View Full Version : Tuesday
Home from the Dr and running a bunch of errands. She says they are tension headaches that could turn into migraines if I'm not careful. She gave me some meds to take each and every time I feel one coming on. I'm not supposed to wait to see if it's a bad headache. We'll see if this helps. Have a bunch of stuff to do around the house, but I might try and sneak in a nap before the kids get home from school.
My to do list today is full of things I've been putting off doing. Sounds like fun. Dh is picking up our friend's daughter at the airport in Tucson, so he'll be home a bit late. Need to figure out something chicken to throw in the crockpot. Do you think I could cook the chicken most of the day and then add in mushrooms and asparagus later? I don't want the asparagus to be mushy though, so maybe I'd better just cook it by itself.
Ds2 woke up around 3:00, saying his tummy hurt. I'm not sure how he'll feel when he wakes up, but hopefully he'll still be able to make it to school.
Still having dsl problems. It makes no sense, because it's early morning (around 5-ish) and at night (around 9 or so). Sometimes it gives me grief in mid-day, but not always. Poor dh hates to call tech support because they all make him run through the same diagnostics instead of reading the previous tech's notes. *sigh*
Jen, I'm glad you got some answers from the doc! What meds did she put you on? I hated having to take something for a bad headache before I knew if it was bad or not, lol, but the meds do work better if you do. Hopefully you can stop the cycle before they hit the migraine stage.

Jen, hope you get the headaches under control.
Pam, hope ds2 is feeling better and your dsl problems are figured out.
Going to wash the kitchen floor this am and get a few other things done. After I take ds3 to school I am going to boogie over to ToysRUs to get some shopping done. It's a race because it's about a half hour drive to get there and I only have 2 hours to be back in time to get ds3 at school. Today is a good day though, ds1 is going to phone me after school and tell me if he can go to school to get him. If that's the case, I don't have to hurry home as much and if I'm not here for a half hour to an hour, no biggie. I want to make as few trips as possible and would love to be done by the weekend so I'm not doing the mad last minute rush. Well, that's the plan, knowing me, I will still be shopping end of next week. LOL
Hope you all have a good day :)
Jen-take some yoga! That will help the tension level too.
Pam-My DSL problems in the past are one of 2 things. 1). Check your startup menu. Do you have a ton of programs that boot up when you start your computer? Dh and I realized once that everything we had downloaded in the past booted and ran and bogged everything down. 2). The DSL lines or modem is faulty. We just had our fixed because it would run for 3 minutes 3 times a day. RME! The cable guy came out and changed the modem and said the connectors and lines weren't getting the power.
I am such a sloth this morning. My only choice is to pick up the house, empty the dishwasher or sit on the computer and try and amuse myself--guess which one I am picking? It is actually quite pathetic that I am using the computer as an excuse to actually get something accomplished.
If I can get off my big butt, I called dh, who should be home before noon, and told him he is mine for the afternoon. I want to do lunch, finish up Christmas shopping and basically hang out together without the kids yapping and complaining. LOL We will see how motivated he is to rush home just so we can shop and troll around the stores.

Tuesday already..I can't believe its almost Christmas :tree:
Yesterday after work I picked up the kids and we hit the supermarket...My cupboards were bare, even the light bulb in the fridge was burned out! $303.00 later, Kids and I unloaded my car full of groceries....WOW, I haven't spent that much in a long time.....feels good to have food in the house...making chicken fried steak tonight with Mashed potatoes and Green beans the kids are so excited.....LOL
I ran to Big 5 Sporting good store at lunch yesterday and got dh a riding backpack, it holds water, so your not fooling around with your bottle...kinda cool, his doctors told him that cycling was better for his legs than running.
I still have to wrap most everything, but I feel good that I have it all bought.
Oh Secret Santa a work got me a John Grishm book, tons of Candy Canes, which I love, almond roca, and a funky pen...I got my person a Nutcraker...today she gets Starbucks Ornaments...this goes on until Friday when we have the last gift but we do that in a circle and we all try to guess who our secret santa was....object is not to get caught playing :xmas: Santa...its been really fun. The Co. is really a FUN environment, even though yesterday was a blurr...BUSY BUSY BUSY.....

Home alone today. (so far... LOL) I've got to scrub the kitchen and hallway floors, plus I have some laundry to do. I should probably do some dusting too. :) Will probably run out to Hallmark again. I neglected to get a special "Mother" card for my/dh's mom's... also a few aunts who always get special "nephew and his wife" cards for us. Seeing I'm getting so many more cards I might pick up another Very Merry Trio for my mom or for Sarah, who had a blast playing with mine while she was here yesterday. LOL We've still got to put our tree up but probably won't get to that until the weekend. I'm kind of anxious to get it up but yet dreading it too. It takes up so much room, which of course means having to shift and or take furniture out. Ugh... I wish my livingroom were at least 5 feet bigger. LOL
Not much else. Hope you all have a great day today!
