! No seriously, I love to cook in the summer when I have more time to devote to time honored recipes. I love the chicken supreme like Karla mentioned. People always say things taste better when somebody else makes it, but I like my cooking. I wasn't sure my dh did for the longest time until we were in a His Needs, Her Needs marriage class a couple of years ago. He's originally from the Chicago area and he really didn't like "southern cooking". Well that's all I know. I'd make something and he'd say it was decent. I thought he meant, "it was ok and would pass for food". During the marriage class he told everyone what a good cook I was. It seems his meaning for the word "decent" and my meaning were two different meanings.
Not real big on desserts though. I do like to make inside out cakes. Everything including the frosting is mixed together and baked in a bundt pan. Very moist.

Dh and I make homemade pizza together. Dh also really likes my flavored cappuccinos. (I used to work in a coffee shop when we were dating so it is sort of tradition too.)
