,Need to finish cleaning that I didn't get done yesterday. Laundry to do and some errands around town. Later I will make some cupcakes for the church bake sale in the morning. I found some foil cups shaped like stars, more like mini cakes than cupcakes. Will decorate those and bring a pile over. I plan on stocking up on homemade pies when I go tomorrow. They have some frozen too so they can just go straight into my freezer. I don't like baking much so this kind of thing is perfect for me. :)

Work, which I am actually looking forward too...yesterday just felt like a waste of a day. It should be a ghost town since most people took thier floating holiday today...I have lots to do and it should be a productive day. Dh and the kids might come by to take me to lunch, since I haven't had a decent meal in over 24 hours....:lol: (they really just want to come see where I work and get a free ICEE...) :rolleyes:

I have my brother and his boys coming over tomorrow for another stab at Thanksgiving. Ok I am ready for Christmas, all this Thanksgiving drama and got me in the mood for Christmas. :tree: :stocking:

well, at least here it is ;) got the creole in the crockpot. gonna take some leftovers up to the store around 11, and get the house cleaned and table set for tonite. dd is going to the zoo with her cousins. she had such a great time with them yesterday and ds was even participating and charming (hope he can keep it up for one more day! LOL)

oh..a funny about yesterday. and i really wasn't trying to be snotty. sm was looking at my sweet potatoes, which really came out cool and was asking how i made them. telling her and she said 'did you use canned?" i said no, fresh and just baked them. and she said 'well, oh excuse me, miss gourmet, i've only used canned!" (she was laughing) i honestly didn't realize they came from a can!

Dh and I just got home from running what seemed like a million errands. Finished up our Christmas shopping for the kids. Now I need to wrap all those. Went to the post office and got the last of the gifts mailed off (dd made Christmas ornaments for everyone at the last minute, so those needed to be mailed) and got all my Christmas cards mailed. Feel like a load has been lifted now that that is done. Survivor for us tonight and just relaxing. The kids have the tree decorated and I need to get the rest of the house done, but will have that done today as well.

they just got here Wednesday and they did fly all the way from CA so, yep they are still here ;) they leave tomorrow. (they have actually been in TX since Monday, but did some sightseeing and a little business for my brother in San Antonio first.

Jen, congrats on getting Christmas DONE! I'm still stuck for ideas on a few folks and of course, dh waits to the very LAST MINUTE for his brothers... grrr.

Anyway, (I wrote all this on the T'giving thread) we're putting the tree up today so I need to get cleaning and on to the piled up laundry. Will probably go visit mil/fil tonight and see how the arrangements for dh's unlce are going.

Not much on my agenda today. Dh is home today, is out mowing the lawn... probably for the last time this year. It's gorgeous today, is suppose to get up into the 60's. I'm hoping we'll be able to take our bikes out for a while, but not too sure about that yet. Dh and I are going out a little later to eat, maybe stopping over at Wal Mart then back home to watch some tv. After running around all day yesterday with dinner and all... I'm enjoying being able to sit and relax a little today. Even though I swore I wouldn't be able to eat turkey for another week or two, I'm off to make myself a leftover turkey sandwich. :) LOL Hope you all have a great day.

Great day, got tons done, kids and dh came by and took me to lunch...we had a nice time, they came in for a tour. I am beat, plan on having a quiet evening at home. Movies, DH rented the "Producers" I hope its good.

I never realize just how much I count on my computer to keep me busy until something like that happens and I don't have it. 8o Very frustrating!!!

Went to Canadian Tire to get a deal advertised for 7pm only. It was a sewing machine on for 55% off. I got through a huge line up for it and when there were only 6 people left ahead of me they ran out. :bawling: Bummer. Maybe another deal will come up somewhere soon.
On the way home I stopped where the boys and dh were for the neighbours dd's b-day party. It was at a bed and breakfast with an indoor pool in our town. Very neat, they have the run of the house, the pool at any time, will provide a life guard for a certain amount of time and you still get breakfast made. And for a pretty good price too. I already booked ds2's b-day in March. Nice to have a big sleepover and the clean up is nill. :)
