Hello all! We missed you!! Just got home tonight and we are tired. I am glad dh has 2 days of rest before going back to work.
Disney was great....and very, very hot. Daytona beach was fun and more relaxing. Ds said the ocean tastes like salt and pepper. LOL
It took a while for me to get through 4 pages of new posts so it is Brichard's turn on the computer. Glad to be home!!

We had a great time, but it is always nice to come back home!
There were two unusual things about this trip to Disneyworld for me.
1.) I saw an Indiana Pacer! I work right by Conseco Fieldhouse and have never seen any players. I go to Florida... and there walks in Jermaine O'neal and friends. I didn't want to bother him, so I just asked a member of his entourage to confirm his identity and moved on.
2.) It was "Gay Day" at Disneyworld! I've never heard of it, but have since learned that this event also happens in California. I'm not uncomfortable around gay people, so I would have a little fun with my brother-in-law (who is a little homophobic) and come up and hold his hand. ;) I really will look to avoid it next time though. Although most were just holding hands, dw saw a few making out. I'm not ready to discuss the birds and the bees yet, much less the birds and the birds and the bees and the bees! ;)
Anyway, it was very hot but the kids had a blast!
The Buzz Lightyear ride was great! You actually try to hit targets and get a score. I thought I was hot stuff by getting over 100,000, but my father wasted everybody with a score of 270,000!
ds thought the Dinosour ride was the best ride, but dw said he spent much of the time with his head down! :)
Animal Kingdom was pretty boring with the exception of the Dinosour ride, and MGM wasn't all that great to me either. But I did get to ride the Aerosmith Rock and Roller coaster with my nephew at MGM, and I loooove roller coasters. But the Magic Kingdom and water parks were great!
I also got to ransack my body in the ocean. I absolutely love to hurl my body in waves! Woo Hoo! It must be genetic, b/c ds is the same way. He would get mad in the wave pool if we floated above the waves. He'd yell at me to hold him while the wave crashed on him. Then he would tell me to let go of him so he could handle the small ones himself. He was fond of karate chopping the waves! It was so cute!
The pools at the Disney resort and hotel in Daytona were a great source of fun for the kids. I probably threw ds in the air about 100 times as he would yell "Look out Below!"
ds was probably a bit young at 3 to enjoy most of the Magic Kingdom and the sultry weather took its toll. But, we had fun playing "babies" in the pool. I also doubled as a tree when she was a monkey in the water picking banannas off of me! :)
My kids' favorite ride was Buzz Lightyear...I think we rode it 8 times!!! LOL They still talk about the drop on Splash Mountain.

Loved hearing all about it! :) Dh and ds also  loved  the Buzz Lightyear ride. One of ds's favorite things about MGM was seeing characters from Toy Story, but there's nothing like Disney World, is there?? :* Sounds like you all had an awesome time! :yippee:
