Outside Christmas Lights

We went on a quick drive around our area to see all the Christmas lights...man alot of people don't do lights anymore, and the ones who do, do a lot of WHITE...it was so nice when we did see some Colored Christmas lights....

lots of those blow up lawn ornaments....I only saw a few nativity scence....

So do you have colored Lights or all white or mixed?

My friends who moved to Texas, just won holiday lawn of the month, over 30,000 lights. I miss not having that next door!

White or Colored?

White or Colored?

All kinds! They do the house with white icicle lights and then run a strand of the big bulb lights in red. It looks so neat.

I have seen some of the blow up things, mostly the lighted deer. We have white lights on the house and colored lights on the tree, so far 500 but going to buy another 200 for it next year. It's a tall tree. I like opposite on the trees whatever is on the house. A lot of houses here have lights but not everyone. I love driving around looking at the different houses too. :)

our neighorhood has gone wild this year!!! we have a contest, have had a for several years, but man..it looks like people are taking it seriously now! LOL
we used to see only the white lights. i went to colored several years ago and now i see alot more of those. see lots of those blow up things. see lots of lighted candy canes and those snowflake garlands.
poor dd thinks every year we are going to win. heck, i do our lights off of one plug and two extension cords and half my neighors have added extra fuse boxes..don't thinks so! LOL
one neighbor did the coolest thing. all she has in her front yard is a wooden manger with a large lighted star behind it. it's then spotlighted with a soft white light. it does make you pause and remember what the season is all about!

We've got a lot of those blow up things in our neighborhood too. It was funny the other night when it was so windy. Some people didn't have them secured very well and had to go outside to secure them a little better. They're really cute.... :)

I LOVE THOSE BULBS....That is what we have around the house, and a HUGE PEACE SIGN covered in Garland and Lights....its pretty neat....

Most people around here have all white lights... but every once in a while you'll see a house with all colored. My neighbor has the big colored bulbs... not a lot of them but a few around his windows and along the top. I witnessed someone stealing another neighbor's lighted snowman the other night... got a discription of the truck but no license plate. :rolleyes: My best friend's house is all lighted up... both colored and a lot of white. If/when I decorate I usually go all colored. :)
