Ann, what type of appt. does ds have next week? And when you find out how that damn laundry multiplies let me know. Every closet has a pile and the laundry baskets. I absolutely hate it when dh is on his running jags - it means 3 outfits a day for him alone! :tearhair:
A rainy Friday and I have dh's cold so I'd much rather stay home even if I'd have to look at the mess I created taking down my decorations.
Dd has a scout overnighter so maybe dh and I will have a date or at least rent a movie (I vote for that since it means I can stay in jammies).
Oh well. Off to work.
I am dead tired this morning. I wish I could just go back to bed, but NOOOOOO...dh isn't working today and he is already painting the hallway waiting for me to help him. Can you believe that a simple hallway is costing big $$$ We decided to go room by room and make things right this time around instead of slapping some color on the walls and then promise ourselves we will come back and do the rest at a later date. Never happened. LOL Besides repainting it a deep ivy green (cream is NOT a good color for an active entry hallway.LOL), we are going to paint all the trim, paint doors, seal the slate floors, get all new door knobs (there is 4 freaking doors in this one hall way) and 4 new hall lights for both downstairs and upstairs.RME Just for a freaking hall! :banghead: I guess with the amount of money going in, this is our final home. And here I saw a beautiful cobblestone home with 15 acres I have been eyeing near the park-just waiting for those stubborn homeowners to decide to sell one day. LOL
Got off work early today and ran a few errands with dh and sil. Think I might take a nap.
Sista, i think it's one of life's little mysteries like why is there always just one shoe in the middle of the road or where does that other sock go in the drier???!!!! LOL
Amy, that is your ENTRY or FOYER..your visitor's first impression of your home..
make you feel better about spending the money??? ;) sounds beautiful.

Morning!
dbf and I were both dead tired lat night...went to bed about 10:30. Slept really sound. Thank goodness it's friday. Although it was a good week.
Well have a great Day.
Amy, you are too funny...don't hold your breath on the stubborn home owners. There are 2 hours on the next street that I've been waiting to go up for sale, and I've been living on my street for 18 years...ain't gonna happen. Course, now that I've made my own home "beautiful", I'm not sure I wanna start again, lol.
Working. It's rainy, but temps are so mild.
kids last day at the YMCA....they are kinda looking forward to going back to school again ;) don't tell anyone...work :computer: been really busy lately, but its all good. :) I am meeting dh at the dentist @ 3:30 PM as we both have cleaning appointments......Kids went on Monday, funny they got good check ups, but while I was at the supermarket I found Listerine has a pre rinse for kids that will turn the teeth blue where there is lots of plaque....real eye opener for both my little ones....they are brushing more often and I think longer...Yeah Listerine.... Does anyone remember when the NDA would come to the elementary schools and give all the students those red tablets, and it would do the same thing.....
Hoping to watch movies tonight :munch: Would love Chineese take out too :)
Amy - the Ivy Green paint sound really nice.

Meeting some friends at Las Margaritas for dinner tonight. I'm really looking forward to it. We don't go out with this couple too often, so it will be fun.
I'm getting Sarah at 12:00 today. I need to run a few errands before she comes. I'm wanting to get back to Kohl's before their sale ends... maybe pick up another shirt or sweater or something. I'm dieting again and don't want to buy any pants and having them end up too big, so am sticking to the shirts for now. I think I've got plenty of pants (both dress and casual) for now anyway.
It's already almost 40 degree's. The snow that we got is melting fast and will probably almost be gone by the end of the day. I think were suppose to get more by the end of next week but not much. So far this has been my kind of winter... can't complain. :)
Not much else. Hope you all have a great day today...

Good morning. Last day of vacation here. I am getting my housework done so I can exercise and scrapbook. We are getting more snow. The last three weeks we have been covered with the white stuff. Pretty unusual for our area. My boys are ready to go back to school too. We had two extra days off before Christmas due to our blizzard, makes for a long vacation. My oldest ds hurt his ankle at basketball last nite. Have to see when he wakes up if he needs to have it looked at. Going out w/my girlfriends for supper tonite. That will be fun. Have a good one!

That sounds very interesting and #4 ain't nothing to sneeze at. I'm not sure I understand "treating the whole child"...I assume that's more in-depth that just looking at the sympton(s)?

You're getting the snow (unusually) and we aren't getting any (unusually). Hope your ds's ankle heals quickly.

Took ds2 shopping yesterday. Was nice one on one. Found a great deal on kids jeans at Old Navy and got him a few pairs and am thinking I should go back with ds1. Need to call a clinic for ds3, looks like a sliver in his finger and it looks like it's infected or something. He said it's sore so hopefully that can be taken care of once we get there. Was thinking about going to toysrus or chapters, maybe both. The kids have gift certificates and they could always get something to add on to whatever they got for Christmas. And I love book shopping. :) It's warm here, supposed to go to 12 today. Someone said that we are not getting winter at all this year but the weather is supposed to continue like this through March. Yahoo, no 20 below in Feb. either. lol But I do feel guilty, I know that as much as I like the weather we are having, it's not good. Al Gore has a special on the super channels that I would love to see but haven't been able to yet, about the global warming. Anyone else see it? Thoughts/views?

I have his book, but I haven't really read it yet. I might start on it after I finish the one I'm reading.

Are you talking about An Inconvenient Truth? Or is this something different? (The movie was very good, btw.)

I cleared two closets yesterday. Need to get to the thrift store. Took my cousin to the airport. The roads are a sheet of ice.
Doing laundry (it multiplies here, too!), more sorting/organizing. Making a dent in the baby's room, but still have a lot to do.
Have a great one!

they look at his entire medical history, all illness ect from birth. not just the GI tract like a GI doc would. they have a team of docs from all specialities working together. think like the show "House". Kind of like medical investigators.
also learned that adolescent pediatric care is ages 15-25..thought that was interesting.

I love House...I wonder too if they will admit your ds...I would think maybe not on the first vist? but who knows. 15-25 eh?
That is great Ann! Going to a group that can look at him with a fresh eye is definitely hopeful. I am doing the same with the development group with ds. Package all his history, tests and evaluations to give to them so they can look at the components that make up ds. I have faith that they might be able to give some insight. Love the feedback too! Getting yourself worked up over dread or fear of returning symptoms is almost as crippling as the symptoms themselves.

it's required that we have all the history, records ect. he had to go through a prescreening to even get to the appointment desk! we started this around the beginning to middle of December. funny story. our pediatrician said 'take the first appointment at you can get, i would like it if you could get an appointment with the head guy, but just get any appointment in there and then i will call and get you moved up.' i call, get through all the prescreening stuff and they ask you i who like an appointment with, and i say the head guy. ok..let me check..uh our first appointment is january 10th. i am like which year? LOL called the pediatrician back and told him and he said 'i couldn't even have gotten you in that quickly!' LOL
yes, we are hoping biofeedback will teach him how to cope.
Bev..hopefully his doc has a better bedside manner than House ;)
Sista not far at all. It's in the Medical Center. We live on the westside of town where the Westside Medicial Center is (so that's where we usually go) but this is the place that ds stayed in when he went into the hospital in 7th grade and where dd was when we had the west nile scare. It's maybe 30 minutes at most.

Well, today is a long tiring day. I woke up at 8am to begin work on a Martin Luther King program and I just finished. Then I must begin packing up my belongings to return to school for another tiring semester. Thank God, I only have one more semester left.
By the way, I saw a commercial on tv about the Listerine that turns your teeth blue. I found it quite interesting and whatever gets the kids to actually take care of their teeth.

My boys have it, too - they go in spurts with using it though, guess it depends on which bathroom they are brushing in. LOL

Hmm, 15-25....that could explain some of my highschool and college dates and their immaturity. ;)
