Need to hurry up and get in the shower/dressed. Ds1 has a bb game this am. It's a volunteer game since it's for training the referees. Pick him up again at noon. No other big plans today. I told ds1 he could have a friend sleep over. I'm sure ds2 will wind up with one as well. I don't mind, they haven't since the summer and haven't seen too much of their friends lately because of sports and school. Dh and I are going to watch a movie tonight, no idea which one yet.

couldn't sleep..the house is quiet, it is 6:15 am.... I have a busy day, so these moments of silence are golden. Hair appt at 11 for dh and myself....dd has basket ball practice at 2:30 PM (her first practice I might add) She is nervous and excited...one of her friends is on her teams so she will be tickled, No I don't think mentioned it to her....it will be a good surprise.
I have major house cleaning and laundry to do...Dog need to get to the vet at some point too...dh is going to see to that....still not feeling great poor thing....
I want to hit Linen's and Things or Bed Bath and Beyond to this weekend...I need to get somethings for the Conference room at work, and I was told to get some frames and wall decor...LOL....My furniture came yesterday, so Monday when everyone is at this huge outta town meeting, that I have been working my tail off for, I will have it all moved in and the other things moved out...I am excited....I can't believe how different things are for me now....who would have guessed how happy I would be. I have way more responsibility, but I have RESPECT too....its nice...
Need to get a forsale sign for my VAN...dh is going to drive it next week down to Santa Ana and try and sell it....I get to drive his little car.....I hope it sells quickly....we sold our truck this way for cash, in three days, that would be a great Christmas present for me.....

bb is baseball or basketball? LOL....A movie alone sounds fun....DH rented MI3 for us...I hope its good...Not a Tom Cruise fan, but the MISSION IMPOSSIBLES are at least action packed...
Tonight I actually have to get gussied up to go to an induction ceremony. One of my Brother's best friends is getting inducted into the Hall of Fame at my old college. The bittersweetness of it is that he is dying of cancer. He stopped treatment and supposedly only has a few months to live. :( This will probably be the last time anyone sees him alive again. This is the same crazy guy who called me up and TOLD me that he wants to come to my wedding. I was like :tounge: and he actually went behind my back and went straight to my Mom and begged her for an invite. LOL Needless to say, he came to my wedding and even braved the blizzard to be there.
That is bittersweet Amy!
Today my son is 17!!! wow..where did the time go? I remember getting the phone call that he was mine like it was yesterday.
We always go have catfish for his birthday, so we are meeting my dad and his wife at 1. One of ds' friends has been joining us for 6 years for the lunch, so he comes too. Tonite, sometime after the hs football game, about 20 kids (boys and girls) are coming over for cake. Then they are going to play soccer up at the church and then sometime (maybe midnight??? nothing like vague plans! LOL) the boys (16) are coming back here for an all night HALO tournament. They have set up tvs in the dining room, playroom, den and DS's room.
DD is going to go with the church girls group to feed the homeless and then go vintage clothes shopping. she is then being banned from the house and had to beg for some place to sleep tonite! LOL

Up at the crack of dawn with dd. Have laundry started and ds2 wants to go to Target, so we're gonna head out in a bit. :) Olive Garden opened a couple of weeks ago and I want to eat there tonight if the wait is finally under an hour and a half. :crazyroll

Ann, Happy Birthday to ds! :Party: 17! Holy Cow time flies too fast. If I was dd, I would have wanted to stay home with all those cute boys hangin' around! rofl I was a tad boy crazy as a preteen, young teen, older teen. It was great, 2 older brothers and always a houseful of cute guys! LOL
Renee, bb=basketball. I went to Tim Hortons to get some donuts and the line up for drive through was nuts. So, fine, take the two younger boys in with me. Still a big line up but faster than the drive through. Someone said it's always that busy. Man, I should open one up in my town! LOL The sweetest veteran was in there selling poppies. I get so emotional this time of year and always get choked up when saying thank you to them. I feel dorky but can't help it, just thinking about it and the tears come. Someone decided to have a basketball game for ds1 on the morning of Nov. 11. Um, hello!!! grrr, it better be over soon enough for me to get the kids to the Cenetaph in time.

It felt good to sleep in this morning. We didn't climb out of bed until almost 8:30. :) The sun is shining... it's suppose to get up to at least 50 today, so we'll probably be outside most of the day raking the yard. We have to get to SAM's some time today... then back home for some relaxation.

Gotta get the laundry under control, clean the house, take dd shopping for a friend's b'day gift and get her packed. She leaves tomorrow for -www.greatwolflodge.com/Locations/Williamsburg/
A friend of hers is doing this for her b'day party. They went last year and had such a blast, they're going again. She'll be home sometime Monday afternoon.

They must be GREAT donuts!!! LOL I hope the game will be over with early so you'll be able to get the kids there on time. :)

WOW when did we all find this place...mine were little, dd was in diapers still I do know that because I remember posting about homemade wipes....
I think I'm ditching my NaNo story this year. :bawling: It's so lame I don't want to do anymore, lol! Maybe I'll switch to a children's book and forget the 50,000 word count. Dd is bummed, but is still planning on doing hers. Since I don't have the word quota hanging over my head I may get some housework done today! :yippee: :lol: No other plans that I know of.

I found this site through a flyer that I received in the mail. Don't know through who... but I'm glad I got it otherwise I might not ever have found this place. LOL

Or actually good afternoon.....Man I slept in. DBF left for pratice at 7 this morning and I said I'm going to try to go back to sleep which I never can do. Well I did.
Just doing some cleaning around here...Then tonight We have an auction Dinner for school so we get all dressed up and butter up parents...LOL. Should be fun. Gonna try not to bid much....I'm broke!

Karla, any time for a nap today?? :).
I went shopping all day instead!! Ran into a friend at the mall and she commented on all of the bags I was carrying - she thought I was Christmas shopping....but I wasn't! :D I had a couple of great coupons for Bath and Body Works and Yankee, so I got a few treats for me. :yippee: Got the boys some tees at American Eagle for $4.95 and $6.95 each. Oldest ds could care less about the name on them (YAY!!), he just thinks they are so comfy. :) Trying to think, what else I bought, but of course I am blanking. LOL Oldest ds actually shopped with me for a while and that was fun. He ditched me when we ran into one of his friends though and he got invited to go over there. Nothing plannedc for tonight - think we'll make it a movie night once we pick up ds.

Lucky you that you got to head out of work early!! Our mall was a complete zoo today! I coud not believe all of the people there and it was gorgeous outside!!!

I had a friend who started dating and eventually ending up marrying one of her brother's best friends. Her brother and this guy had been friends since elementary school, and her brother was none too happy when she/he started noticing each other. I thought it was funny how protective he was of his little sister, but still trying to maintain his friendship with his best friend. After they were married he told us how he had been backed into a corner and told that if he ever did anything to hurt is little sister... he'd have to answer to him about it. LOL Sometimes I think it would have been a lot more interesting having a big/older brother than a sister. LOL

I totally hear what your ds is daying....
my brother is three years older, and believe me his friends were always good crushes, until I was a jr. in High School...then they started noticing me...LOL...my brother was less than thrilled...Never did date one as I got older they became second brothers, actually had two at my wedding...
