I have a lot to do today. I have the day off. Dd and I both have Dr's appts today. I have a bunch of errands to run to. I should burn a sh!tload of gas today as I have to run to 4 different bases. I wonder how many miles total I will drive today. Anyway, besides driving all over the place it shouldn't be too bad as the times are pretty far apart so I shouldn't be rushed at all. Dh and I are even going to go out to lunch together.

Ann- how are you feeling? I'm surprised they didn't make you see a Dr after you fell.

still sore. not even sure if the shift on duty turned in the incident report.

work till 10. ds' tutor is coming today. i did get kind of tickled at myself yesterday. as you know, i wasn't in a very good mood. i get am email from ds' counselor forwarding an email from his art teacher saying he needed to turn something in by noon friday. this is the same teacher who when contacted by his homebound teacher last Friday was insistant that all his work be turned in by noon tomorrow. i just lost it. i emailed back 'is this in addition to all the other work she has due for Friday? what part of homebound does this teacher not understand!' get a copy of a much better worded email from his homebound teacher gently explaining again to this art teacher homebound and an email to me from both the homebound teacher and counselor asking 'are you ok??' LOL
no..just have a nervous breakdown and you?
emailed back..'sorry, having a bad day'.

How does the Homebound program work, Ann. Is it expected that he complete the same projects/curriculum as the students in the traditional classroom?? Are his due dates the same?? Does his tutor work with him on all of his subjects...or is he kind of left on his own (self-paced??)? Just curious!

Up early again... dh has his networking meeting this morning. I've got the rest of the house to get to. I don't know what I've been doing lately, I've been very busy... but just don't feel like I'm getting anywhere. LOL I still haven't gotten the tree up... decided to wait on that until dh can help me over the weekend. It will be nice to get it up. Anyone elsle not get their tree up yet? I feel like I'm the only one. LOL

Finishing up my cards today and hoping to get those out in the mail. Just have a few more letters to write and that's it. I haven't gotten too many cards yet this year... so maybe I'm not the only one procrastinating. LOL

Not much on my agenda. Good tv tonight, I hope... if they're not all reruns. Don't know where Desperate Housewives went, it hasn't been on in a while. Too much show shifting lately... LOL

Hope you all have a great day!

Don't feel bad Diane - I just got my tree decorated yesterday. It finally looks like Christmas around here!

Dh and my Christmas party is tonight. I'm excited - I think its going to be a good one! Just have 2 kids to see today. I cancelled my afternoon (it was only 3 kids anyway) so now I have time to go get my nails done.

Hope everyone has a great Thursday!

Ds3 is off. He zonked on the chair last night, he slept on the sofa for about an hour, maybe hour and half. Woke up real grumpy and clingy to me. He wouldn't go to his bed last night, had to be with me so he slept in my bed all night, still there. He is coughing a little more in the last couple of days so I hope he isn't coming down with something, dh is starting too. Good weather so I'm opening all the windows later.
Ds1 is in the band and they are playing the music for a play today. It's at 9 so I need to boogie my butt, since it's before school for ds2 he gets to go and skip the morning off school.
Not sure what's up this afternoon, maybe more shopping while I can. Hope you all have a good day :)

I hope your ds feels better when he wakes up this morning. Hope dh isn't getting it. At least they're getting it before Christmas. :)

Well I finished the last of my christmas shopping yesterday! The hardest person to buy for is my stinking single brother. He is already a huge shopper and pack rat, so he obviously is in dire need of nothing. LOL I ended up getting him the Magic Bullet. Did anyone ever see that stupid infomerical?

Today I need to get outside for a walk while the weather is this beautiful. Other than that, volunteer at ds's school and then figure out dinner.

Back to work today. I am so scared driving my car. I'm listening for every little tick and noise. :)

Our classroom party is today and I believe I have a lot of copying to do... yeah, I do! I DO have a lot of copying to do (down the hall, away from the classroom)!!

Lots to do after work including making an appetizer or dessert for dd's girl scout award ceremony tonight.

It's core classes only and a max of 4 classes. He must do the same cirriculum, but he has been moved from AP classes to Academic to help ease some of the work load. He is 'officially' taking LA and History now, Chemistry will maybe be added next semester. He has to finish his stuff by the end of the school year, but not the semester. He receives 4 hours a week of instruction, one on one with his homebound teacher. It's amazing what you can get done with one on one instruction! (kind of like homeschooling I guess) Art is needed to graduate, but not considered a core. They tend to let the kids do it homebased (if the teacher cooperates) with the homebound teacher just sort of being the messenger. Same with spanish. Most all of the teachers are understanding and usually waive some stuff. You have to remember that most kids have usually been out sick before they go homebound so they are already behind. In some cases, when it's a known/planned absence (like surgery) there is a more finite time line and expectation. When it's something like with ds, it's more vague.

Okay, today is the day I stop procrastinating! Doing okay so far. Got Sis and her dh's ordered (dinner from A La Zing), cards/checks mailed out to nephews and families, did one more step on Mom and mil's present and made a few phone calls. Woo hoo! I still need to call ds1's teacher. He told me yesterday he's been having stomach aches in school and is having more problems with a girl in his class. Hopefully she'll have some ideas.

Grocery shopping later. Mom took dd1 and is doing her shopping. I'm staying home with ds2. Poor little guy is having major tummy troubles and has been sleeping most of the morning. :( When Mom and dd1 come back, dd2 and I will go shopping. That way ds won't have to leave his comfy nest on the couch. No care group kids tonight. (shhhhh... :yippee:  )

Dh has a meeting at church tonight for our Living Nativity program and dd1 is hoping to go too if she doesn't end up babysitting care group kids next door. This is the second year she's been the flying angel and she loves it. She's suspended from a crane hook about 75ft in the air. Better her than me, lol! It's a pretty big production. We use live animals and the CE building is set up like a manger. The kids can pet the animals after it's all over. :) Still can't believe Pastor brings a horse into the sanctuary!!!! 8o We even had a camel one year. That was a hoot!

Still having dsl problems but the tech promised me he'd get it resolved. He's sending out a phone company tech to check the signal strength (thanks, Amy!) and replace anything that needs replacing. It's supposed to be in the next 24 hours, but we'll see. Our phone lines are crappy anyway.

Ann, I'm surprised too that they didn't haul you in to clinc. 8o Hope the soreness doesn't last long.

(((Vea))) Hope your Christmas break re-energizes you.

Jenn, I'm so sorry you have sooooo much copying to keep you away from the little cherubs! :newwink: Enjoy the peace and quiet of the copyroom!

Just popping by for a quick skim to see what's going on here, I know I missed a bunch I will have to catch up on. I have been in bed with pnemonia most of the week and still feel like I was hit by a train. Sil has to two little ones during the day so that gives me a bit a break to rest. Not that I get much rest coughing my head off all day/night long. Meds are slowly helping, but not fast enough for my liking. Luckly I have my Christmas shopping done... one less thing to worry about.
Time to see if I can get some sleep....
