hi my son is 6 and his dad called and told me that he was touching his brothers private parts. is this normal for a child to explore others? i have been told so but i am very concerned. 8o

My first thought would be that it's probably normal curiosity. But I think it would depend on how he was touching, if he'd done it before, if he appeared to be imitating something he may have seen elsewhere, etc. I think the best thing to do is to call your pediatrician and ask his/her opinion.

Have you talked with him about respecting other people's bodies? I lean towards curiosity, but I would sit down and talk to him. Tell him that other people's body's belong to them and just like his belongs to him and no one is allowed to touch him wear he would wear a bathing suit.
