I obviously haven't watched it in a long time. Does Meredith Vierra not work the last hour of the show? I never see her. They just did the big anniversary show for Matt and it ended this hour.

Did you see her interview w/Donald Trump? What's the deal with the 'feud' between him and Rosie O'Donnell? I can't stand her personally. Ever since she came out she's been so in your face with everything - so boisterious and obnoxious.

It started when Donald gave the Miss USA contestant who was out getting drunk a 2nd chance. Rosie was joking (or raggin) about how Donald Trump be the moral compass for young girls since he had cheated on both wives ect. It was actually pretty funny.
Donald goes on Larry King and calls Rosie fat, a loser, a has been and that he was going to have someone come over to her house and steal her girlfriend away. Also that Barbara Walters hated Rosie and was going to fire her ect.
Except for an little comment on her blog, she has pretty much not commented. He is going on every show around calling her a fat loser ect. Still doing it.
Lots of people think the reason why he is not letting this drop is to get publicity for the Apprentice.
just loved how he portrayed himself as an innocent victim. i loved how Meredith kept asking him why he wouldn't let it drop.

I can't stand her either. She's got such of a strong personality... doesn't care what she say's or who she may offend... she's just way too out there imo.

they each had valid points (they being trump and vierra). he said he'd love to stop commenting but he keeps being asked by the interviews. but she came back with " can't you just say no comment ". lol both good points imo.

I noticed that she's not as light-hearted as she used to be, but I still like her.

I missed the show, but did a video search on Yahoo--"Odonnell +Trump" and saw the clip. I thought she was funny and he sounded very angry and nasty.

i can't even stand to watch the view anymore b/c Rosie has just gotten sooo arrogant lately. I much prefer to watch Ellen b/c she's a lot calmer and not as outright as Rosie.

I sure am glad that most are NOT like Rosie at all ..

I quit watching the View a long time ago. I can not stand how ALL the women scream over each other and talk over their guests!!!

Sista, Donald's points would have been valid if he has not continually stirred the pot. It is one thing to say when the question was brought up in all those interviews, 'she was out of line', but he took it to an incredibly dirty and personal level. An interviewer would ask him 'what do you think about Rosie's comment' and he would say 'everyone know she is a loser, she is fat, she lost her tv show, she bankrupted her magazine, is in uneducated and not a success'. Now, one of his criticism of Rosie was that she was inaccurate when she said he had filed for bankruptcy (he said it wasn't him personally, and it was reorganization for his company)..but yet, when interviewers would point out that Rosie had one several Emmys and had ended her show to be home with her kids while it was a ratings success, he would comment that well, she is fat and a loser. So consequently the next interviewer would say 'Donald at your last interview, you said such and such about Rosie' and off he would go on a new tirade. She hasn't commented since the initial comment. He was the one perpetuating it. He should have handled it the classy way his daughter did on the Today show.

oh, i just read that Melaneea (or however you spell her name, Trump's wife) was on ET and defending her husband saying it just showed how big of a bully Rosie was since she wasn't replying to any of Trump's comments!
yeah..it's just the media dragging this thing on
i think he is terrified that his show isn't going to do well and has jumped on this like a gum on a shoe!

i highly doubt this situation will hinder The Apprentice from getting ratings in the new season. Everyone loves Trump and will just blow it off. I think a lot more people believe Trump's side, simply b/c like most of us here, a lot of people are tired of Rosie's tirade's. She's the one that totally blew that Clay Aiken/Kelly Ripa mess way out of proportion last year. It was just an innocent thing and if Rosie had just kept quiet about it and not said anything it would not have been such a big deal. I swear, I think Rosie thinks that she is like the spokesperson for the gay/lesbian community or something the way she acts. It really gets on my nerves, but c'est la vie.

I agree that Rosie is definitely over the top in claiming homophobia, and she most definitely made too much out of the Kelly/Clay thing, but Kelly did go on the show the next day and say how mad she was at Clay and how out of line he was for doing what he did. Rosie then made the stupid jump that it because of homophobia.
I think the whole thing is perfectly ridiculous and like I said, I am a fan of neither, but, no one will convince me that Rosie is perpetuating this at all.

i think they give women a bad name. they are so rude to their guests, they only care about their one liners, their opinion ect. and it isn't just one, it's all of them. the show started out so wonderfully and then became a cackling hen party!

Oh I long for Talk shows...LOL....

I had ds when Rosie just started the Rosie Show...it was great then easy to get into, she was so down to earth as far as being just as star struck as I would have been meeting Barbara Striesand and all....but then she got a little ****y, first with her icky crush on Tom Cruise and then her attacking Tom Selleck when he was a guest on her show.

I liked the view at first, found it enteratining, but it changed quickly, I stopped watching it when they got rid of the first co host chick...

I never get time to see them anymore, I hear the Ellen is good

Ever since Rosie got on the View it's almost like it's the Rosie show because to me, it seems like she has pretty much taken it over. I thought seeing she was the newbie, she'd sit back a little, but I guess knowing how Rosie is... that was a dumb thing to think. LOL I really don't like her boldness. I enjoyed watching the View more before Rosie became a part of it. :)

Barbara hired her to be the "moderator" so she kind of is in charge. I really thought I'd love seeing Rosie on a talk show again, I loved her show. She is just way over the edge for me now.

Rosie's show had a huge following though and I'm sure she thought it would bring more viewers/ratings. I'm glad to see Star gone come to think of it, she bugged me too.

Seems to me that "the Donald" is the one coming across as the bully. She had a hit show. So she did poorly in college, that doesn't mean she isn't successful, or smart for that matter. To continually call someone fat, uneducated, a loser, to say I may sue her because it "would be fun to take her money". Those are things a bully would say.

I used to love Rosie, but admit that since she's "come out" she is too in your face with her views. I'm supposed to "be tolerant" of her lifestyle (and I am). Do I agree with it? No. Is she at all tolerant of my beliefs? No, she would call me intolerant and a homophobe.

I'd be mad too. You don't know where that hand has been! Not being "homophobic" as Rosie would say, but hey, maybe it's got more to do with hand washing after going to the bathroom. If he's at all like my dh, a little water on your finger tips is not a hand washing. LOL!

Yeah, she was hired to take over Meredith's job as moderator. Miss her in that job. Love her on the today show. That was a good move on their part. I've liked Meredith for decades now. Oops-telling my age.

I heard on ET tonight that Barbara Walters and supposedly told Donald Trump that she didn't like Rosie and was sorry she hired her. Of course.... Barbara Walters is denying that she ever said it… but I'll bet she did. I just can't picture someone like Barbara Walters having anything to do with someone like Rosie. LOL Like I said before, they’re so totally different from each other.

Diane, Barbara sought out Rosie to work on the View. She might find her abrasive, but she is the producer of the show and if she didn't want her there, she wouldn't be there.

Sista, Clay was guest hosting and put his hand over Kelly's mouth to stop her from talking. You could tell at the time she was miffed, but nothing was said. she came back on monday (the show in question had been on a Friday) and during host chat said how much it upset her and that he was out of line. Can't remember which day the 'you don't know where that hand has been' comment was made.
Now..the two sides..
Kelly is a known germ a phobe and doesn't like anyone doing that. she was also miffed at Clay during the whole show..he was being rather obnoxious and that was the straw that broke the camels back.
Clay said he was just joking.
Rosie then goes on her show and says that Kelly made a homophobic remark with the 'you don't know where that hand has been'.
Kelly said she didn't.

Well ewww! And I can't imagine her meaning anything by that. Rosie just takes every chance she can to call someone a homophobe it seems.

it gets more interesting every day.. this is from perezhilton which is a gossip site..

http://perezhilton.com/

"The **** has hit the fan on The View and Star
Jones is laughing her pretty, lil' face off!

Both The New York Post AND The New York Daily News are reporting that a huge confrontation went down on Monday in the makeup room between Barbara Walters and Rosie O'Donnell, who returned to the show yesterday from her holiday vacation - though the other ladies were back the week prior.

Here's what went down, according to Page Six!

- The fight started around 8:30 a.m. when Walters walked into the hair and makeup room at ABC studios and tried to hug O'Donnell.
- According to spies, O'Donnell recoiled from Walters' touch and yelled, "You kept me in the newspapers this whole time!"
- Both View producer Bill Geddie and Walters tried to calm O'Donnell. Walters told her, "I did everything I could to squash the story" - prompting Rosie to scream, "You didn't call me for 10 ******* days, and you didn't tell me what you were going to say on television!"
- During her vacation, Walters issued a carefully worded statement saying, "I'm sorry there is friction between Donald and Rosie. That said, I do not regret for one moment my choice to hire Rosie O'Donnell as the moderator of The View. "
- After O'Donnell's outburst at Walters yesterday, Geddie jumped in and told her, "You've crossed the line." O'Donnell retorted, "Cameras are now outside of my house where my wife and kids are." She turned to Walters and said, "You went all around this and never called [Trump] a liar. You never said, 'Donald is lying.' You never called him a liar."
- When Walters tried to defend herself, O'Donnell erupted, "Are you looking me in the face and denying you didn't tell him you didn't say this? You're a ••••••• liar."

And, the most shocking thing of all???

Cindi Berger, publicist for both Walters and O'Donnell, didn't deny that the altercation took place!

Says the rep, "Whatever happened in the hair and makeup room was hardly a squabble. It's business as usual, everyone has moved on."

Meow!!!!

We have a feeling Rosie might not be coming back to The View next year. It's a shame. She's revitalized the once stagnating show, as evidenced by the boost in ratings.

O'Donnell has already expressed interest in starring in a Nip/Tuck spin-off, so her future job prospects are bright.

As for The View...

Wouldn't it be crazy if they brought Starzilla on board again????"

looks like ol' Barb is trying to play both sides of the fence!! LOL
