UP and showered, I need to eat and actually get ready. Only supposed to work until noon today and I have parent/teacher conference this afternoon. Need to hit the grocery store as well. Have a ton of Christmas presents to wrap. I'm done shopping, I just have to wait for all the packages to arrive so I can wrap it all. Yesterday was a big day with 4 packages. Found out the first week of December I'll be in the infant room. Not sure if it's permanent or just so I'll shut up. The director is gone again so I can't ask her. Oh well.
Good Luck today Jen! Change is scary, but sometimes really good. Let us know how it goes.
work till 11. dd has voice this afternoon and then we are getting her haircut. anyone see the cover of Glamour with Sandra Bullock on it? that's how she wants to get her haircut. heck, that's the color i want my hair! LOL

Gotta work at preschool, talk to the director to see when she'd let me out of my contract if I am offered the position (the principal wanted to know that yesterday) then tell my teacher... I may wait on that and see if I get an offer.
Dh has a church meeting, dd has scout skate night so I'll have some home alone time tonight. ahhhh...

Ann, you have me curious, will have to look for the picture. I am thinking of going darker but won't get it done yet. I promised myself that I wouldn't do a thing until I was no longer pregnant. Don't think you are supposed to because of chemicals anyhow and my hair needs the break. Was eyeing up ds3's hair in the sun the other day, sunny light brown with red highlights. lol I don't learn.

Light day of schoolwork today. :D Heavy day of cleaning. :rolleyes: Dd1 is going to the gaslight theater this afternoon with mil and fil. Ds2 has a Thanksgiving program tonight. Hopefully he'll remember the words to the songs since he wasn't in school at all last week. He has been sooo tired lately. He fell asleep on the couch at 6:30 last night and we put him to bed. So far he's been sleeping for 12 1/2 hours and still no peep out of him! 8o Guess he needed the extra sleep, eh? :lol:

MORNING ALL!
up showered, dd is up and showered too...werid...not going to question it thought. Made chicken and rice last night and its all gone....family likes that one.
1 can chicken broth
1 can cream of chicken soup
four frozen skinless boneless chicken breasts
cracked pepper
poultry seasoning
dried parsely for color
celery seeds (just a sprinkle)
I added a cup of rice about 30 minutes before we were going to eat.
ITS GONE!
I spoke with my boss, I have the week in the summer I want off, no problem.
Just looking into the availability of the beach house now.
I am almost done with the Chirstmas shopping :stocking:
Feeling great, never got any exercise in yesterday unless cleaning this house passes, did lots of laundry, on going at my house. Cleaned the kitchen and bathrooms.
I broke a nail this morning getting into my makeup brushes....snapped the darn thing right off...never done that before...OUCH....

I got all my food shopping done yesterday... got my refridgerator cleaned but still have the freezer side to do. I want to make enugh room for Thanksgiving leftover's. I've still got to dig out my big turkey platter and make sure that's readily available. I'm really getting excited about having everyone over for Thanksgiving... :)
I've already made the bed, coffee... have washed and folded a load of clothes and threw some more in. I don't have too much to do. Dd #2 called yesterday to see what I was doing. She took the week off from work and was already bored. LOL She wanted to come over/go out for lunch but I was right in the middle of cleaning out my refridgerator and didn't want to throw it all back in and start all over, so she's coming over today instead. I don't know where we'll end up for lunch... we'll see. She's going to bring over some of her beads/beading projects to show me. She had some earrings on that she had made over at Sarah's birthday party and they were just beautiful. I can't believe how cheap it is to make your own jewelry... and it doesn't look cheap at all. :) I'm thinking I "might" try making a few pieces just to see if it's something I'd like to do.

Mel-I always thought you would look great with light brown hair. Just remember if you go darker, you will have natural highlights from your current color being so light (after it rinses out a bit).
The kids only have half day today. Why bother even going in? LOL I guess it is a good excuse to have a holiday party. Ds starts karate tonight for the first time. We are really trying to up his physical activity. He is my couch potato. :) I am also 3/4 done with cleaning the downstairs. I only have to clean the powder room and mop its floor and the hallway floors. For some reason, it just doesn't sound appealing. LOL

Sometimes I wish I wasn't always so motived. :rolleyes: I have a hard time sitting still... I've gotta be up doing something all the time. LOL No one could ever accuse me of being lazy... that's for sure. :)

Thanks. The natural color now is much darker than it was years ago. But it's not a nice brown. I like ds's though. But I would need those 'sunny' highlights but am afraid of the red highlights because my hair goes brassy fast and it will go pink, like it did 2 yrs ago. Guess I have a few months to think on it.
Hope ds loves the class tonight. I took karate in grade 8 for a while. I stopped going when it was time for my yellow belt. Something about being kicked or hit I didn't like. ? LOL If he's not crazy about the physical contact, there isn't any in TaeKwon Do until the much higher belts.

Oh, Lord one year mine was literally orange. I had to come to school like that for a couple of days. Our school colors are orange and black. I laughed it off and said I had school spirit.
Last day of school! Five days off and I don't have to cook for Thanksgiving. I do have to make a couple of things so that ds can survive while dh and I are in Kansas. I got a rude awakening this morning. I got my coffee (that I got extra hot in the microwave). Sat down in the living room with my Bible. Took a sip. Looked up my scripture reading for today. Reached to get my coffee, got it right to my lips and the handle broke off. Scalding hot coffee all over, me, the Bible, and the sofa. Thank goodness I was wearing heavy jeans. Still had a big red scald mark on my hip. What a mess! I wonder if I can "sue" somebody for scalding coffee: the cup maker or the microwave making because surely it wasn't my fault. I had to remember the lady who sued McDonalds and as a result they lowered the temp of their coffee.
Well that was one way to "wake up" but I don't recommend it.
Was so proud to have my lesson plans all typed up for next week. Get to school this morning and there's a schedule change for title 1 students (of which most of mine are). Now I have to go back and rework my plans and my template. Grrrrrrrrrrr!

What a nasty afternoon. It's ccccold and started raining, yuck.
Had my interview @ one of the elementary schools and got home to a message from the principal @ the middle school I applied at. It's a special ed aide position and the teacher is a friend of mine that I go to church with.
I really really really want one particular elementary school to call... I really have my eggs in that basket. It'd work out much better for next year than the other schools. Oh well. We'll wait and see!
Gotta get homework done as it's skate night and since ballet is cancelled tonight, dd gets to go!

yep, i would say more brown with golden and auburn highlights.
not sure if i am going to just have some darker brown and auburn highlights added in or go for all over.

OMG Kat... I hope you're okay. I did that once and burned myself pretty bad. (a bowl of sloppy joe mix fell out of my microwave all over me) I remember the burning/pain... Take care of yourself... (((KAT))) I think it's a good thing you've got 5 day's off... you deserve them!! Enjoy your time off.

Busy at work......then rushed home to get kids and take them to practice....went and had my nail fixed....ran to Sam's club to get rolls for Thanksgiving, and yes I bought PIES, I just don't have the time to cook them and then travel with them for over an hour in the car...got three pumpkin four containers of Cool whip....3 apple pies, dad said he has tubs of ice cream.
I am beat...scarfed down a bean and cheese burrito at Del Taco.

i did, i like it. it's back to my 'normal..whatever the hell that is' shade of hair color. it's not as highlighted looking as before..this might even pass off as natural! LOL
dd's hair looks darling but she wasn't all that pleased. the gal blew dry it really straight so dd didn't think the cut was the same. i kept telling her it was just the way it was blown dry, but she wouldn't listen. kind of made sure everyone knew she was unhappy too. :rolleyes: we got home. i fixed it and it looked just like the picture and she said it was too poofy. so she went in to use the curling iron and came back with big old 70's farrah fawcett type wings and was so pleased!! LOL i thought it looked silly but she was happy.

Biggest turnover we have is for special ed. aides. Super demading. My sister started out as an aide in elem and now teaches spec. ed at the high school. Hope you get what you want.

Really cute. My sister's hair is that color and goes past her bottom. I've found that the "messy, looks like you just got out of bed look" takes more time to achieve than a styled look, but then my hair is contrary.

I told dh I'm a sick individual - I don't worry about not getting a new job, I worry about getting a new job. I don't like change like that....
I feel okay with my interview. I already know 1 secretary, 1 teacher and 1 aide at that elementary school. They asked scenario questions, asked me to rate myself in several catagories, etc. etc.
I was the 1st interview for that job and there were 5 more go to interview.
I left a message with the principal of the middle school and I just hope everytime the phone rings, it's the principal of the elem. school I want. :)
I won't hear anything until interviews are over and the principals make their recommendations to the county. The county reviews them, calls the applicant, discusses the job (again) and pay package and makes the official offer. It could take a little while.
