I slept in until 9:30 and still feel like I could sleep more. We were traveling fools this past week and saw so many great things. We went to Berlin which was the highlight of the trip. Now I'm interested in reading some of the history behind the Berlin Wall's rise and fall. The part that was still standing is the 3rd generation wall. I didn't even know there were 3 different walls. I guess I didn't pay attention to that part of history because it wasn't of interest to me at the time. Now I'm interested. We took some GREAT pictures. My sil left yesterday and then we had friends over for dinner last night. Back to my real job tomorrow. I can't wait to be back with the little ones.

I'm so tired right now....don't know why I'm up @ s 7:30 on a sunday...especially since I could fall asleep until after 1:00 last night.

I've got a baby shower to go to this morning! Then I think just home to do laundry and watch football. Nice sunday all and all.

dd was asked along with about 20 other kids to help in the presentation. they are doing a really cute skit asking for money for their arts program. We supposedly have an appointment time. Open audtions are from 9-6 today.

Dd and dh have gone to church; I'm home since I was up all night with this stupid cold.

Will probably be at the hospital on and off today. Need to do laundry whenever I'm home.

Well, today is Sunday and I'm headed back to school on a long bus ride. I have my reading material, snackies, blankets, I think I'm ready to go. It's hardly to believe a month went by so fast and now I'm headed back to start a new semester.

Ann, congrats on your dd's school, that's sounds like a lot of fun.

well, it was really interesting. i would have loved to hear some of the stories! the young couple that went in front of us had been selling homemade ice cream from the back of a truck and were trying to finance their business. saw some guy with an assitance dog who was raising money for that. they were filmed but we have no clue. when we left the line was all the way out the hotel and down the street!!!!!!

Morning, ds has a game then dd has a game, then we are off to a Birthday Party for my girl friends little boy, so dh will meet me there with dd after her game.

dh wants to bake a carrott cake....I am ok with that :)

Dh is taking ds skiing again today (they went yesterday) and I'm doing more closet sorting. Throwing tons of stuff away and donating even more!

Went to church, came home to make lunch but everyone starting making their own. lol Doing laundry, will bake later, need some banana cookies and a blueberry pie in this house. ;) Kids need to go through backpacks and ds1 has to finish a project. I felt so bad for him yesterday, he lost everything he had saved on a floppy. It's a lot of typing so he's going to dictate to me or dh later this afternoon. Shouldn't take long doing it that way. Tonight we are going to finish a movie. We were getting to tired to finish Pirates of C, dead mans chest last night so we are all wondering how it's going to end. lol Can't believe tomorrow is a school day.

Got up early, went out to breakfast. We took the van to Menards to pick up the rest of the stuff we'll be needing for the bathroom. I thought we had our tile picked out but decided it wasn't the right color so have to start all over again with that.

We made an appointment to bring my car in tomorrow to get it fixed. I'm quite surprised that they didn't total it because I'm sure the damage is probably more than what the car is worth. It's an 87, but it just hit 70,000 miles, which is low for that year. I don't want a different car... I'm perfectly satisfied with it because it's a good car and it still runs real good. I'm hoping they get me in/out quick with a loaner car because I have to get back home in time to take care of Sarah. Hate when everything happens all at once. LOL

Good tv tonight... FINALALY all new shows, no reruns!!! Can't wait!!!

Went to church this morning. I still need to vacuum and dust and clean doggie nose prints off the sliding glass door. I think a nap sounds better! :goofy: Might do my night out tonight instead of tomorrow night.

what a day....basketball was great....dd's team only lost by 1 point....argh...she did so great...even made a free throw...:)

Took ds to the party early, as I was traveling on the 71 freeway ds and I saw smoke, thick smoke, the kind your can taste.....all of a sudden it was dark, had to remove the sunglasses....saw about 5 firetrucks just stopped on the side of the freeway.....kept going, got to the 91 freeway and it was all clear got to the party but called dh to warn him that something was up that way...and to take the canyon instead, everyone was talking that there might have been a plane crash because the smoke seemed to be coming from the local airport...yikes was hoping it wasn't, I did find out that it wasn't a plane crash but a huge fire burning......http://cbs2.com/topstories/local_story_007204750.html


Party was at one of those indoor inflatable places...kids had a ball...saw some strange adult behavior :rolleyes: :nervous: One of the Dad's there hit on me....which was cute, but weird at the same time....glad dh showed up with dd and stayed...didn't think he was going to...but it was great he did we all had fun on the big slide.

Took the kids to El Torito after for a late lunch/early dinner, still think the local hole in the wall mexican place near us is better :blush:.....then home, dh made a Carrott Cake from Scratch :drool: dh and I watched the Black Daliah...interesting movie....then we all watched the Grease auditions....

I am beat...kids are in bed and back to school tomorrow....I am watching the Apprentice....some interesting people on this season.

I was surprise El Torito was still around too....so when we saw it we said ok, lets try it, its had been over 14 years...well....I will choose my hole in the wall any day of the week....especially mine, they will cook a chille reno for me that is seedless so its not too hot for my gringo mouth...lol..

Renee...what a scary and weird fire.

Ann and Renee...getting hit on at our age, lol. At the beginning of December when dh's plant closed there was a gathering of folks at a local bar. Dh and I and a friend from my work joined everybody later in the evening. We're all hanging out, dancing and whatnot...well this one guy ends up asking me to dance and I'm thinking it's a guy from dh's work cause he'd been hanging around our group quite a bit. Then it got creepy cause he was wanting to "slow dance" to a fast song, lol. After it was over I go over to dh and he and my friend are laughing. I'm like, who is that guy and dh said he didn't know. I'm like, doesn't he work with ya'll? Nope. Then he keeps coming back and I'm trying to get dh to kiss me or something so he'll know I'm taken (guess the wedding rings didn't work, lol). DH and my friend thought it was funny, but I thought it creepy...in a nice sort of way, lol.
