I am literally about to go insane. I remember a song back in the early 90's that was a power ballad. I remember waking up in a hotel and it was on. I want to download that silly thing if I could remember the group. Mel and RCT, I am hoping you have good memories!

I want to say it is by Firehouse, Warrant or along those lines, but I have checked out their songs and it not there.

It starts off:

It is 6am in the morning when the alarm rings. (that is all I remember! ROFL)

It has a huge soaring chorus though that is extremely romantic memberable. LOL

Think woman! LOL The gist of the song is realizing you have fallen in love and you are missing that person because they are miles away? I keep thinking "I finally found a love of a lifetime" by Firehouse, but it doesn't start off with those lyrics.

"When I Think of Love" by Lee Ryan?

I looked up the lyrics, and the one I am thinking of has that as the beginning wording. Wouldn't that have been awesome for you to be MIA and then come back and solve my brain fart? LOL

Working on it! LOL I only have a few songs by lighthouse (forgot the even existed) but it wasn't one of those. Someone at dh's office may know.

If you are not sure by reading the lyrics, try this link ( hope it works). You can watch him sing it on youtube.

Scroll down the list to 6 am and you will find some songs there that may be what you are looking for. I'm thinking if it was a ballad, maybe it was the Styx? Unfortunately, I don't have that song that is listed on my album, some reason I can only find greatest hits. Let me know if none of this works and I will try other resources. I can't see me not finding it today though. lol

Nope..Its not him. It was by a early 90's rock band. I keep batting around Winger, Warrant, White Lion and Firehouse. It isn't those-or at least the song doesn't show up on napster. I swear this is driving me insane.

OK I have been singing two songs together all day

This one (BUT NO 6 AM)

Breathe

Hands to Heaven

As I watch you move, across the moonlit room
There's so much tenderness in your loving
Tomorrow I must leave, the dawn knows no reprieve
God give me strength when I am leaving

CHORUS:
So raise your hands to heaven and pray
That we'll be back together someday
Tonight, I need your sweet caress
Hold me in the darkness
Tonight, you calm my restlessness
You relieve my sadness

As we move to embrace, tears run down your face
I whisper words of love, so softly
I can't believe this pain, it's driving me insane
Without your touch, life will be lonely
CHORUS
Morning has come, another day
I must pack my bags and say goodbye, goodbye
CHORUS

and something I'm not sure if I am making up or not...LOL...I'll keep looking..

Man, I'm usually good at general music trivia and great at hairbands... but you have me stumped thus far. If you can think of a little more let me know. Although I liked hair bands, I pretty much despised the more glam bands like Winger/Warrant/Slaughter and Firehouse. I was more of a Motley Crue and Ratt guy. :)

But even though it goes against all of my rock and roll ethics, I will try and help you find a Winger song if it helps you. LOL

I actually saw White Lion open up for AC/DC back in the day...

Winger - I Need You Now Lyrics

Here I am
At six o'clock in the morning
Still
thinking about you
It's still hard
At six
o'clock in the morning
To sleep without you

And I know that it might
Seem too late for love
All
I know

I need you now
More than words can say
I need you now
I've gotta find a way
I need you
now
Before I lose my mind
I need you now

Here I am
I'm looking out my window
I'm
dreaming about you
Here I go
At six o'clock in
the morning
I feel you're here beside me

And I know that it might
Seem too late for love
For
love, ohh ohh

I need you now
More than words can
say
I need you now
I've gotta find a way
I
need you now
Before I lose my mind
I need you now
More than words can say
I need you now
I've
gotta hear you say
I need you now
Before I lose my
mind
I need you now
I need you now
