Hi there,

Just got back from a month visiting family and friends in California and am trying to pull together a very small pool/birthday party (at dinner time) for my now 2yr old dd and a 2yr old friend (it's a complicated story). At any rate, I need to take something I think the dks would eat (4 total). I am thinking mac and cheese and maybe some type of meat dish, like sloppy joes, or burgers, or hot dogs, along those lines. But I need to be able to transport it (i.e., no BBQ'ing). I've got the snacks covered. There will be 6 adults, but we will probably eat the other mom's wonderful ethnic food!

Any ideas? I'm not having luck finding recipes and haven't attended a lot of parties.

Thanks!!

Sloppy Joe's are a great idea but are extremely hard for 2 year olds to handle/eat... too sloppy. LOL Hot dog's are also another idea but if you do... make sure that all of the kids are being well supervised so nobody chokes. You could also do something like Taco's or Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwiches??? LOL (all of my dck's that age LOVE peanut butter and jelly... big hit) Cold cuts/cheese cut into different shapes using cookie cutters... buns. I hope you can find something that works well for you. :)
